What are we expecting from Tokyo Game Show this year?

To be quite honest, I'm also expecting a livery editor announcement. The other announcements can be surprises like at Gamescom, but even better. :)

To tell you the truth, I'm excited with the livery editor, but I try not to think much about it because I feel it's only going to be a very simple selection of decals for each car. But who knows...

In the interest of being upfront, I mirror your sentiments and enjoy quoting.

It's pretty funny at this point -- watching the GT community struggle to find some amount of happiness out of PD graciously giving us, what will mostly likely be, and essentially amounts to, a few decals.

A Livery Editor should be the genre standard.

And gamers should stand up for that. Nothing less.

Yes. We should keep our expectations low. Stripes and pre-determined shapes would be ideal for me. However, knowing Kaz, we should expect something eccentric and warped. lol

It is sad, but PD gets a break because PS consoles have no other competition. It's a shame for us gamers.

What, are you not down with a small helping of gaming's take on Stockholm Syndrome? ;)

For me it would be enough if we had numbers, squares, circels, etc, (and fade versions of them) that we can move around the car and spin them, resize them, etc

Hahahaha someone is eager to let people know he's reading a book other than fiction....

I have on for you:

Seeing as how the marketplace saw people gifting paint chips, I think we'll see paint chip liveries as an easier solution. I hope PD stay true to admitting they watch how users play the game: DRAG RACING! I think they will reveal this in the game. I don't drag race online but, would be nice to join a room as a viewer without taking a spot out of the 16 players.

Unless you actually read them :P

I did read your quotes, and they didn't get less ambiguous the second time I read them either. You are seemingly interpreting these quotes to mean that we should accept second best. I can only speculate this because you made no effort to actually say what your interpretation was, and those quotes, even if simple, do not relate to the topic in a self explanatory manner.

Will it make you feel better if everyone whined in the GT boards instead of being positive? I don't find that fun... :\

I have nothing to complain about, what struggle is being made?

Now can we please get back on topic, and NOT try hard to bring it down the drain?

Here's a translation then, from English to English. Only for you:

"I don't think a full livery editor will be available."

"Maybe."

"We're working on it."

"Soon."

"There might be something."

"Yeah, but I don't really think [Forza] is a simulator."

Hahahahaha that one is killing me! Awesome

Why thankyou :D

Here's a translation then, from English to English. Only for you:
Your interpretations are extremely tenuous. It's quite apparent why no-one else had any idea what you meant by those quotes.
When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everybody will respect you.
I think PD actually believes this to be true (which it isn't).
A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.
Maybe not being intent on arriving might explain why GT5 was delayed for three years.
A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.
And those first steps towards a livery editor and other heavily requested features should have been taken many years ago.
Great acts are made up of small deeds.
This is about managing tasks, something which, as indicated by stagnant development of sounds and AI as well as past game delays, PD isn't particularly good at.
It is better to do one's own duty, however defective it may be, than to follow the duty of another, however well one may perform it. He who does his duty as his own nature reveals it, never sins.

"Yeah, but I don't really think [Forza] is a simulator."
Yes, PD never sins and is holier than thou.

Anyway...

I think PD would want more momentum going into the GT6 release than simply revealing more tracks and cars like they have done. I think the car+track card has already been played, they will have to announce some features (my guess).

I'm pretty sure eran0004 is just poking a bit of fun - I quite like what fell out of it. I know what this site is and why we're all here, but it is kinda funny how seriously we take it sometimes! :dopey:

Also, you're all fired:
...

I expect to see Gran Turismo Concept Movie #5.
Leaving #6 at the end of October, a week or two before release.

...

Then again, you gave me the opportunity to practice my self-deprecation, which is appreciated. (I'm behind on my quota this month; don't want another public flogging, it'd be my third, and I shall be up before the crown come the Day of Scorn!)

In seriousness, either we won't be getting the convenient six trailers after all (would the seventh be a GT7 preview? Will it stop at 5?), or there'll be a two month gap of ... nothing. I doubt that somehow. By the end of October, you can bet the game will be pretty much "done", though.

I know right? I really want this community to be fun and funny, but nooo, we all gotta be serious. :indiff:

It's true GTP community is talking really seriously, i'm talking about the majority, it would be good if discussion would not be such serious, but yeah, you're gonna say that the funny part of GTP is not here but in other threads... Here it's like strong debates in most of threads...

Yeah, guess you're right for GT6, but I looked everywhere and couldn't find any. :( I just hope PD fixes some things to make everything better again. :)

Ahh that's better. 👍 Gotta love humorous folks.

Okayama
Sugo
Sepang
Autopolis
RedBull Ring
Zolder
Pikes Peak
Bathurst (I think it's allready in)
Knockhill
Just to name few of them...

At the Tokyo Game Show, I expect the last of the new tracks to be announced. We already know 6 out of 7 and I believe the one that remains will be Mount Panorama, most likely with day-night cycle and weather effects. More new cars will certainly be announced as well. I, personally, would be most pleased if these new cars were to be primarily new GT race cars (GT3 class) and LMPs, thinking more along the lines of Ferrari 458 GT3, Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Oreca 03-Nissan, Zytek Z11SN-Nissan.

Some screenshots or a trailer containing few new cars & Bathurst. Hopefully Bathurst is the 7th track to be in the disc of GT6.
