I loved him as Wilfred Mott in Doctor Who.

I’ve seen that one, although it’s the RiffTrax version. Still, Bernard Cribbins was excellent as the policeman.

The Pixies played the Kelvingrove Bandstand near my flat last night... I didn't go, but I did see them in London several years ago. The gig was great, but it was marred somewhat by the fact that it was hard to hear the actual vocals over the nostalgic crooning of the audience. I imagine last night would have been even worse for that, since the venue is much more intimate and the crowd even older than when I saw them.

I went for lunch with a friend today as it is her last day at Glasgow Uni - I asked her if she liked the Pixies... she's never heard of them Amazingly, just as we were about to cross the road to the pizza place we went to for lunch, the same tour bus that I spotted outside the venue last night drove right past us... I doubt it, but it is possible that The Pixies were inside.

I told her that The Pixies were a mainstay of my 'nightclub' years of 1991-1995. She was born in 2001...
