Man, what a weird race. First I think a man ran out to the track and almost got hit buy one of the Jaguars. Then Casto of Toyota gets the Lead, And Micheal didn't lead a lap. A Kimi kept going off the track. MY GOD! I'd say this was the weirdest race EVER!

Yeah it was surely different, 2 pacecar situations, toyota in the lead.. and so on.. One thing was normal though, Villeneuve spins out on the last lap, man he's not in the flow!

Anyone knows what that idiot on the track wanted to say? That kind of xxxx belongs on a golf course!

/D

I dunno, But I thought it was funny cause he looked like a scottish drunk. When I saw Villeneuve Block Micheal Shumacher like that I was hoping that he'll be with him for the whole race.

YEAH!!!!! JV was negociating his contracts by showing he could keep up whit both shumis in his POS bar!

He was like " hey Shumi! Kiss my grill!" lol was a good fitgh... A good race...

GOD it would of been tragic if that idiot would of gotten hit... Imagine the Headlines
" 2 dead after an asshole jumped on the track"

damm! What a complete lack of security (4 the track i mean)

And yeah the pilot would of been dead if he had hit... Its like hittin a 150 pound wall! at 300km/h!

It was a very entertaining race, especially with Rubens, Montoya and M.Schumacher having too pass so many people.

Rubinho deserved his win, he made a couple of amazing passes. I was quite surprised at Raikkonen's lack of pace in the end.

He had 2 signs around him.

One said "Read the Bible", the other one said"The Bible is always right".

It was supposed to be his peace dance apparantly?! :irked: :odd: .
What a w*nker thought, because of his actions though even Bernie said it wouldn't have an effect on the British GP I don't think it would of helped, and it will probably jeperdise it even further. Also I read he jumped out in front of Mark Webber, who'd just come out of the corner before the striaght at 170mph and had to jump on the breaks. I would really cack myself if that had happened to me. But IMO Barrichello really deserved that win.

I was also surprised at KR's pace towards the end of the race. Especially when you consider how him and da Matta were kinda pulling away when they were 1 and 2. I was also surprised at how da Matta also kinda fell off toward the end of the race also. I am currently watching the replay of the race because I was asleep during the first 45 minutes. Damn the 6:30 start time here!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Actually, a 7th place finish for Da Matta is incredible. And he did it in a Toyota too! I can't believe he was able to hold onto that lead until he pitted for the second time.

Rubens definately deserved this win. That battle with Kimi was awesome.

However, I don't understand what happened to Alonso near the end. It just didn't make any sense, as he was doing so well. I think I'm starting to become a renault fan now. Those cars may be slightly underpowered but they sure have the aerodynamics to help compensate. Even Trulli had the lead in the beginning.

This is one race worth recording... I'm going to tape the replay at midnight (Indiana time) on Speed.

I agree with you on da Matta, but when he was running with KR, he was running much quicker. Renault's aerodynamics are unreal . . . they are just so much freakin' better than just about anyones. So you are on central time too. What do you think of waking up at 6:30 in the morning to watch the race . . . actually it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't the summer and I had school, then I would be somewhat used to waking up early? It would probably help if I didn't go to bed at 3 either. :banghead:

Which one, Kimi or Da Matta? Da Matta was quicker alright, but just barely.

As to living in a state that has it's own timezone; it has its positives and negatives. I watched the replay on SPEED at 8 pm. If I got up at 6:30 to watch the race I wouldn't be coherent enough nor would I be consious(sp?) enough to follow it.

Both of them were quicker then, but especialy da Matta. Well that was like me this morning, I woke up to watch it, and went to back sleep with the TV on, about 30 minutes into the race, I heard da Matta was leading and wondering what the hell is going on?

in the race highlights show i swear i saw another piece of paper with the star of david on it over his crotch. interesting...........

He was only in the lead due to the arse who ran onto the track and Da Matta only stayed ahead of Kimi as he was carrying less fuel due to his 3 stop strategy in comparison to the 2 stop mclaren were running.

As for the BAR being a POS (as Mr Devil) put it, it's strange how Button was able to climb from 20th to 8th in. I think it's more a cas of the driver rather than the car being a POS! Villeneuves ego is to big and it's causing him to make a fool of himself, he should retire at the end of this season.

p.s. Justin Wilson will fly now he's in a Jaguar!

enough said......... there are fans of every driver out there, for different reasons. people have different opinions, thats it.

i used to support jv, and hated button, but recently that has changed. button has a lot of talent. jv may outqualify button 6 out of 10 times, but jv was 9th yesterday, and look where he finished? I am still baffled as to what happened to cause him to go way back in the field. it was button that was waiting in the pits after the maniac safety car incedent. yet button, who started dead last, made it passed everyone, including jv, to finish 8th.

i dont know, but to me all this "jv is the greatest" talk is just bullshlt. canadians talking up their driver.......... (ie, i am from malaysia. GO YOONG!!!!!)

A team built from the ashes of Tyrrell is being 'invaded' by Brits? I think not! It's chief executive has always been British. So has the chief designer.

I understand the national pride, but there has to be a reason why it's always Villeneuve's car that dies.

When he's on it, Villeneuve is fantastic, but the fact is that he's not on it often enough, and he's not worth the money he's being paid.

Cost and Points:
Button: $4m, 11 points (10th in championship)
Villeneuve: $12m, 3 points (14th in championship)

Silverstone results:
Button Qual: 20, Fin 8
Villeneuve Qual: 9, Fin 11

Let's think about that in terms of value for money, shall we? And then also in remaining length of career. In motivation. And that's all before you consider native ability, of which Button has at least as much as Villeneuve.

Jv asked 4 more money 4 preacautions... If honda dint deliver (IT aint...) he thought he would have trobles gettin a new place in a new team... just in case... as proved by the general thought of the ignorant public (not yall just some of u who think its allways his fault) he was right... ok sry 4 the brits comments im just gettin pissed and the fackt is that whit polloc evrything was even... Jvs car break down but as much as his team mates... now it allways falls on his head

You know I agree with you to a point, but this year JB is better than JV. I haven't yet been impressed by JV's driving skills, especially when you look at JT and FA and what they are doing in an underpowered car. And the fact is, I'm unbiased towards JB and JV, as this is my first year to watch Formula 1 . . . I would like to see both of them do well just because they are driving for one of the smaller teams, and frankly this year JB has impressed me more so far. But I sure as hell was routing for JV when MS was behind him . . . I sure did want JV to drive the hell out of his car and hold off MS.

Egos egos egos... WHAT ABOUT YOURS FAK!

For one, Webber is Australian! :banghead:

Coulthard is still doing well, it's just a shame he's being outshone by the future WDC!

Firman clearly bought his drive, but has the credentials being the reigning Formula Nippon champ.

Wilson too bought his drive but has proven himself, to criticise him for running so far down is wrong when he's in a Minardi! And you've clearly ignore his amazing first lap runs this season where he's gained 5 or 6 positions! Now he's been rewarded with a Jaguar drive for the rest of the season it'll be yet another Brit finishing ahead of JV!

Button is far from flawless but he also doesn't sulk about the car he's been given! As JV mouths off about the reliability of the car he's got Button keeps quiet and gets on with the job which was displayed with his fantastic drive at Silverstone!
I used to like JV when he drove for Williams, but when he moved to B.A.R. and tried to do a Schumacher and build a team centered around him, he failed. Now that Pollock has gone and JV doesn't get all the attention he clearly doesn't like having to share "his" team with someone else! Offering to drive for free is clearly i sign of desperation, just look at Irvine, he offered his services for free but no-one would have him because he's too much of a whinger much like JV!

He'll be replaced at B.A.R. next year by either Anthony Davidson or Takuma Sato. The next generation of drivers are coming through and there's no room for a has been like JV anymore.
