I had this locked and loaded the day before the 50th anniversary of Gram Parsons' death but it completely slipped my mind to post it on the day.

The Flying Burrito Brothers - Wild Horses

Yes, that's the Stones song, but they were actually second to record it.

Also been on a bit of a Chris Hillman kick since Tuesday.

Manassas - Colorado

The Flying Burrito Brothers also released a gorgeous track titled as above, but it bears no relation beyond the presence of Chris. It was penned by "Brother" Rick Roberts while the other was a Stephen Stills work. No Parsons on this one as he'd been booted from the band prior to recording.

I don't remember the fight all too well. I just remember it feeling otherworldly. Lots of red lightning everywhere.

Apparently, a significant amount of players who beat this boss don't remember the theme at all, including me. Listening to it on its own was one hell of an experience:

It's just too good to not share it.

Looks like your video's been taken down. Is it this one?

After The Fire - One Rule For You. I'm not big into Christian rock but much prefer this mellower synth riff to the one on the single version.

Loaded up a couple of compilations from the great 70s and 80s Irish comedian Dave Allen to watch so here's the theme tune by library music king Alan Hawkshaw.

Mohawks - Studio 69

I try not to post tracks which most people that'd like them are likely to have already listened to several times but I'll make an exception for this near universally popular jazz standard from 1959.

Miles Davis - All Blues

Out today. Gunships 3rd album and so far it’s a banger.

Just on my way into town to pick my wax copy.

Howard Jones - What Is Love?

"I didn't want to write songs about, 'I love you, baby, you've hurt me and I'm sad.' I didn't want to write songs about co-dependency. If I was going to write about love, I wanted to say what do we mean by love? What is it, really? You can't be dependent upon another person for your happiness. So you'd better question this idea of romantic love pretty soon, otherwise you're going to be pretty miserable. So that's really what that song is."

Seems the video maker Daniel Kleinman didn't read the memo but the young lady is very easy on the eye.
