What A Game!!!

First, let me start by saying I haven't played a GT since GT4 on PS2. When my PS2 bit the dust many years ago, I decided to make a switch and bought and XBox. Of course being a huge fan of the racing genre, Forza Motorsport was one of the first games I bought. From there I was hooked. Since then I bought and played every Forza that was released. A few months ago, I decided to join the cool kids club and upgrade from my XB1 to one of the next Gen systems. While I was leaning heavy on the new Xbox, most my peers were on PS5. So, I decided to switch it up and purchase a PS5. And of course, one of the first games I purchased was GT7. All I can say is "Wow"!!! This game is amazing!!! From the graphics, car selection, tracks, customizing, competitive racing and even the community. This might be the greatest raving game I've ever played. I'm only a few weeks into it, but have already logged in quite a bit of racing hours into this game. I really enjoy the racing as it's not so easy to where you get bored with it and it's not so utterly hard where you get frustrated and want to put the controller through the wall. The car selection is great. Nice mix of classic, modern and specialty vehicles. The customization is insane. Some of the liveries just boggle my mind. And Scapes might be my favorite part. So many locations and options you can do to capture that perfect moment with your favorite ride. I could probably go on all day about how great this game is. I can't wait to see more great designs, race more challenging races and capture those great moments. It's great to be back.

Good for you. It’s definitely the best racing game currently available for console, hands down. It isn’t quite up there with GT4 (imo) but it’s not so far off.

After about a year I’ve tapered off a bit, but up until a few weeks ago I was playing the hell out of it every day. So definitely got my value for money with it.

My advice is to not get too obsessed with the car collection aspect or you run the risk of it turning into a dreary grind fest. Most of the mega expensive Legends cars aren’t really useful for anything anyway, they’re just for bragging rights and/or trophies. So don’t feel you have to mind numbingly grind away for credits or you’ll just sour the experience

Welcome back.

We all Would really welcome your fresh pair of unbiased eyes,
And brutally honest point of view on this game.

The good, the bad And the ugly of GT7 in Comparison with Forza

And Vice Versa, the good the bad and the ugly of Forza in comparing with GT7.

I am subscribing to the thread and am looking forward to hearing from you !!

I also made the switch from Xbox this year and I definitely agree with you. Gran Turismo has this 'premium' feel that even made a Mazda 2 feel special at the menu book in the beginning of the game. Beautiful music, UI and art direction. In car terms, Forza Motorsport is Toyota and Gran Turismo is Lexus. And then the ability to customize cars and take pictures of them in real life museums or locations, amazing. I have no idea how Polyphony could improve on this for GT8. A huge leap in gaming hardware is needed to warrant a GT8 imo. All they really need to do is keep adding cars and track to this game.

Exactly...

Such a simple analogy, i wish thought of it before.
I also have been saying or thinking the same, I am perfectly fine with how GT7 for the next 5 years as long as they keep adding and tweaking and in improving it, I really don't need GT8...

Edit:
Is there anything from Forza that you think is better and should be part of the GT game ?
Features or car or function or UX etc....??

Would love to continue the discussion here.
All in the name of making GT the ultimate car game.

The only thing I can think of that Forza Motorsport did better, is the Car Club feature they had back in the day. Basically a clan feature. You had these overall hot lap leaderboards, and the four best times of the car club members made up the time of the car club on the leaderboard. That created a lot of competition in the game and made people work together on builds and tuning. At one point I was top 20 in the world on the Forza Motorsport 2 overall hot lap leaderboard. Fun times.
