No Time To Die.

Some parts of it were good, there was a few times I was downright bored. Overall a bit bloated and a bum note to end Craig’s brilliant Bond films on.

Just back from that film at the cinema.
I can see why No Time To Die could get divisive opinions.

It's not like every other Bond film that you could just put on for a random Christmas showing because of SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER....

It's certainly unique. Some think it's too long. As a group we all thought it wasn't. There is a LOT which they have to fit in to the movie.

There are some obvious references to non Craig films all throughout. And that's without the easter eggs that got missed...

One thing I will say for sure, see it before you hear about it!!!

If you're in America or somewhere where it's not yet released, avoid the internet, avoid your friends, avoid everything until after you have seen it. I'm not joking!

Oh and I thought it was great on first showing. Very much still a film that needs viewing first at a cinema. Luckily it got that in the end.

Tempted to go back and see how it looks when you know the events beforehand.

No rush though. All the time in the world...

I finally got around to watching The Sopranos in it's entirety just in time for the prequel. Very good show worth it's reputation and while the ending was off it does feel like they ended the series at the right time.

Next up is either Boardwalk Empire or Westworld (leaning towards Westworld).

Watched all of Utopia (2013/2014 TV series), after watching the 2020 remake. Very timely stuff indeed! The remake has nothing on the original, apart from delving into the graphic novel lore deeper which was great. Id give the original 9/10, and the reemake 5/10. And, if you've not seen it already, defo watch the original first as it knocks seven bells of 🤬 out of the remake.

Content Warning!

Also, watched all of Upload on Prime Video, good little series, very funny, and looking forawrd to the second series.

Having read the book, I finally got around to watching Catch-22.

They managed to capture the dark humor, and the chaos without portraying it in massive time jumps like the book. The book achieves some of its chaos by telling bits and pieces of a linear narrative throughout various chapters. Essentially to depict the scattered brain of someone that has experience so much trauma.

However the show manages to capture that essence and tell it linearly. This was very well done, and on top of that, the cinematography and the technical aspects of bomb running are on point.

I watched Full Metal Jacket for the first time yesterday. It is a very good movie. I am not sure Kubrick meant for it to be a dark comedy, but I took most of it as a dark comedy.

I've watched Mr. Arkadin by Orson Welles and A Man Escape by Robert Bresson a few days ago.
