What aircraft have you flown on?

A lot, I've been in a 737, 767, I'm not a fan of boeing. I like airbus.

I've flown a full out 767 flight simulator in a large Airport hangar.

I wish I could say I've been on an aircraft - it's one of my life's ambitions but I haven't had occasion to as of yet!

In the perfect hypothetical world though, I would like to be able to restore some WWII-vintage aircraft and take them around to air shows and whatnot ... I can totally see myself flying those beauties!

To all those who have flown, though: I envy you!

I've flown a lot, but I can't say I ever took note of the model/type of plane I flew on. I'm really surprised how detailed you all are in remembering this.
If you're a fan of airplanes, it's no different than a car freak remembering all the cars they've ever driven :).

My list (that I can recall):
-737 (pretty much every variant)
-757
-767 (200 and 300)
-777 (200ER)
-MD-80 (80, 82, 83...I hate those things)
-A320
-A330
-Bombadier CRJ (a couple different variants)

I don't fly much. Last time I flew was about 5 years ago.

But I've flown on:
Boeing 747
Boeing 737
Boeing 757
Airbus A340
Airbus A330

Also flown on a twin prop engine plane once; I don't recall what it is though.

DC-8
DC-10
747-500

Haven't flown in years.

Really Solid? You must have some special magical way of flying on paper. :sly:

^ +1:lol: lots of these fictional aircraft variations, but it's understandable:D

We remember each aircraft variant as much as Kaz remembers all his Skylines and Miatas:D

I never, ever, ever flown on a plane.

Neither, only my brother, and my dad have in my family. I will fly someday though, cause the last time I checked, Le mans is in France :sly: PS: I Have to watch Le mans someday, not on TV, but at the REAL THING

I travel less, so I've been on the plane rarely in my life.

Airbus A330, Boeing 737 and 777. I don't know how many times I've been in the A330 and the B737 but only once with the B777. Never been into the 747 though... Has any of you been into the A380?

737s, 747s, 777s countless times, A320s, A340s countless times.

I was in Burma last summer and took a couple of internal flights. One on an ATR72 and one on an ATR42. Well it was actually three flights as the airline hopped their planes round three different airports, meaning we landed at one airport where about half the passengers got off and more got on before taking off again and finally landing at our final destination. Kind of like a bus or tube service!

AirTran Boeing 737 to Jamaica.
And a Southwest 737 when I was about 3 or 4, and I think that may be my earliest memory actually.
And I'm not sure if this really counts, but when I was a fetus I flew in a 747, not sure on name of company or destination.

The exact same thing happened to me:lol: My mum recalls it was a Singaporean B747.

I've been on probably between 10-15 planes. Recently I was on Air Canada Airbus A330's to and from Europe (To London, back from Munich).

Bombardier Q-400 turboprops from Porter Airlines to Halifax and back to Toronto, and a bunch of assorted Boeings and Airbuses which I can't remember.

Porter is so great, I always use them for trips to NYC. I really hope they never cut out the self serve drinks and snacks, or stop their stewardesses from wearing little hats pinned to their hair. :)

I've only ever been on 2 flights, both of which were on a Boeing 757 with JMC Air. Knowing that I travelled with JMC just goes to show you how long it's been since I last flew, 9 years to be exact.

Have to add another one to my list:

The almighty Airbus A380! Singapore Airlines, Sydney - Singapore route. Quite possibly the most comfortable aircraft I've flown on :D

My list is quite substantial (especially airlines) so I wont go into details but I have been on almost all the Boeing models and variants at one time and most airbuses also, along with a couple Fokkers a DHC-8 Q300 and some others. The aircraft I wish to go on the most would probably be the Lockheed L1011 and Mcdonnell Douglas DC10/MD-11, I love trijets.

I agree, although I flew on two different Qantas A380's (both within 1 month of service), very smooth, quiet and comfortable, too quiet actually for my taste :P

I've only flown with Ryanair's 737-800's. First of all, I hate Ryanair. And second, I hate the way too cramped 737's.

When I'm flying with my dad, it's in a Cessna 177 RG-II Cardinal. Beautiful little thing! 👍

I hope I can one day travel longer distances and travel with bigger aircraft. A 777 is what I really want to fly on one day.

Hmmm... I'll join in since I'm a bit of an aircraft fanatic as well. :P

McDonnell-Douglas MD-82, MD-87 (SAS), MD-83 (Spainair)
Airbus A320, A321 (Air France)
Fokker 70 (KLM CityHopper)
Boeing 737-600, 737-800 (SAS, Norwegian)
Boeing 747-400 (Air France)
Airbus A340-300 (Air Mauritius)

Yep, that's all I think. The most comfortable to fly in was the A340, and the worst was probably the MD80s, got to sit next to the engines two of the times.

EDIT:
Remembered some more.

Embraer 190, 175.
Avro RJ100, RJ85.
Bombardier CRJ900.

If anyone has flown first class whats it like?

- You get to be the first passengers on the plane. Plenty of overhead space. If you get the bulkhead seats, the attendants kindly give you back your stuff once you've hit 10,000 feet.

- Wider seats, more leg room, slightly softer cushions. Blankets and pillows await you.

- If the flight is long enough, a free meal. And while it's not a four-star dinner, it isn't half bad, and there's quite enough to eat.

- Free drinks: Any kind, and in a glass or ceramic container...none of that plastic stuff. As soon as you get in your seat, the bar's open. Delta even has a bottle of water waiting for you at your seat.

- Flight attendants are much nicer, although sometimes the coach ones can be friendly...still, you're not harassed as much about your personal electronic equipment and your tray tables/seat reclining angle on take off.

Basically, you're not treated like cattle, because you've paid for special treatment and/or you've done this a few dozen times before.

You get to meet a lot of other folks who travel the country, and you invariably share war stories and travel tips. I never complain, let's put it that way!
