As of last night there were 8 of us in the worldwide top 100, out of 14xxx times. :P

Not quite me - I was 280th in the world last time I checked (which I'm not ashamed of :embarrassed:).

But this is what I love about it. I'm both surprised and chuffed it is still pretty popular. This is almost certainly the most popular thread I've ever started on any forum :D

It shows how many people are wishing for the old system back. Its stupid how we have to jump through all these hoops just to get a functioning leaderboard/Rivals System. We shouldn't have to finish a lap to view the leaderboards, and we should be able to set ghosts.

I've found that if you set the homologation division, then switch to a car in that homologated division, then return to the race setup screen and press X for track ribbon selection, then if you press Y you can see the leaderboard without having to run a lap. It's still a lot more difficult to access than it should be but it saves a little time.

What I find even more moronic is how these leaderboards have the file indicator showing that replays/ghosts are available on these laps, of course we have no way of accessing them but it's nice to know that they're there :banghead:.

I'm not happy with my times and performance!
Not at all...

Time Trial, or if they wish, test drive.

But it would be time to they give us TT option in Free Play!

How to start some petition?

We need TT for stuff like thread and everyday use - so we can take laps how many we want and quit, with our progress, time and distance, been saved!

I think time trial has many advantages over regular racing:
1. You can compete with other players without having to be in the game at the same time with working internet. Set your time whenever you want
2. No overtaking/Mistakes/Rammers etc
3. No waiting in lobbies.
4. No lag/disconnects/etc.

For me, this thread is the only reason I play FM7 regularly, online racing and leagues are dead for me, singleplayer is boring.

PS: Can we possibly add „PC/Xbox“ and „Pad/Wheel“ on the leaderboards? since it doesnt change it woould be a one time effort, and I would be happy to collect the data...

All that, I would add rewind over PC/XBO, as more important (in my opinion).
I'm big opponent to rewind.

Rewind dirties your lap (as far as I know) so we do not need this information.

Edit: I have just seen that in the OP @RikkiGT-R stated „Use any assist you like“. As far as I get it though, only clean and valid laps which appear on the Leaderboard ingame count, right?

Really not sure, but I think that rewind can be used for clean lap in leaderboards.

However, this fresh photo may be best of art I can show in week 7:

Basically all laps appear on the leaderboard clean laps are above dirty laps they have a marker next to them, and yes rewind dirtys the lap

Any assist besides friction assists, as that'll dirty the lap.

Rewind immediately dirties a lap.

Rewind does indeed dirty a lap, although you can use it (and any other assist you like) for this - ultimately your posted lap is all that matters and I don't care if you have brake assist, traction control, automatic gears and anything else you want switched on.

I play hardcore, as does @Im_Lukas and @UnshavenYapper that I know of for sure. But drive however you wish :gtpflag:

I've just hit a 2:05.2 with the SLS, I guess that will do for this week but it's definitely a combo I will visit again in the future as I now know that 2:04s are possible. Recorded the lap as well as it's probably one of my best ever laps, still some missed apexes and was a little sloppy in that penultimate set of corners again but I'm happy with this one.

I've just noticed how little you change gears compared to me :odd:
That must surely save some time, you never even once went down into second (I do occasionally), and you took that last hairpin in 4th.
If it wasn't so late I would have another go but everyone is in bed. Maybe I'll find the time tomorrow...

Yeah this car has more than enough grunt to get it going from 3rd and it makes it easier to keep traction compared to shifting down to 2nd. The last turn can be done equally as quick in 3rd but I found 4th more reliable for keeping traction, especially with it being so bumpy there.

Good god I read that backwards at first and got wondering how you could possibly achieve a 2:02.5

I wish! I think #1 is a 2:03.1 and IIRC they're one of the top drivers as well.

6 votes so far and you've ALL voted for VIR so that's a given :yuck:

Division 2 and 3 tied tho...

If it's any consolation I think I've done about 2 laps total, FM6 and 7 combined, around the Grand West layout.
