well im running quite fast 43's by memory. With the RX7 LM yes is said it. Its fast

All right, the Vertigo doesn't seem to be quite as competitive as I hoped.

I'll try a few JGTC's tomorrow.

Never know, he might just use a mini and take it easy on us.

btw, I saw zeroh started to point out the times I had kept to myself earlier today when I got the chance to run and yes... 41's are where my zonda seems to be coming in.

I might get to run a bit tonight, so maybe that 40.5 will come out for me, who knows, but for now it's dinner and dope... till later on.

Damn nice times!!!

I cant seem to get the thing to go faster than 42.274, anything faster isn't clean :irked:

i tried the diablo out earlier, i think i was in the 44 range somewhere, this was w/ only a few laps and no tuning except for widening the transmission. This could be a fun car to run, tho definently not the fastest this week, i think it'd hold its own quite well, will have to get more in depth w/ it. theres still more cars i wanna try too, i really dont wanna jump on the vertigo or zonda bandwagon

Well, the vertigo was holding its own with the competition; now I'm gonna have to really bare down on this controller!
BTW, new T-times and a near-fastest-ever laptime in the vertigo (I gotta keep going, tho, if I ever want to compete with the big boys...):
T1: 0'11.933
T2: 0'44.221

I'm afraid I'm going to have to stay with the Zonda.... I just pulled a clean 41.752...... my fingers hurt, my oil is dirty, and my mind is trying to figure out how to tweak that suspension even more to get this car to corner harder.

Jpec07, I think the vertigo really loses with its top speed.... I am hitting at least 10-15 more mph at the end of the straight in the zonda than I was in the vertigo, but I do like the vertigo's handling much better... its a little more forgiving at times.

 yeah, thanks. :D

I really was looking forward to the vertigo and may still turn that sucker in, but Im not really sure.

I was also thinking about my castrol or denso supra's just because I drive a toyota in real life and figured I would represent.

However, the Zonda just seems like one hell of a machine... I mean, I ran the vertigo to start because I knew it was the best, then I ran the zonda, and my times actually came down way more than I figured.

It's the powerful engine that can keep 4th gear accelleration in 6th gear. Way too much torque and hp to not win this week. I figure some of the other cars may draw my eye, but at the moment I am pretty much playing with the zonda alone. However, there are still cars to be run and tested, and until then, I wouln't make a final choice.

I might wanna run something that isn't the zonda and try to make a run at zonda times. It'll be hard, but it could be fun.

I'm gonna run this into the ground for you guys and try and do an underdog-type thing...

I was trying out other cars earlier today.... The LM Rx-7 does give the zonda a run for its money around the track. The C5-R is just lacking a bit too much power up top to keep up, and the jaguar race car is waaay to heavy to compete. Im sure if someone spent a lot of time tuning the diablos suspension it could keep up pretty well. The Vertigo just isn't cutting it compared to this thing and the storm v12 is even worse....

So my prediction....
Pagani Zonda Race Car
LM RX-7
Diablo (for those that have one)

I might have a sleeper up my sleeve, but i'm not sure just yet...

The Tommykaira ZZII and, possibly, the Subaru Impeza LM should be able to stay within a second of the Zonda and Denso. Also, the Oreca Viper abd the 3 race NSX's have 1000+HP when broken in so they may be able to hang. I haven't tried any runs yet, so who knows what will be good, just throwing some ideas out there...:D

I tried to use the RUF RGT. It was fun to drive, but the whole RR Drivetrain threw me off and I couldn't use it effectively. I may give it some more work later on in the week, but the ZZII has captured my attention:

Tommy Kaira ZZII
T1: 0'11.603
T2: 0'45.093

Well, as I said earlier, I am running the red and green castrol NSX with 1044 in my endurance, and this (with the super hard tyres and too short gearing which was running out of revs 3/4 down the start/finish straight) was getting me the T2 at 46's. Think that T1 was like high 11-low 12.

Well my car selection now is down to three cars. Each with a reason behind it.

Vertigo, the very car I was suggesting for this week in the suggestions box thread.

RX-7, this car feels like the best gt500/gtu car in the entire game at the 900+ hp level. But mainly because I can choose the color from my gt editor. :D

Alteeza LM... gotta try and represent the 4 door toyota. ;) Which reminds me... chaser:confused:

Ok, updated the first post to include the fact that the Escudo is excluded. Wierd.

Also, I will allow the Diablo JGTC to be run this race. It is a hybrid, but it's one that can easily be found out if altered in any devious way. You can use the Diablo but just keep it clean. ;)

Sounds cool boom. I might end up in that thing. (the diablo)

However, at the moment, its down to the 3 I mentioned before. It should be noted that the zonda seems to be pulling times about 2 or so seconds below the fastest followers. Of course, that might change with the diablo being a real possibility now.

btw, the rx7 lm in green is just perfect :D

just tried out the impreza LM. its definently not the FASTEST, but HOO HA! is it fun to drive, GREAT brakes too, i can wait till im just about on that 90 degree right hander after the main straight before i start braking. 200-50 in 2 seconds. hahaha after about 5 laps i cracked a 44.9 w/ it so its definently decent, hella fun to drive tho. its already fairly well set up from the R11 race we did a few weeks back w/ it, tokyo's pretty similar in layout. anyways, off to test some more cars

::edit:: Altezza = yummy. i was easilly putting out 44.5's w/ it. very nice car. off for more testing

so JGTC cars are allowed??
i tried the regular zonda and hmm.. got a 47 dirty hahah!
imma try some JGTC cars tommorrow when i have time then..
fast cars + tokyo = adrenaline rush :D ;)
this race will be a fun one for me
im gonna try and give everybody a run for the money

Well, I'm a little pissed off atmo... The power in our house is so annoying... 55 laps into the second to last endurance left for me, and I left it on to continue tonight when I got home from work (ie: now).. Only to find out that the power had gone off today... 55 laps down the drain... Oh well....

ehh, that sucks, i hate when that happens. i have a similar problem. my ps2's kinda close to the floor, and im in here playing my cat likes to lie right by it, and sometimes he'll roll over and stretch his paws out or somthing and accidently hit the reset button or the disk open button  boy do i get pissed off, whenever he lies down by it now i slide him down a couple feet so he cant reach the buttons. hehe

the more i drive the diablo the more i like it. tho, theres still somthing about it i dont like, i dont know, it is a fast car when used properly tho, i just turned out a 44.0 w/ it. 43's are on the horizon. its a quick car, just takes a little work. still a couple more i wanna try out tho before i make my decision

guts bout da power cut. i'm just starting this olr stuff this week and jees, wot a tme to start....this track has walls.I h8 walls, im surposedly an amatuer:odd: and ive only done 1 clean lap:banghead: .i dont unerstand, i like the car im using aswell but it just wont keep its magnatised arse off the walls:banghead: .Ohwell back to play more:D gotta show da game sum luv no mata how much it frustrates me

well, i think i know what car im running, and it aint gonna be a diablo. this car gave me a 43.3 after some laps, 42's are definently possible in this thing. its still no zonda killer, but it should give everything else a good run for its money :mischievous:

::edit:: you know what, scratch that car too. im gonna have to go w/ the denso supra. i know its kinda unoriginal, but ive never REALLY tried to drive the wheels off of that car before, and i know it can be a fast car when used properly, so i wanna see what i can do w/ it. after pulling a 42.8 on a sloppy FIRST lap w/ that car, plus the track being tokyo, i just cant say no to it :D let the games begin

Well, since my endurance is now over (:(), I whacked somsuper grippy slicks on the Honda, Fixed up the gear ratios a little, and a few laps down, I'm now down to a 44.1xx. Think that there might be another 0.5-1 sec max out of this car, so I probably wont be driving it, but thought I'l see how it went. Have to try a few other cars... Wish I had a few more of my original $10mill that I started the online racing with... Now I'm down to below the $4 mill mark... Makes it a little hard in a week like this.. Least I halready have a heap of decent cars to try. Wish i could give that Diablo a spin.. Oh well.. Later

Now i only have been racing in the OLR i haven`t been racing other cars apart from the slow ones.I forgot how fast the fast cars are oh my god.I am running the Zonda rc but i only have 2 days as i am of to Barca on the weekend an tips on tuning this car
i can get it to go fast but i doesn`t like to slow down??????

yea now im running on zonda rc
i dont have that many race cars in my garage and i only have 400,000cr :(
oh well... its a fun car nonetheless.. very fast.. im used to <500hp by now... and driving this 1100+hp beast is just crazy
best T2 so far 43.366 clean
still need to find the right settings though
downforce and brakes must be turned up almost all the way

Yeah, me too. Total newbie at the OLR type stuff and was a bit disappointed to be 'amatuer' too. Noone else i know gets anywhere close to me... i need a challenge and I agree ' what a time to start!'
I rather dislike Tokyo - cant say as I hate it cos that's reserved for SS11 - but i reckon i should put in a reasonably emarrasing time in a supra...

Good to know there's someone at the same level as me at this kinda thing....

The RX7 seems like it could be a good car to run this week, but I'm gonna stick with the Vertigo. It just agrees with me more than any other car in the game, and I feel it will bring in the fastest times. Who knows? maybe speed doesn't win the race...

welcome to OLR man
i started out as a beginner.. only ran 1 race in beginner level.. and then boom bumped me up to amateur, but its good though.. i love competition.. and i just keep telling myself that if others can do well, i should be able to do so too...
but experience IS the best teacher.. this is my 3rd week racing in OLR (started racing in week 35)
and most of the older racers here have been racing since week 1, and thats is like 1+ year of experience...
but im pretty sure we can catch up... ;) :P (in about 100+ years from now)
