What are you Eating/Drinking?

No, you shall not. I was stopped up for two days after that meal, and when the time came I had to bend a coat hanger to pry the sucker out.

No thank you. A regular ol' chicken sandwich will digest just fine.

EDIT: Not only do I think Chick-fil-A offers the best drive-through experience of all time, it actually is the best drive-through in America. I certainly disagree with Mcdonald's second-place finish, though I must say that I've never been to the vast majority of the places on that list. If the gap between #1 and #2 is as huge as it is around here (CFA seems to recruit kind, hot, young girls on purpose, and train them to get guys coming back for more like it was a strip club) then I shudder to think what the last place Brotha's Best has to offer.

Bump

We were going to have smoked chicken, and I was to smoke a meatloaf for tomorrow and then some jalapeños and chilies for my famous avocado/jalapeño spread. But, since SoCal already smells like it's been smoked enough, we opted for oven-roasted chicken and then make some chicken quesadillas from it. So, I went ahead a made my famous spread only to hear the rest of the family wants pizza.

Whatever. King Arthur Supreme on its way.

Avocado-Jalapeño Spread

1 Large Green Bell Pepper
1 Large Anaheim Chile
2 Large Haas Avocados
12 Jalapeños
tsp. Garlic Powder
tsp. Onion Powder
tsp. Paprika
Tbls. Lime, Lemon or Orange Juice
Salt and Fresh Cracked Black Pepper to taste

BBQ, flame-char or oven-roast all chiles and pepper until nicely charred. Put them in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap until they rest for 15 minutes. This makes peeling the skin easier. When peeling, do NOT remove the inner white membranes, but it is OK to remove the seeds attached to them. The membranes are the heat of the chiles, so be careful when removing the seeds. I just leave the seeds in place.

Next, add peeled chiles and pepper and all other ingredients to a food processor and combine until a spreadable paste or mixed to desired consistency.

Store in a fridge for at least one hour before using. Best on sandwiches or quesadillas but can be used for most anything.

Lays Salt and Vinegar potato chip.

On a health kick this afternoon.....

I'm not eating anything because Sarah, at the last minute, decided she's going to dinner with her dad instead of me. This is the fourth day she's screwed me over like that, and I'm not gonna take it like my buddy and his crappy girlfriend. I ripped her a new one.

And I hate Hardees.

And I already had Arby's.

I'm not going to the bar to eat because I'm not 21, and it's lame to sit at the bar by yourself unless you're drinking away your sorrows. So that means no sympathy lovin' from that drunk girl, either.

Any suggestions?

I was expecting something a little more clever from you, Klos. Now I'm even more frustrated!

My buddy is coming down and we're going to eat. He says he's out of cash and wants to go cheap. I says screw cheap; I'll pay for it. He says okay.

Yes kill yourself.

Yes kill yourself.
I'll have to eat first. I'm very very hungry.

O'Charley's. I'm going to have some grilled salmon from O'Charley's.

Fine. Live.

[edit]: Is that a microwaved salmon you are going to eat? Because I may have to retract my statement. You know, the one where I said you'll "live".

HAHAHA I crack myself up.

Grilled, fool. It was delicious. Soft and tender and juicy. Perfectly cooked and served on a plank of cedar wood. Yum. And fires. That's what I ate.

I had a sort of pot sticker soup. It was, and is delicious. It took me all day to stew the veggies.
Ambitious. Pot stickers are like $8 for a ginormous bag at 99 Ranch, you know. :P

I had fried chicken, cornbread, and broccoli. Been craving soul food lately (okay, broccoli isn’t really soul food, but it is for me).

You cook at your age? How dare you possess a skill that I do not.

A diced onion, a ton of baby carrots, some chicken bones from a recent meal (in this case, last night's dinner) and put them in a pot to simmer for five hours. in the last 30 minutes, add the pot stickers. It's absolutely delicious.

Wait, how do you not know how to cook? Our mom has been teaching us how to cook for ages.

Drinking currently Coke Zero. Probably shouldn't be though, since it makes my bowels creak.

I'm not eating anything at the moment, but I can tell you what I'd like to have. That'd be "stuvade makaroner med falukorv".

I got the fire going on over here. Some pork ribs covered with my rub and bacon and some chuck steaks along side. I have corn bread, seasoned rice, and hamburger helper waiting in the oven.

It's about 55 degrees and all I have on is a shirt and shorts. Wooo!

Was going to smoke the turkey again this year, but it was too cold and raining. I already have the start of a cold and I didn't want to increase it.

The turkey was extra juicy, thanks to the longer brining time. Dressing, mashed 'taters, corn, green been casserole, cornbread muffins and my ma's famous cranberry mold. The average Thanksgiving dinner. Very good this year. Too bad for the cold (60) and rainy weather.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Way too damn much turkey with more to follow chased by yet another big honkin' piece of punkin pie.

Oh, and as usual, topped off with a glass of tea. Duh.

Chicken with Chinese barbeque sauce, potato salad, various other dishes, and as a little prank, my grandmother put random chicken organs into the gravy.

Mixing bowl scrapings from a triple batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and egg nog.
