Currently, we have the Eifel, Eifel Flat, Andalucía, and Death Valley. When I originally bought GT5 I expected it to have a theme based on Route C1 (Tokyo expressways); sadly, it didn't. :(

What additional course maker themes you would like to see? I would like to see a theme based on Tokyo expressways (as mentioned earlier) and another based on Tahiti course, as seen in previous GT games. :)

Hahahahaha the coursemaker is finally here and already we have a thread on what would you like more....

It just goes on and on and on and on...

More a theme based on a harbor, without elevation changes, but with skidpads (road surface is mostly slippery concrete instead of tarmac, together with hangars and other buildings could it be a pretty awesome area to organize streetraces or driftevents.

Rocky Mountains Forest
Sicily
Champagne Vineyards
Finnish Lakes
Iceland
Toscana
Patagonia
Tahiti
Kenyan Savannah
Sonora Desert
Yucatan Jungle

Should be enough.
Nothing more to add :) Well... there is something.

Google Earth maps of cities with all the surrounding buildings. Of course with time changings.

Finnskogen Snowstorm (Norwegian WRC location with a twisty name)

Longford Circuit Australia which was active from 1953 to 1968. This circuit has features which I was hoping for in the track maker, but perhaps more realistically can be achieved in the GT7 track maker on the PS4. It featured a corner under a brick railway viaduct, a railway level crossing (you bumped over the rail tracks), a small bridge over a river and a long curving wooden bridge over a ravine with a river at the bottom (during races scuba divers were on hand in case any cars crashed into the water). Click on this link for layout and pictures:

I would also like a switch over feature - where the track crosses over itself such as on the Autodromo Juan Manuel Fangio in Argentina. Click on link for layout and more information:

Other features which would be nice to have include cattle grids and gateways - these would both be useful for anyone trying to replicate UK rally stages.

I would like to have some Urban themes including "Special Stage Route" Style Theme. I also would like to have some "Touge course" Theme.... would be really nice to slide my AE86 downhill. I really miss the Dirt & Snow Type themes.

I dunno but it's seems that some of your ideas are also similar to mine...

I would like to see a base theme where we can add elevation changes. What they have given us is acceptable is great for designing new tracks. However, it leaves a lot to be desired for trying to replicate existing tracks from around the world unless they are completely flat.

I always thought GT Arena was supposed to be a "black lake" kind of a layout that you can play with in the track creator, letting you make your own go-kart style track of a cone course. So you can do autoX style courses. Too bad this does not let you do it...

A city theme with placeable roundabouts, grid junctions and intersections would be awesome, but it's a total re-engineering. Bummer.

Edit: Holy thread resurrections, Batman!

Yeah I agree I miss my night tracks on toscana.I will admit that there are a lot of space that isn't used fully in the editor

I'm happy with the 4 themes, but would like to say goodbye to all the pop up, and say hello to more trakside objects and the ability to place them where we like and alter elevations.

In addition to a generic city theme, I'd like if they made themes of actual cities, where you'd make your course basically by putting up barriers around the permanent streets.

I also wouldn't mind if they made themes of all the original and real life tracks that are already in the game, so we could make older configurations of the tracks, or just generally desecrate them as we see fit.

Any additional themes would be welcome, but why not give us variable weather with Andalucia and variable time on Death Valley? The Christmas Seasonals are proof it's possible.

You know what other game had a course creator with city themes in it?
