TESTING LOUNGE

I am in my lounge now for testing

Mic's are on tonight, if we don't have much lag then I will keep them on for all testing sessions
but will turn them off for qualifying once the season gets going
đź‘Ť

Well I know when I'm pushing myself cause I actually start shaking a little bit that's when I know I'm above the limit I do the same in real life so I'm hoping to get into my zone today

I love that feeling and I think everyone will need to get into that zone for every race :D

Will the race still start at 7ish tonight? I can't join the lounge right now, the Rangers game is on! :D

We will be testing on free run until about 8ish then will have a half distance race đź‘Ť

Well turn out the Viper is very slow off the marks, think I lost 4/5 places at the start! Sorry about the wipeout into Spoon Mike, I understeered off in your draft heading upto it, and once on the grass had no way of stopping or turning to avoid, I was beeping the horn furiously trying to let you know I was coming, but as we got closer I knew it was inevitable! So sorry about that.

Other than that, I was having a lot of fun trying to catch back up, but due to me having to push I ended up making a load of mistakes and eventually gave up trying.

--------

Not sure about the tyre wear on other cars, but I did feel a 1 stopper was do-able on mediums in the Viper, but I was making enough mistakes already let alone adding worn tyres into the picture, so decided to 2 stop, mainly because of the lack of fueling needed in this race, so it would have been a quick in + out. On hards it would have been an easy choice of 1 stopping, might even be possible to do a no-stopper, longest i'd run on hards in practice was only 10 laps, so not sure.

Don't worry about it mate, I was going off anyway it just put me a little further off  As for your pull off I would suggest looking transmission đź‘Ť

I noticed lap 1 was messy from a few people (including me) and this is something that we all need to work together to improve!

I will be posting my full thought's on tonight some time tomorrow and a full review of the whole weekend will be posted in the week once I have had a chance to look at everything over both days đź‘Ť

Would like to thank all that attended tonight
All these tests will make the series much better and the more that attend the more we will learn and the better the main series will be :D

so

@Bashdem

This would be in a PM and not public if you cleared out your message box

If you want to continue in this series then leaving a test session is not the way to continue!

If you are having trouble with car set-up, driving line, or anything just as one of us for help and we will do our best to ensure that you can improve yourself and become competitive.

Have a think and come back to me as I don't want you to be quitting out of races and I want all the drivers in the series racing about the same pace đź‘Ť

I also want to thank all who attended its just a pitty some of you guys were making lots of mistakes but I guess that's racing anyway guys thanks again hope too see you all soon

It would be useful if you could all give some of your own thoughts from tonight đź‘Ť

Even though this is pre-season I would still like you all to report any incidents so that the stewards know to have a look đź‘Ť

Easy for you to say, haha! :sly: I think I'd need another 25-30PP to keep up with you!

 I think we all could

I'll be there tomorrow night. :)

I'm going to be busy before then, however. So I'm trying to get some practice now. Does anyone want to join me?

I'm going to watch the replay later this afternoon my time I will give my report then but I think all the cars are pritty even except maybe the mp4 but it still gets good times just harder to drive it will come alive at daytona if driven consistently but most of the other cars were on the pace I expected them to be some were struggling but I feel this was the driver not the car it's much harder for me to give you a report mick cause I got away pritty quickly cause of that 1st corner incident I think somebody in the mid pack could give a better then I can

I'd like to but I'm going out in 30min for farthers day breakfast and I've had 1hour sleep in 24hours so yeah no sorry mate

No I know, you were gone :D

I think 1st corner was the lambo getting a super start (I though where the hell did that come from )
cant be sure as havent seen replay but if you could have a look at it that would be great đź‘Ť

I dont think I will have a chance to watch the replay tomorrow (today for you ) so your review would be good for an almost instant review until I get round to doing a full proper review of the weekend đź‘Ť

I will post a full table of the free run test times tomorrw as it wont take me long to do but I know betwen the 2nd best time and the 6/7th best time was just over half a second :D so that was very promising :D

I was in the mid pack after lap 1 and they all seemed to be racing closely but when I got there they all seemed to very nicely move out my way 1 by 1  so I just concentrated on consistency and got 2nd from it :D didnt expect that :sly:

but all in all I think a very promising 1st test

The Road Course version? I doubt it:sly: The oval maybe it has a chance.:P

There is enough of the oval version for it to make a difference for the power cars but we are already thinking it does need a boost as it is so hard to master, but once it has been mastered it can be quick in the right hands. And the right hands arent mine

My thougths of the practice race. To me it was mostly practice because i have been busy and haven't have much time to practice this series. It was fun to join you and see how everyone was driving and how i fit in. I did lot of mistake but that's ok. Now i know how this MB behave. I did get some draft practice but need more to get used to it.
See you tomorrow.

BTW: What pit entry road we're using? Longer or short one?

Hey Johnboy the mp4 is 8teenths faster a Daytona then every other car the mp4 is the fastest car but hardest to drive I know cause I've tested it of you can control the mp4 except for Suzuka and Laguna and Monte Carlo it's the fastest car on every other track in the series but you have done 8 seasons of testing right you must really know the pp system right

Last nights race, for me was a good test..after a great start tucked in behind IWIN only to get rear ended and pushed wide on the first bend..(not complaining..first corner full pack etc..) but then the chase was on 9th place to 4th by the end of the race on two stops and plenty of mistakes..ferrari could've done a 1 stop which would've brought it in much closer....all in perfectly happy! IWIN too damn fast..lol.. :)

Managed about 5 laps at Daytona, best so far 1'43.4.

Viper seems great round here, only issue I've found is the lack of brake markers around the lap, really struggling to find the right place to brake. But other than that, all seems good! :)

Oh and what pit exit are we using? Exit into turn 1, or the inside lane which exits just after the small chicane?

if it was up too me i go with inside lane that way no one will be crashing in to the guys in turn 1:ouch:
