It was weird it was like I was brain dead but yet I still lived.
I have moments like this fairly often. I'm not lost in thought, or unaware of my surroundings due to intense periods of concentration - just a gap in what I remember.
It's almost like sleep walking in a way, I don't remember doing, saying or thinking anything, even when other people around me can tell me exactly what I did during that time.
It seems to happen when i'm doing something that only requires 'autopilot' mode - walking along a footpath, or between conversation while waiting for food in a restaurant, for example - but never when driving, talking or using machinery, etc.
Other than that there isn't anything that I could truthfully claim as being unexplained - the closest and most recent example was when I had a few periods of sleep paralysis in my early teens, before I found out about it. Damn, that's some scary stuff when you don't understand what is happening or why!
My girlfriend experiences 'brain orgasms', or what we have now found out is more officially known as Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR). What a freak!
