Another random question...

I'm a plane freak, so I have this habit of recording nearly every aircraft I fly on:dopey:

Current list of mine as far as I can remember, might update it:

Airbus
A300-300: 2 flights (Air Maldives)
A320-200: 5 flights (SriLankan Airlines, Air India, Indian Airways)
A330-200: 2 flights (SriLankan Airways, Emirates)
A330-300: 11 flights (SriLankan Airways, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines)
A340-300: 5 flights (SriLankan Airways)

Boeing
777-300: only 1 flight:banghead: (Emirates)

Dehavilland Canada
DHC-6 Twin Otter: Allah SWT knows how many:crazy: I'm guessing about 34 flights maximum (Trans Maldivian, Maldivian Air Taxi)
DHC-8 Q200: 16 flights (Maldivian, Island Aviation)
DHC-8 Q300: 3 flights (Maldivian)
DHC-8 Q400: 3 flights (Flybe)

Dornier
Do 228-200: 5 flights (Island Aviation)

Embraer
ERJ-145: 3 flights (British Airways, Flybe)

Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to fly on a helicopter as of yet:(

Been on:
Boeing 767-[numbers]ER, 737
DC-10, DC-9
Couple of Embraers
Couple of Canadair/Bombardier jets.
And a couple of those medium sized Airbus planes that are like bigger than a 737 but not that big.

I'm gonna be on a Boeing 767-700 (not actually sure which model it is) today. For about the eighth time in four years. Yay for holidays in Croatia to see some of my family and friends every year. And I'm doing it twice this year  Before BRyanair came into the industry I used to take Airbus A350's (not actually sure which one it is again :boggled: ) there. Been on those at least 7-8 times. Plus occasionally there were some smaller planes I flew on as well, at least once. Also I somehow think I may have been on another Boeing I've been on before.

If anyone has flown first class whats it like?
I cant remember my last holiday was when I was 6 I am now 17.

If I remember correctly:
Boeing:
727 (Dan Air)
737 (Delta Airlines)
757 (Britannia)
777 (British Midlands, American Airlines)

Airbus:
A320 (Monarch, MyTravel)

Lockheed:
Tristar (Caledonian)

BAe:
ATP (British Regional Airlines)

My favourite will always be the Tristar.

Boeing:

747 about 10 times.
767 about 6 times.
777 once.

Cessna 182, 21 times but never landed in one. :sly:

Cheers Shaun.

I've flown a lot, but I can't say I ever took note of the model/type of plane I flew on. I'm really surprised how detailed you all are in remembering this.

McDonnell Douglas:
DC-9 (American Airlines) <- Can't remember what model of DC-9 it was. Could have been an MD-80 also.

Boeing:
737-700 (Continental)
737-800 (Continental)
737-900 (Continental)
757-200 (Continental)

Embraer:
ERJ-145LR (ExpressJet/Continental Express)
ERJ-145XR (ExpressJet/Continental Express)
^ I maintain both of those types and have flown on test flights too :D

ATR:
ATR-42 (Continental Express)

And yes, I am also a plane nut :P

I never, ever, ever flown on a plane.

I could never remember them all, but I've been on the CRJ-700 that got clipped by that A380 at JFK in the past. Otherwise just the standard 737, 747, 757, various Birbuses and several Bombardier regional jets.

I've also flown in a hot air balloon, which was awesome on so many levels, and is something everyone needs to do at least once.

I've been on probably between 10-15 planes. Recently I was on Air Canada Airbus A330's to and from Europe (To London, back from Munich).

Bombardier Q-400 turboprops from Porter Airlines to Halifax and back to Toronto, and a bunch of assorted Boeings and Airbuses which I can't remember.

A lot of airliners, the usual Boeing and Airbus stuff.
DeHavilland Dragon Rapide
DeHavilland Chipmunk
DeHavilland Tiger Moth
Bulldog
Extra 300 twinseat.

Not flown in (seems like I never will) but sat in a Blackburn Buccaneer and Hawker Hunter while fast taxiing.

Commercially, a lot of Boeing and Airbus as well. I honestly can't remember because I usually fly once or twice a year at least, for the last 20 something years...

But, smaller planes I can list at least one interesting one, aside from gliders and tow-planes and an assortment of single prop Cessna.

Cessna Skymaster P337G. Lots and lots of time in one of those, as my father would use it for cross country flights (Washington to Florida) when I was younger.

Cessna 152s, and I think a 172 a time or two. Gramps used to have a pilot's license. I now have FS2004, and I re-create some of the flights, flying a wide pattern around Shelby Co. (2HO) in Shelby, IL. When I was younger, I flew out of Macomb Municipal, KMQB, same grandpa, pretty much the same planes, though we might have had a Piper once.

I might head to Oshkosh (Wittman Regional, KOSH) this year, don't know. The Fly-in's always awesome. I also live in a city with two fair-sized airports, KPIA Peoria International, and 3MY Mount Hawley Auxiliary. (I actually remembered the code and had to look up the name. X3)

I've done plenty of flying, so have racked up journeys on most of the Boeings and Airbuses in service, including (off the top of my head)

A380 (Sinapore Airlines, in 2008 a couple of months after launch)
A320, A330 (lots)

B747 (too many times -the QANTAS ones are much nicer than BA)
B767, 737 (lots)
B777 (Air Canada - Sydney to Vancouver non stop - 15hrs of hell)

the little RJ things that American Eagle fly
Dash 8 turboprop

A couple of a 2 and 4 seater things that my girlfriends dad flys.

Was also on board a LAN Chile plane that dropped a whole lot of altitude over the Andes last year (and yes, our first thought was 'Who are we going to eat first?). The picture below is what was left of the toilet at the back of the plane, which we were 2 rows in front of.

Billions of 737s and A320s, courtesy of Southwest and U.S. Airways. I also was on either a 757 or 767 to and from Hawai'i (I don't remember because I was only 4)

There is an ex-military 337 at my local airport we got to look at recently. It was in for an inspection and maintenance and the whole interior was taken apart. Last weekend it was back in one piece parked out on the ramp.

I haven't flown in much of anything really, and I can't even recall the commercial planes I've flown in. Interesting, because I seem to be one of few people at school seeking a commercial cert that isn't totally immersed with airplanes. I'm a car guy so it's pretty awkward because I can't tell one plane from another. The only plane that was interesting was the 172 that apparently has been talking to me in my sleep for the last 8 years. Pretty soon I'll be flying those and 152s when I start flying lessons.

I've only flown twice in my life. A round trip from Houston to Los Angeles. Both the flight there and returning trip were on Continental Airlines 737's
