What all new cars do you want to see in GT7?

This car will work for a generic 90's F1 car. I think it would be appropriate to have it sit alongside the 80's-style F-1500T and hopefully the 00's-style Formula Gran Turismo with a proper V10. I would also like to have a 2021-style Formula Gran Turismo as opposed to the W08 from 2017.
Fun thing about an 90's Fictional F1 car (or any fictional F1 car), you could maybe implement a fun tuning system for them that allows you to put in different engine types that are from around the same era (V8's, V12's, V10's). Maybe even have different front/rear wing styles?

Well that's going to cause a massive ruckus online. We only need the one specification to ensure a fair competition. The only thing that should be interchangeable is the aero package - low downforce for fast tracks and high downforce for the medium to slow tracks. Ideally you'd be able to pick the aero package you want in the tuning options.

Engine size and aero could be options. GTS already have a massive ruckus with the SF19 and Super GT cars. There's even a ruckus with the sole FT1500, when tuning is involved.

Players will choose a set up that the Free Practice pole sitter chooses anyway. At least we should have the option for those that are in leagues, time trial users and just plain driving enjoyment.

whats the purpose of BOP then? Also, none of those things have to actually effect the performance of the car. The differences could be entirely audio/visuals.

edit: A good reason why Sport mode should be completely separate from GT Mode. Just disable tuning for that part of the game, and the problem is solved, maybe even have all cars unlocked for them if they have to. Polyphony would be insane to let that mode burden the rest of GT7 when only 17% of the playerbase in GT Sport have used it.

I wanted to add, why are people afraid of options?
PD screwed up GTS with the BOP and car classes. Hopefully, PD have learned their lesson and listened to and read players' suggestions for the next game.

Front/rear wing is something that is doable via GT Auto if the 97T's customization in GT6 is any indication, but the engine stuff you mentioned requires having engine swaps to be a thing.

Weren't the Polyphony Digital Formula cars based on their various engine models?

Not sure if this counts, but the Toyota/Honda Super Formula cars in GT Sport have slightly different engine sounds based on the engine. It's definitely possible for them to have different PD Formula cars with different engines, and sounds without it being an issue.

Is there a thread called "what returning cars do you want to see in GT7"? Seems unfair only to have the "new cars" one.
There's a cars and tracks predictions thread. Plus, Suggestions.
Well yes but it's the same as the 962 in many ways.
If it's like a 2014 GT86/2016 GT86 and 2016 RC F GT3 Prototype/2017 RC F GT3, it pretty much passes the PD "different" car test.

We've got Ruf in the series since GT2. I'd like to see Alpina make it into the franchise with GT7.

That Supra survey we participate in, had Alpina as one of the choices for brands we are interested in. It's a manufacturer up there with Ruf and AMG. I'm sure many of us were completely surprised to see the E30 M3. From the first tuned Alpina 1500 to today's models, there's a place for these cars in Gran Turismo's history.

I wasn't surprised considering how many people wanted it. Such a glaring omission had to be filled eventually. Now for the E39 M5...

The Porsche 911 GT1-98 would technically be Gr. 2 if it supported late-90s longtail GT1 cars.

More road cars, especially European... and as many Audis, BMWs and Mercs as possible.
New models + some classics like:
Mercedes 190 E 2,5 Evo II
Mercedes W124 AMG Coupe
BMW 840i or 850i E31
BMW M8 E31 prototype
BMW M5 E39
BMW M5 E60
BMW M3 E46
BMW M3 E36
Audi RS2
Audi RS4 B5
Audi RS6 C5
Audi RS6 C6
Audi S8 D2
Audi Sport quattro (road car)
.... and many more ;)

I would like to see more limited edition versions of cars that are already great, but have been upgraded/tuned in a way to better justify their low production numbers IMHO:

I know that some cars are not new, however I usually add them so that people can feel more familiar with the rest of the cars from their categories.

The Porsche 956 has a lot of similarities to the 962C, but since Gran Turismo has had many clone cars (such as the '19 Toyota GR Supra and the '20 Toyota GR Supra), this car may be perfectly acceptable.

The Audi R8 featured here is the one that won Le Mans 2005 and unfortunately has never appeared on a video game. Considering that in the past Gran Turismo had a lot of cars whose only difference was the livery (Peugeot 908, NASCAR cars, Super GT, etc), this car can perfectly be considered different according to PD standards. Also I think that this livery looks cool at night.

I agree with that although I think that late 90's GT1 can be a bit tricky to categorize as some of them where underpowered, while others did better or where on par with most LMPs such as Ferrari 333 SP, BMW V12, and Porsche LMP1/98 in terms of qualifying times or race results.

This car is in Project Cars 2.

More cars/road-going concepts that were almost put into production and could have been, and are considered road-legal, but for many reasons, weren’t.

I would love to see some unique cars that never been in Gran Turismo before and some more Standard cars converted to premium.

1625545734526.png

BMW M4 Turbo DTM '19 (Gr.2)

1625545839783.png

BMW M4 GT3 '22 (Gr.3)

1625545924427.png

Chevrolet Corvette C7R ' 14 (Gr.2)

1625546052366.png

Chevrolet Corvette C8 ' 20 (N500)

1625546238670.png

Gillet Vertigo Race Car '02 (Gr.2) (I think the 2004 version that is already featured in GT6 would use the same model but different livery, Team RaceArt has one in their collection that could use to model a premium model of the car)

1625546602566.png

Chevrolet Corvette C5R '04

1625546847277.png

Spyker C8 Double 12-R '02 (Gr.2) (The only other Spyker in the Gran Turismo Franchise; the Spyker C8 Laviolette '01 is Road Car, so a race car by the company being added into the game would be a neat addition).

1625547250469.png

Dodge Viper GTS-R '00 (Gr.2). This car could be offered in multiple liveries

1625547352046.png

Marcos Mantara LM600 GT2 '95 (Gr.2). The only other car by this manufacturer in the franchise is a small Road Car (Marcos Mini Marcos).

1625547544072.png

Saleen S7-R '00 (Gr.2) (The road variant {Saleen S7 '02} is already in the Gran Turismo franchise and has appeared since Gran Turismo 4)

1625547848299.png

TVR Griffith Concept '19 (N400). I think it's time for Gran Turismo to add this modern TVR at some point.

1625548397600.png

Brabham BT62R '21 (N700). Brabham never had a car in the Gran Turismo Franchise, this would be a welcoming addition)

1625548613596.png

McLaren Senna GTR '20 (Gr.X)

1625548675075.png

McLaren Senna '18 (N800)

1625548759235.png

McLaren P1 '13 (N1000)

1625548994315.png

Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 '21 (Gr.X)

1625549198730.png

Bentley Continental GT3 '18 (Gr.3)

1625549281815.png

Bentley Continental GT '18 (N600). The only Bentley in the Gran Turismo franchise currently is the Bentley Speed 8 '03 which would be classified as a Gr.1 car). Something like a Contiental and it's GT3 Variant would be sweet to see ingame.

1625549740003.png

Bentley Bentayga Speed ' 21 (N600).

I would love to add more but I'll do that on another post.
