As long as I have dinner on time, I should be there. I've barely fit in any practice because, as usual, I've been swamped by schoolwork. :grumpy:

If I'm there, I'll need to work out during practice/qualifying whether or not my connection is fine because I'm not the only person using my internet connection.

OK mate, hopefully see you later 👍

I haven't had any practice this week either so am loading GT now and will be opening my lounge so I can get some practice in, anyone on is welcome as always to come and have some practice time 👍

For practice I am going to be turning voice chat on (as I know there is at least 1 other driver going to join me) and this will stay on for Quali but will be turned off in the public lounge for the race 👍

I am sorry Mikey but again I don't think I can attend tonight or any other race during the rest of your series. The duration of the event just clashes with my schedule too much and I can't rearrange with enough time gaps to work around it. Shame I was really looking forward to competing :(

Enjoyed tonight. Me and Glen were 3 or 4 seconds apart for almost the entire race!

Great win Caine and good chase for second Mikey.

Hope we get more for next week otherwise I think it's gonna be a very lonely race for everyone.

I was disappointed with tonight's very low turnout, especially after Dan left 'cause that left me at the back on my own to drive a very boring race. Laguna is one of my least favourite tracks, but I need as many points as I can get being one of the slower drivers. After going two laps down from the leader though, I thought I might as well call it a night.

I really hope it doesn't turn out like the last championship with less and less drivers turning up every week.

This race was very disappointing for me. I was straight on the pace but I had just so much mistakes and crashes, which made me loose and loose and loose time... I felt like a total noob :/
I also hope that all the signed up drivers will appear to the next races, already was a big shame to end the last GT500 championship earlier, as nearly nobody did the races :(
But nevertheless, great racing from all of you, good win from Caine. Thanks to all that attended.

I am also very disappointed with the very low turnout tonight :(
18 drivers signed up and only 1/3rd raced :(

Still a very good race anyway with my counter 4 stop strategy working very well putting me and caine sharing the same space of track with 1 stop to go, even after all my mistakes :( but then amazing pace from caine in the final stints of the race to bring it home at the front :D Very well done and congratulations :gtpflag:

But I really enjoyed the race thanks to my strategy meaning I had to pass almost everyone on track more than once through the different stint phases. I add to that to all drivers there tonight, really great wheel to wheel racing every time I got close to someone and as always a huge thanks to all that attended :D

I will post provisional results in a minute with a timer for incident reports taking us to about 10am tomorrow morning 👍

@Rob, With IWIN dropping out there is now a stewards position open if your offer is still open? 👍

Yeah, I can still do it. Steward.

You over-scored Caine by 2pts at Daytona. I make it 4pts between us; the difference between 4th and 6th, because our other 2 results are the same.

Oops

6pm is fine. I think you should be on three way tie with Glen and IWIN. 33 pts.

You are right again  my maths is 🤬 was a rush job though, well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it

Have just seen how caine got the extra 2 points  no-one spotted my mistake on the tables

Goood morning all..just like to thank all who attended at laguna it was a very interesting race for me..the first race where my pit strategy let me throw caution to the wind and not worry about tyres, and just concentrate on putting the laps in..A most enjoyable race! :)

Enjoyable yes, but very quiet at times. For this type of racing with the length of the events we need at least 10-12 to make it truly interesting and ideally a full grid but there's little chance of that.

I was trying to do the same but every time I tried to get a full stint of Quali laps together I cost myself more time by trying too hard than I had gained :(

Numbers are becoming an issue that is becoming a real concern for me.
I would like to have a minimum of 10 drivers at every race and thought that would be easily possible with 18 signed up, but there are too many people that sign up and don't turn up :(
I have to wonder if these people sit here on GTP signing up to race series and not show up all the time, seems a waste of everyone's time including their own :(

The criminal to blame is GTA 5 its killed more things than just GT5 events.:ouch:

Yeah, its defo becoming an issue.:grumpy:.i would hate to see everyones time and effort go to waste..we knew we were never gonna get a full grid for all races but as mikey said 18 drivers signed up,so you would at least think we could get 10 minimum..i mean life commitments, unexpected things that pop up ok fairplay, but for me "i'll make it if my dinners ready on time" does'nt quite cut it!:(

@JB that is very true and a great shame to blame something so good

@glen agreed :(

I am sure all stewards are happy and am pleased to say there were no incidents at all to look at :D So no changes to the provisional results.

I will do the official posts tomorrow some point 👍

RACE 3 LAGUNA SECA
RESULTS AND REPORTS

3 races now completed.
I am disappointed with the low turn out we had this weekend :(
there wasn't many more last weekend either :(
Numbers are becoming a real concern for me and I want to ask those that are not attending races to make more of an effort to attend as we want full grid's.

QUALIFYING

We had a delayed and shortened qualifying session this week due to connection issues.
We had a very close qualifying session this weekend.

RACE

The race was very quiet but still with all the different strategies playing out, I don't think most of us really knew where we were going to finish until the very last stint :D

No incidents reported or investigated so warnings have been given 👍

Congratulations to Caine for your win
A very big well done to all that finished the race
As always a big thanks to all that attended

Weather Report
I will be trying to set the weather to cycle from race start to end using the in game time.
So start at 13:00 end at 13:00 (for the night stint)

TRACK LIMITS

As always the track limits are defined by the white line.
If you can't see a white line then 2 wheels on the black tarmac at all times.

PIT LANE
ENTRY

The pit entry here is important for you to get right as there is a big advantage in time to gain and therefore a big penalty to pick up for it.
The pit lane starts on your right before the final double chicane.
As you enter you are expected to slow the car in time for the chicane that is in the pit entry lane.
DO NOT
HEAD TO THE CHICANE FLAT OUT AS THIS WILL RESULT IN THE COMPUTER NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR AND YOU WILL CUT THE CHICANE AND GAIN A VERY LARGE AMOUNT OF TIME!
ANYONE SEEN DOING THIS WILL BE GIVEN A 60 SECOND TIME PENALTY ADDED TO THEIR FINAL RACE TIME!

EXIT

As you leave the pit lane you will head towards the track but remain inside the white pit exit line until this ends (is not very long)

PRACTICE

I will be hosting a pre-race practice session on Thursday's from 6pm for all that can get there. For those that can't attend this please fine 3-4 hours to practice yourself. Please limit your practice to this amount of time to be fair to all others as not everyone has the same amount of time to practice 👍

RACE DAY

On race day my private lounge will be open by 5.30pm with spec checks at 6:10pm
Please arrive early to avoid last minuet connection issues
IF YOU MISS SPEC CHECKS YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO QUALIFY SO PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME!
Qualifying is from 6:15pm-6:45pm
If you know you will miss spec checks for qualifying please make sure you tell me if you will be there for the start of the race as I will be hosting a public lounge set to allow the amount of drivers that qualified.
Public race room will be open by 6:50 and all drivers will be expected to get there as quickly as possible so we can get another spec check done before race start at 7pm :D

PP PENALTIES

Caine -10pp
Mikey -6pp
Glen -2pp
Jammy -2pp

see you all there 👍

^^ nice timing mate :D got it on the end

To all drivers and regular GTP users please check out this link and get involved to help the admin improve the site and the way racing series are set up and found 👍

Was a very good race for me, wasn't expecting to be at the top of the times before the race, so was pleasantly surprised by that. The race went very well for me, made a few little mistakes -- main one was following Total who ran wide himself which distracted me and I then ran wide too  got damage from the off which cost some more time. At a guess I would say I lost about 20-30 seconds with mistakes. Didn't really see anyone during the race, Mike managed to get passed in 1 of the stints, but his own mistake let me back through. And that was it really, for most of my stops I still came out at the front, or very close to the leader. Had a little panic about 3/4 of the way through the race as I wasn't exactly sure where I was in relation to Mike on his 4 stopper, but the pace I had on fresher tyres enabled me to pull out a big enough gap to cruise to the line.

RS -- 7 stops seemed a bit extreme to me, did you decide before the race or just do it on the fly?

Also -- no silver + bronze for Hard Charger + Jump Start this week as Rob was the only person to gain any positions at the start or overall. I also removed the bronze positions from Daytona for the same reason (0 position gains)

My own mistakes is what put me behind in the 1st place

Early in the race I had the pace to catch you after each mistake meaning I would close the gap back down and then end up losing more time from another mistake and I still got behind you after your 4th stop knowing we each had 1 stop left but then your pace in them last 2 stints was insane  I just couldn't keep up :(

Well, I didn´t prepare really well for this race, which was a big shame, because I made mistakes the whole time 👎:yuck:
I couldn´t handle the tyre wear, and so I went to the pits after 10 laps... I should really have a better strategy next race.

thanks, my 1st stint wasn't very fast overall, but my 2nd, 4th + 5th stints were nearly all quali laps. 3rd stint is where I made most of my mistakes and tbh the 6th and final stint I was just focusing on bringing it home.

You need to update your sig btw Mike :)

It's a shame because you had speed (2nd fastest lap) Had you not pitted those 2 extra times, you could have been right there!

So I did, cheers mate 👍

---------------------

Did I really get everything right in the tables this week?

Tables look fine. Don't forget the updated handicaps at some point; Jam -2pp, Glen -2pp, Mikey -6pp, Caine -10pp?
