Motherland come back home. DDT is one of the biggest names in so called Russian rock. Leader of band is one of the most notorious dissidents in Soviet Russia. He was in Chechnya when siege of Grozny started(as free reporter) and perfectly explained why war is disgusting mess. Never was my cup of tea, but in that hard time his humanity and love for our bleeding (both mentally and physically) country is inspiring.

“We’ll all you kids out there”

De La Soul - 3 Feet High & Rising has its reissue today. Wax, CD & Digital after a long time out of print due to disputes over some samples used.

We lost Trugoy recently just before they got this done which is a huge shame and big loss for Hip Hop.

So I picked up my new wax pressing today to go along with my CD and OG Wax copy, and now I’m streaming it.

It's De La Soul Day. I'm going to be streaming them all weekend long.

Yeh, really pleased they are going to get some play, especially if we can get younger listeners introduced to their music.

They were excellent when we saw them live in 2017.

@Populuxe you might be interested in this article about the issues with getting the samples cleared.

A friend Huntercomplex just sent me it on FB.

Now on to a un-pigeon-hole-able album. The theory is this is an audio soundscape of the afterlife or at least the time between death and possible reincarnation.

If you enjoy this I can recommend Deru - 1979 too. Similar vibes.

Also Haxen Cloak albums, while being from my home city, his work has been know to emotionally engage emotionally dumb record collectors who shop at my local record shop.
