I would not rule that out heavyq maybe mick could upload the races to YouTube and add the link to gt planet but if you interested thats great what car you want to use once you have decided message it in thread glad to have you on board that's 12 racers

Since I know I cannot commit to this (IDK if my wife would approve of me taking up the living room for so long :P) is there anyone who can maybe stream the races to Twitch or record them to be watched later? I would love to compete, but being able to watch would be awesome as well :)

Unfortunately I don't own any recording equipment :( I would love to be able to upload the footage for all to see, can make stewarding so much easier.
Is there no way you could compete for at least some of the races as there are plenty of part time spaces still available :)

Although I do know Kimster has seen this :D he having thoughts that the same will happen again where numbers will dwindle as the season progresses :(. He must have missed the big differences in the line up :D

NEED SOMEONE WHO IS HAPPY TO DRIVE THE FORD GT TO TEAM UP WITH PNuTButR AT Irn Bru Autosport

We have 2 full time independents and one unconfirmed drivers at the moment:

If any of these guys would be happy to team up in the GT that would be great 👍

In time yes...but i'll wait race time decision (voting) that will be important decision because it's it seen that time could be 1pm and that's would not work for me at all :(
 
Some of you need to send me a friend request on PSN still.

I will be looking at getting some dates in for pre season testing soon.

Don't worry it won't be that early, am thinking going somewhere in the middle, probably room open at 5 for qali at quarter past so race at 6 if we canm

If that would really change anyone's chances of racing please let me know 👍
 
CALENDAR THOUGHTS

As I would like to get pre season testing going asap I would like to start pre season testing next weekend.
We have 10 tests to get through and to do them quickly it would be good to do 2 a week.
I will have a work out of exact dates tomorrow and post them in the calendar.
Any issues can be worked around!

Testing will be in my private lounge.
I will open testing lobby's at 6pm GMT and stay open until 9pm.
We will have a few hours of free run practice/setup time followed by a race long enough to test all cars for tires and fuel.
Testing days will be Saturday's and Sunday's starting next weekend.
Can everyone that hasn't already make sure you have sent me a friend request and let me know of your availability for testing sessions.

Also it is looking most likely the the race day timetable will be as follows:
Qualifying lounge open: 6pm latest
Qualifying: 6:15-6:45
6:50 I will leave to open race room
RACE ROOM WILL BE SET TO ALLOW AS MANY PEOPLE AS QUALIFIED!
IF YOU KNOW YOU WON'T MAKE QUALIFYING BUT WILL THE RACE THEN I WILL NEED TO KNOW TO ALLOW FOR YOU!
Race will start about 7pm GMT all going well, will hope to never be later than 7:10 👍

AGAIN IF THIS WILL AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO COMMIT JUST SAY AND I WILL TRY TO WORK AROUND IT​

I would like peoples thoughts on the race length, I am thinking about reducing the max race length to just 2 hours?

I am thinking this may increase interest?
 
Here's my thoughts (repeating myself) 6pm was/is earliest time that works for me (best time would be 8pm). So i have rethink my scheluder and commitment to this series - i might have to drop off or be part timer.
Race lenght: limited to 2hrs max sound reasonable.

A 6pm room open for quali would be OK with a 2 hour race length. I am awawe that there was 1 or 2 that said 6pm was earliest. Also I know we have 2 aussies and the will be racing early in the morning so trying to force a happy medium. I am sure we can work with 6pm as I really don't want people to have ro drop out as numbers are scarce 👍
 
Are any of the individuals sure that they don't want to team up? I really want to find out who my teammate will be so that we can get used to driving together. 👍

Yeah me and him had a few racers this morning he like the gt and the r8 so just message him he's really easy going

You would have to ask IWIN as I not been on GT today as been watching F1 :D

But I am willing to bet they are close 👍

I'd say a good start would be getting that McLaren through the corkscrew.:scared: Anyway im going to keep an interested eye on developments.👍
 
I run them at luguna a few weeks back but don't remember the time ill do a few laps soon and post my results

Yea the MP4 through the corkscrew would be scary :scared: :lol:

Don't quote me but I believe this is situation with these cars :)

But the Viper, despite it's power does not have great straight line speed and that's why it need the extra power over the MP4 that has a very good straight line speed but is hard to set-up and handle.

IWIN if I have got that wrong please correct me.

I'd lay my last 50p on the fact the only track the Macca will have a shot at will be Sarthe maybe Monza as an outside bet. That's if someone can make the tyres last long enough.:yuck:

I fully agree the MP4 probably is the weakest car as far as tires are concerned, but even though it has a lower pp than the Dodge it will still outpace the Dodge on the straight a little but the the Dodge handles a little better and is a little better on its tires so will equal the gap in the pits.

I have quite a few power tracks (trying to use only real tracks) on the calendar that the MP4 should be good at.

And input from other's is welcome 👍 (sarcastic comments isn't but you haven't done that on this thread)
I do advise watching our progress as there will still be changes made, I'm sure, especially through pre-season testing. I will say though the proof of the pudding will be in the driving, if you find a little time, build the cars, run them in, spec to the correct pp anyway you like and try them and tell me what you think, but you will need to do an endurance stint in each to see the true strength's and weakness's 👍

Edit: An after thought on your Laguna times question, way to pick a track everyone know's the MP4 will be weak at :lol:

Both low 123 at Laguna easy actually mp4 actually is not that bad but if you used too under 500 with racing tyres it is

Bottom line only time will tell.:)

Btw im not being sarcastic far from it im simply giving you 2 years test and 8 series experience with these sort of cars for free.:P
