OK, so this is more of a 'What are you not eating' post, but there's isn't a thread for that...

Sadly, my experimental chicken dish last night didn't quite work out - I used a whole Scotch Bonnet (mistake #1), and added lime juice (mistake #2), and ended up with a very hot, very sharp concotion that didn't really do my stomach (or other nearby regions) any favours. I was planning to have it again for dinner tonight, but I can't face it - so it is going to get binned... a great shame because it worked out to be pretty expensive, so it's a bit of a massive waste - oh well, I will know for next time to stick to established recipes and not rely on my own 'inspiration'.

Just saw this in the store today. Their pizzas are awesome, so I thought I'd give their stromboli a try.

The baking instructions were a little odd. Each stromboli comes in a plastic wrapper. You are supposed to leave it in the sealed wrapper and bake it on the oven rack. When it was done baking quite a bit of cheese had run out of the ends, but when I removed it from the plastic wrapper all of the cheese easily came out with the stromboli.

It was pretty good there was plenty of cheese and filling. It was however, a little dry. I wish I had some marinara sauce to dip it in.

There are two strombolis in the package. This was on sale for $7.49. The regular price is $8.99. I would never pay 9 bucks for this, I thought sale price was a bit steep, but I really wanted to try it.

I did exactly the same thing with too much salt last night. :( Ruined my dinner.

Found these on clearance at Walmart (along with cheddar cheese, S'mores and sea salt and caramel  need to try all). The jalepeno is spicier than I was expecting but they are quite tasty.

That looks good, and I would eat it, but what is it? Is that fresh lettuce thrown on top after it is cooked?

I love a good veggie pizza, but I love them topped with anchovies. Which of course makes them not so veggie.

The burgers are fully plant based.

It takes some getting used to but I think thy taste OK once a week. I get them from my girlfriend. She works as a product manager at SoFine. And yes the seem burned, but just not too much.

I had one of these last night, Goodfellas 'Meatball Marinara' pizza*... just £2, so it must be good!

* Disclaimer: pizza shown on box is for guidance only - actual pizza may not look anywhere near as appetising, especially when frozen. 'Meatballs' may appear larger than in real life, and may resemble rabbit droppings. Toppings may require manual redistribution before cooking which may not be physically possible because they are frozen solid to the pizza. The word 'marinara' does not imply anything about the flavour of the pizza.

Coke and Monterey Jack. Not the best combo but it's about all that was in the fridge. I need to go shopping.

Dinner last night

4 eggs, cooked over easy.
Placed eggs on top of 2 hash browns.
7 pieces of bacon.
English muffin with blackberry jam.

I really enjoy breakfast for dinner

I find myself doing breakfast for dinner too. It's easy and filling I must say 👍

I made some nachos tonight. The cheese sauce is the same brand I remember as a kid. Until recently it was only sold in huge cans, then they started selling it in 15 oz cans, but that is still too much for one person. Now they are selling 3.5 oz single servings. Best cheese sauce ever!
