I've been to busy this week to spend more then ten or so laps and I'm way to hung over today to care about it. :ill:

Considering getting a wheel though, what do some of you use besides the logitec?

i'm a little curious about something. do you happen to have any sort of replay device?? i am not familiar with your name personally and you have eluded to the fact that you are in division 2. i also noticed how even though you've been quite active in this thread you don't have any splits listed until many others came before. now don't go getting bent out of shape or anything. infact, take it as a compliment if you will (that's how i always took it anyway). it's just that i've been around a while and a 1'06.833 is pure division 1 quality without a doubt and there are some minor red flags opping up in my mind regarding you. don't feel bad please. believe me, you are not the only one. i just like to make sure everybody is legit around here. i personally ALWAYS jump when i am questioned. nothing like setting a sceptical observer straight.

Max,

I think he is in Div I now. He's been racing for weeks now and has always posted agressive times. Check the archives.

was any replay or logger data made available for those runs?? if so i would like to review it. of course if i am wrong, i'll be the first with an apology and a congrats for heinrich. i would not question if i had no grounds to do so.

Heinrich's times have always been pretty good and he has shown steady improvement over the weeks and earned his way up to div.1. I've never had any suspicions about his times, personally. I think he does not have a Sharkport though. He seems legit to me...if I had any suspicions I would have voiced them a long time ago.;)

again i must stress that even with this being said, i feel i must see for myself in some form or another. i have no urge to up against CFM or anybody else, your support of heinrich is greatly appreciated. unfortunately, i still have not heard of any proof of his times. when i have questioned racers in the past, i have been right a vast majority of the time. NOT EVERY TIME, but a vast majority. this is not an execution or the spanish inquisition, i just want the guy to prove his speed.

Yes, I am not wishing to fight about it with you either Max, just relating my feelings about it. If you want to see for yourself that's entirely your buisiness;)

Believe me, I am not shy about calling somebody out either, if I smell BS I will say something.:mischievous:

Hey guys before this escalates into something way OTT then I will try and put Max's post into my own words :)

Ok we all been running the weekly whenever we can and we do what we can in the weeks/races we participate in ..

... however ! eventually all racers have to put up or shut up ;)

It happened to Arco , Flinx .... (ahem ! Me and Max ) Loads of guys ... infact it's a good thing, It's a compliment and that's that !
you made the Respected Verified Racers Notice!!!

If anyone takes offence to a request as such  they have something to hide IMO

My own opinion is Heinrich is most probably Legit but it's time to get your Green Card mate, you've been called out now it's time for you to deliver 👍 Good Luck:)

Well even though Im not actively running this race, I still feel like the subject at hand is something I can opine on.

Fact is, when racing like this, you really do have to put up or shut up, and even more importantly, when a racer like max starts asking questions, you've gotta take it as a compliment.

When the pro's are askin about your times, that means your competition to them, and there is nothing quite as sweet in this game as knowing you can hang with the best.

Hienrich, prove your times and shut them all up. :D
For that reason, I also suggest you hold onto that replay... data may be asked for. ;)

And frankly, everyone under the 1.08.5 mark should be thinking about this too... it's not like pros are the only ones who can have their times called into question.

btw, I've had my times called into question before... and damn did I prove those suckers wrong. :D

ya...I have looked for a "shark-port" which I have found is now called an "x-port" (sharkport being discountuned sometime back as I have been told) for about a week now. I live in NYC and I assume you can find anything here. I've been to 20 or so stores from comp-usa to a scary little store in brooklyn...no go. I have found it online, the "x-port" that is but everywhere I have seen it it is out of stock.

Is the sharkport and x-port the same thing?

I assume it is PC only. I'm a mac guy, anyone out there using this thing with a mac and Virtual PC?

I understand the need for this verification....problem is the one thing that can verify things seems to be hard to find.

ANy ideas?

amazon.com ................. for shark/xports

I think only when asked I suppose:D There is other ways ....

loggerdata compared to another few drivers on the same sectors

No-one else has been asked :P no-one is asked to buy a replay device either , just common curteosy to give some form of proof

this is common practice:)

remember i'm not the requester, just answering some questions is all:tup:

amazon.com doesn't stock sharkports and I can't find an x-port there.

I can see the need for verification here, I've been wondering how this works. For all we know (and I am not pointing any finger) anyone could be just watching posted sector times and chopping off a few seconds here and there and making a final number off (I don't get the sector time discussions either actually). I race a few things, one at a pro level, in the real world. Races always happen with all parties in one place and the same course and timer, etc....Every other race I go to there are issues about official times and timers and all that stuff...and we are ALL there! This virtual racing takes alot of trust and it seems to me as someone new that most of you guys are know/trust each other (online as far as times) and it's been that way for a while.

I've been thinking how I could verify my times. I'm slow as death but I was preparing myself for it. Thus I'm looking for the x-port thing. Otherwise all I would have is a digital camera...

As i said ... I dont doubt Heinrich ... condsidering I've hit flat 1.06 T3's :D I'm just airing my views on his Validity Request :)

Yeah, regardless of what has gone down, I do trust in hienrich, so, h, do us all a favor a whip some ass. :D

Of course, let me be the first to warn you... you better have that finishing power... in my book, p and max are infamous for a final sector thats just as fast or faster than what you would think. (:D go look at the viper concept @ gv2 weekly race... I was on the same t3 as P yet came out in 4th place behind P, ODP, & unified... although still pulled 4th overall. :D  )

Well I guess I got a bit famous after posting that time

About the X-port, trust me guys, for me living in a 3rd world country, it's so hard to get devices for the PS2(imagine that I'm trying to find a multitap and I haven't find one yet) and less success I have had with the X-port, there's about 2 stores left and see if they have any service where I can order it and I don't care if it will cost me more or not, because really guys, when I see some grueling fast times, I would like to see those replays too, but unfortunately can't do that at the moment.

And to proof my time, well maybe if I post all my sector times of the replay at the end of the weekly, I don't know, the other suggestion would be the X-port but let's see if in any of those 2 stores left I can get it.

And I think Kent said something about from the T3 to the end, well I have to improve that, I took pretty much on the outside that tunnel corner, but recovered that lost time in the S turn...

For the end, I guarantee I'm not BS'ing, I would like to post my lap replays, especially that one from the Wet SSR 5 with the Evo VI(I think I was the only one on the range of 1'22 with that car).

Anyone still want to talk about this, you are free to PM me, adiós.:)

Well hienrich, now it's just a matter of how much you want to prove your times.

You can try to get an xport and wait on that.
You can put down all of the analyzer data.
You can forget about it and pretend it was never brought up.

Good luck with your choice, but I do suggest you atleast take the no cost route and still provide proof of your times... without the proof you will always have a lingering fart of doubt hanging over your times.

Good luck my friend.

Actually dude, what you really have to do is wait till you first turn in your time. With that turn in your replay data. (which I think will include sector times and avg. sector speed.)
Then the data will be compared to somone who made roughly the same t1,t2,t3 splits.

The section data should come close to matching if the t times come close to matching. (along with final times hopefully ;) )

Im sure that someone with similar times, :cough: max :cough: , will supply data to compare with, and then from there your straight.

I do not care at all what happens, but I really hope that everything is fine. I hate when people end up doing something stupid like cheating.

And I've been racing with you for several weeks hienrich, so it would really suck to lose you now. Work at this race as much as possible before the deadline, then turn in your data and time.
I imagine you could also pm boom about exactly what to put down when submitting replay data.

Good luck and god speed.

I´m not sure can I improve my time anymore. Tried for couple laps but I couldn´t do anything special. I might give couple more laps but I´m not sure.

And about the X-Port, I might buy one. But it is so expensive. I have found one place to buy it, but it is 40€ + 9€ mailing. :irked: Finland is an expensive country :banghead:

Heh, I forgot my mom's digital camera has a movie mode. I could place it infront of the TV and let it run instead of spending x amount of dollars on an x-port.

Just for you, I checked...

http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=delivery

Confirms that Play.com will deliver free to Finland.

http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=PS2&title=110622

X-Port V2 at Play.com - £14.99, and currently in stock. That's roughly 25 Euro.

So far all I can manage is a clean 1'08.4xx lap. I've hit a couple 1'07.9xx, but couldn't quite keep them together. The car is mindboggling. Understeer then oversteer, then I start bitting the controller.

Quick question. When I viewed the replay of my fastest lap, the lap time displayed at the end of the replay differs from the lap time I get while driving. Which lap time do I use?

You use the laptime thats on the save file. NOT what you see at the end of the replay, but when you go to load the replay, look at the bottom. It should tell you your real total lap time there.
