I think it would be silly to use a new car anyway. Until it's run in properly they always punch well below their weight, or hp in this case. And when you do reach full break in the power drops like a brick. I think you would actually be worse off doing that?

Maybe make sure everyone knows once you're spec checked into the pit lane for qually you are not allowed to leave again. I saw someone, who shall remain nameless, going back out into the tuning menu during qually. I'm sure it was only for gearing or wing but it's not the point.

Anybody that knows the game knows this you will loss about 8pp at the end of a 2 hour race with a full run in car but with a car that starts not run in yes will be slightly slower put after about 20 min of racing it gets the advantage cause it starts to run in so just say you have a car with 590pp you will gain about 5 to 7pp depending on which car but at the end of 2 hours you will drop about 5pp so your back at 590pp anyway but a car that was run before the race starting at 590pp will actually loose about 8pp so that means that I'm on 582pp and the not run in car will still have a 8pp advantage by the end of 2 hours

Yeah basically in lehmans terms if u start with a new car at ur spec'd pp u will finish with ur spec'd pp also...however having gained 2pp every 20 mins until 145ish miles then it will drop fully back to ur original pp.but still around 8pp more than everyone else...does that sound right?

I once done a (non GTP) event @550pp Nurburgring 2hour with a brand new GT-R.
Started at the regulation 550pp and ended just over at 554pp having been to about 560pp (at a guess).
So even after 2 hours you will still be over the regulation and even higher in the middle part of the race.

Note that 145-150 miles (where a car is fully run in) will be about the 1h 30 mark so wont lose too much in the final half hour.

ah i see,so the after race spec check should still work alright..👍

should do 👍

could even do the post race spec check 1 or 2 pp (could go as far as 7pp thinking of the pp loss on average at Suzuka) lower than where people should have started to make sure they have lost power and not ended back on regulation maybe?

If I remember right the after race PP's were like this:

Audi 580
Ferrari 580
Nissan 581
Dodge 597
Ford - unsure no-one told us.

So all lost 7 pp.

TRACK LIMITS
As always the track limits are defined by the white line.

PIT LANE
You cant really go wrong on the pit entry, but please ensure you make it clear to other drivers your intention to pit by moving towards the pits early.

PIT EXIT
As in the pre season race we will be using the pit exit behind the wall on the inside of T1.
This is to stop cars coming out the pit lane straight into T1 braking zone.
Anyone seen not to use this pit exit will be given a 30 second time penalty added to their race time.

I will be hosting a pre-race practice session on Thursday's from 6pm for all that can get there. For those that can't attend this please fine 3-4 hours to practice yourself. Please limit your practice to this amount of time to be fair to all others as not everyone has the same amount of time to practice 👍

On race day my private lounge will be open by 6pm with spec checks at 6:10pm
IF YOU MISS SPEC CHECKS YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO QUALIFY SO PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME!
Qualifying is from 6:15pm-6:45pm
If you know you will miss spec checks for qualifying please make sure you tell me if you will be there for the start of the race as I will be hosting a public lounge set to allow the amount of drivers that qualified.
Public race room will be open by 6:50 and all drivers will be expected to get there as quickly as possible so we can get another spec check done before race start at 7pm :D

Didn't know we were supposed to be comparing. Don't recall pp as I was more concerned with actual power loss. Think I was ~34hp down but honestly can't remember. Did the oil right beforehand so whatever I lost was best case scenario.

I hope the finger isn't being pointed at me for this unbroken in car business because of my late fastest lap? I was on a splash and dash strategy at the end and with such a gap to 3rd I could afford a crash trying to close down IWIN. I pushed harder in those last 6 laps (on fresh tyres) than I had all race. Low fuel too don't forget so probably 85kg under just from that. And I'd had 56 laps of practice up until that point.

In for Daytona please 👍

We wasn't comparing was just taking notes and I noticed your fresh tyres and low fuel load for your fastest lap 👍

And I will put you in now :D

It's been a long an nice race. I was the last, but I knew it before entering the room. Only a miracle could have saved me.
Two things surprised me: that fast laps of some of you (never been 5-6" away from the first) and how fast that two hours went by.

By now, I'm not for Daytona, so enjoy it.

Ok. I actually wanted to stay longer for the post race chat but I got disconnected :nervous:

I also think certain cars will take a dirty oil power drop better than others. If I was to guess I'd say the 3 big engined V8s (SLS, Viper and Ford GT) would be the least affected on account of their superior torque. I know the Ford doesn't have a huge engine but it is supercharged as standard.

The 458 will probably suffer most with having the smallest NA engine out of everyone. Also R8 if not turbo'd but I think it has to be doesn't it?

Edit: R8 can make spec NA so probably worse than even the 458.

Shame you can't get there but we will see you next time :D

As I say after the race we did have a quick compare of PP loss and they all seemed about the same but I think the post race spec check will be done by regulation PP so you will always fall under that 👍

My MB lost pp from 595 to 588 if i remember right.

As i said earlier i'll skip Daytona and Monza.
