Lunch was a couple of sandwiches:

Fresh, crispy baguette, gouda cheese, smoked turkey ham, mayo, tomato & lettuce.
Simple, but nice.

Barely a week has passed, and look what I just ate!

My (another) sister found a store in Thailand, and she duly bought 6 of these tasty things and brought them home after keeping them in the fridge overnight. My quick verdict:

The upper two on the right were a bit underwhelming, particularly the middle one, whose cream cheese filling was lacking in strength of taste. The upper two on the left tasted fine, but to me were outshone by the ordinary-looking two at the bottom, with the bottom right one’s peanut butter topping giving my tastebuds an remarkable experience. This also seems to confirm my original presumption that the glaze is what made Krispy Kreme’s doughnuts stand out from the pack so much.

And I think I just caught a slice of heaven.

Eating some pizza Chef Boyardee pizza my mom made and drinking a Mountain Dew Voltage.

Been constantly drinking Voltage for years now and i'm still not tired of it! Best Mountain Dew ever!

Drinking water and eating honey wheat Ritz crackers with peanut butter. The honey wheat crackers are heavenly with or without peanut butter. I literally live off of them, been doing so for years now.
Enjoy your diabetes and heart disease. :)
That's a good one. Unless somebody like a doctor for instance, says I need to stop, i'm not worried about it. Though if I ever have to lay off of Mountain Dew's or any caffeinated drinks, it won't be easy because I get caffeine withdrawal headaches when I don't drink them.

Caffeine withdrawal isn't likely to cause prolonged suffering, and those headaches can be managed with your usual remedies--first and foremost of which really should be proper hydration in general, not merely observed to combat headaches.

That said, there are plenty of products that contain caffeine, and a great many of them don't contain high fructose corn syrup. A quick Google of your preferred beverage tells me that one of the ingredients is caffeine itself, which suggests that it, like nearly all caffeinated soft drinks, doesn't contain any ingredients in which caffeine occurs naturally.

Even mainstream beverages that once utilized the kola nut no longer do nor have done so for decades now, as it's much cheaper to simulate the flavor provided in those original recipes and add caffeine than it is to acquire the nut as a commodity. The kola nut was even out of use before "caffeine free" sodas became a thing, which meant consumers were actually paying more for a product that had things left out rather than actively removed.

;)

I didn't think so, I always thought it was temporary. If so, chances are it would take a while for me to get past it given how long and consistent I have been drinking this Mountain Dew. (We're talking YEARS) Heck I get these headaches if I don't drink one at my usual time.

Thank you sharing, i'll keep that in mind. Luckily I already drink plenty of water, though it's not usually when I have these headaches.

As for the rest, you kind of lost me there. :indiff:

4th of July dinner getting ready for the coals.
Big beautiful boneless NY Steaks.
A medley of small colored potatoes with Walla Walla sweet onions, Andes pink salt, pepper and garlic.
Corn on the cob.
Washing that all down with Stolli’s blueberry vodka, blueberry lemonade and muddled fresh blueberries.
Happy 4th to those of us celebrating today. Hope you have all your fingers tomorrow

Easy dinner consisting of de-skewered cold lamb kabob with peppers, mushrooms and onions leftover from yesterday on top of a Greek-ish barley salad leftover from yesterday with a little extra oil and vinegar to compensate for the additional stuff, some of the pear smoked pepper cashews that I contributed to yesterday's gathering and, to wash it all down, one of the Angry Orchard Summer Honeys that I also contributed.

I love easy.
