If anyone has flown first class whats it like?
- You get to be the first passengers on the plane. Plenty of overhead space. If you get the bulkhead seats, the attendants kindly give you back your stuff once you've hit 10,000 feet.
- Wider seats, more leg room, slightly softer cushions. Blankets and pillows await you.
- If the flight is long enough, a free meal. And while it's not a four-star dinner, it isn't half bad, and there's quite enough to eat.
- Free drinks: Any kind, and in a glass or ceramic container...none of that plastic stuff. As soon as you get in your seat, the bar's open. Delta even has a bottle of water waiting for you at your seat.
- Flight attendants are much nicer, although sometimes the coach ones can be friendly...still, you're not harassed as much about your personal electronic equipment and your tray tables/seat reclining angle on take off.
Basically, you're not treated like cattle, because you've paid for special treatment and/or you've done this a few dozen times before.
You get to meet a lot of other folks who travel the country, and you invariably share war stories and travel tips. I never complain, let's put it that way!
