I genuinely forget sometimes. If I’m not starving hungry I can easily get distracted and then by the time bed time rolls around I’ve complete missed my opportunity to cook anything close to a dinner.

Tried my hand at some homemade tomato soup with some grilled cheese (damn kitchen lighting getting in the way).

I had a nice 16oz. prime rib at Texas Road House for lunch today.

It was made even better by the fact I didn’t pay for it.
Mother took me out for my birthday tonight.

14oz. Strip Steak with a honey bourbon sauce that was phenomenal. Shrimp on the side with a creole sauce. Also phenomenal. Roasted potatoes on the side and a salad to preface all that.

My stepdad actually cooked me the food as he is the chef of the restaurant.

Going over to my mom's house tomorrow for homemade tacos. :)

Got some Japanese food at lunch...

Salmon and Tuna Nigiri and Maki, plus a starter of Japanese sausages.

The girl hurriedly grabbed the starter and put it in a sealed bag, so it was only when I got back to my office that I discovered that she picked the wrong one, and I ended up with 5 piece of fried chicken instead. It's roughly the same in terms of quantity, though it's actually a bit more expensive. Unfortunately it wasn't very good, while the Japanese sausages are very tasty - and somebody is probably going to get them instead of the chicken they ordered.

The sushi, however, was really good. It comes with edamame beans, soy sauce and a particularly potent wasabi, so I can let them off for the starter error.

Made enough lad na gai to have leftovers later.

Pan fried wide rice noodles in a light soy gravy with chicken and broccoli.

Market didn't have Chinese broccoli, so I went American.

So, I've long been a Southern Comfort drinker. They recently started selling the stuff in bottles with these soft zip up covers on them. Last weekend I thought, "I'll get one of those to add to my collection of SoCo memorabilia..."

... the week got away with me ...

A BLT with what seems to have a whole pack of bacon on it, a thin mint milkshake and chocolate covered Oreos.

I’m experiencing the guiding light that’s usually had before death :indiff::scared:
Mmmm! I had the BLT yesterday as well. And today too actually. Didn't feel like seeing those lights so I ate half yesterday and the rest for breakfast today!

I had a coffee malt and only have one of the four dark chocolate peanut butter cups left...

Went to the parents' house for dinner. We ordered takeout from a Greek place. I got a cheeseburger with gyro meat on it.

It was awesome.

Sukiyaki again for Sunday lunch:

Local Thai dish that comprises of green beans and spicy pork. I think I’ll be on the toilet all night. It was slightly spicy.

Sous vide chicken breast. 149 degrees for 2 hours then seared in a pan.

A little weirded out that it's not cooked to the USDA "safe" temperature of 165F but this is an amazing piece of chicken. Massive fan.

Binged a bunch of YouTube videos featuring Uncle Roger (Nigel Ng) mocking the way chefs mangle fried rice, so I whipped up some. With chicken.

Pro Tip: Simmer some garlic in oil, and use day-old rice.

It’s that time of year “SUCKS” gets released.
Recipe seems a little different this time around.
Incredibly boozy for an 8% beer. Drinks like a triple or quad.
I don't know anything about beer other than I drink it and I feel weird.

But I really enjoy reading your descriptions.

Thank you!
I’m a bit of a beer nerd and can’t help but describe each new beer I try.

I’ve tried many beers based on people’s descriptions. Some were straight drain pours, others were fantastic. If I can give you a little better idea of what you might consume the better beer experiences we have.

For example, I love, love, love IPA’s. The more piney taste, aroma, and mouth feel the better. But if you don’t like piney tastes then this beer probably isn’t for you. It helps weed out what you like and dislike.

anyway, long way to say thanks and I’ll continue to post my descriptions of new beers I drink.
