I can now release some details of the fastest and slowest cars in terms of straight line speed only ok the slowest car in the group is the Ferrari 458 and the fastest is the Mercedes sls amg I should be able to confirm pp of some cars in the next 1 to 2 days me and Mick will keep you updated.

OK so I am pleases to announce the PROVISIONAL car specs

All cars have been tested by one driver to keep things simple and avoid inconsistent data from many drivers.
Some cars may seem faster or slower than others over a single lap but have been balanced for race pace. Meaning a car that is fast over a single lap should spend more time in the pits for fuel/tires so that the slower cars that should spend less time in the pits will make the difference up.
Changes may be made following further testing and throughout pre season testing so anyone who has the time for pre season testing will be expected to attend as more data with all cars will be needed

I will update the car list with these specs:
Ferrari 458 Italia: 585pp
Lamborghini Gallardo: 588pp
Audi R8 5.2: 589pp
Ford GT: 590pp
Corvette Z06 C6: 592pp
Nissan GT-R Black Edition: 593pp
McLaren MP4-12C: 603pp
Mercedes SLS AMG: 608pp
And to confirm the new manufacturer
Dodge Viper ACR: 610pp

You are free to tune your car to the regulation PP any way you like.
Be warned though the difference in what parts you choose to use can make a big impact on the cars performance but will never speed it up far beyond what we are expecting from it!

This means provisional car selection is open, you are free to change your choice until 1 week before the 1st race (details of dates to follow soon)

I have spent some of today with IWIN at Fuji Speedway GT, we are not racing there in this series but I am this weekend for TOCA so was good track time for me .
All cars are lapping in the 1.33.0-1.33.5 with the exception of the SLS with a 1.31.7
It was a 1 off lap though and does use it's tires a lot quicker than the rest so will spend the time it gains on track in the pits.

CALENDAR NEEDS DECIDING NEXT

So Saturdays seems to work well for all involved so far so I think we can confirm that.

I would like the 1st race to be after the last race of TOCA, that is Sat 21/09
So if we can get the testing done by then will have the 1st race on Sat 28/09
and then although I did think 1 every 2 weeks that will take too long so will make it every Sat with the exception of Sat 23/11 as I already know I can't do that weekend at all 👍

I will set a poll to decide on time of day, the majority vote will be the time. If the result will really mess up the idea of you competing further discussions can be had

ALSO NEED TO KNOW WHEN YOU ARE ALL AVAILABLE FOR PRE SEASON TESTING

Mid week eve and Sunday afternoons are best for me.
Going to need 2 per week if we can to get through them all done in just over a month!​

To be fair to all competitors myself and IWIN are leaving our car choice to our team mate as IWIN has balanced the cars so has already had practice in all the cars and I am host so my team mate gets to chose ours.

I looked before and somebody said the pp system can't be worked out the funny thing is most dont really know how long this process takes to get right lol not a few days not a week sometimes I've beaten the pp system 6 times before it can be done otherwise I would waste my time it will work just give me some time and the cars will be updated as soon as possible

8 seasons behind us with these sort of cars and we have built up quite a lot of data (with respect). Will be keeping an eye on your findings for sure, MP4 more than most.

SLS worse on tyres than an MP4? Is tuning not allowed then.

Tune is allowed and so far yes I believe so, I haven't driven it for a long period yet but I believe IWIN has or definitely will be to check his work as he is determined it will be right before race 1

👍 no problem with you being a part time driver and as there is plenty of space at the moment you could have plenty of chances to race.

All part time drivers are to be independent and check independent car regulations as they all must be white but different color wheels (think someone has already got red)

To a answer for you johnboy ill admit your thinking about mp4 yes it can be a bit twitchy at times but it has more then enough acceleration to make up for it actually this may come as a surprise to some but I found the Audi r8 hardest to drive cause it oversteers coming in to the corner but then understeers in the mid corner but once again they are all doing within 500 teeths of each other but the merc.

I'm going to do testing on suzuka today after work so in about 9 hours from now I'm Betting that the 458 will be fastest followed by the gtr I'm then going to try daytona then I'm going to run each car in on bspec then try them in a longer endurance race to see tyre and fuel I'm going to put a lot of hours in this weekend to give you a clearer understanding of how good or fast the cars are in a endurance race. Also guys just remember we are all at different levels in terms of pace so if you use a handle car like 458 make sure you can get around corners quick and your braking is good that sls is fast but it has a lot of weaknesses I was able to keep up with mick no problem in the 458 and he had the sls my lap time in 458 was faster then he's sls which I manage 31s at Fuji if you want to know anything about the cars send me a reply or pm thanks for your time
