I just finished watching Stander on DVD. It's based on the true story of this South African cop, who started robbing banks in the 80's. Many cool cars in it. I even spotted a Skyline police car!

P.S. I loved the Sideways too!

Well, the Roast was ok, but old after the 2nd d*mn time.
But Pamela does prove the dumb blonde theory.....you had to watch the roast to get that.

Anyways, right now, about 4 hours of Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Rock Star INXS. I love this show. 👍 It's like American Idol with only above average singers. They all look great, some are really talented vocalist!

Tommy Lee goes to college.

I love seeing one of my favorite bands' members on TV.
1st, the Roast of Anderson, and now this.

D*mn, I think I need to check out the University of Nebraska. :D

BMW films... Meh, oh man, I forgot how lopsided they make the performance of cars seem. :dopey:

I can't wait to get to the James brown clip, that one rocks! :D Star is great too.

Balls of steel. that was the show that the prank on Tom Cruise was done for.

Rolex Sports Car Series at Mid-Ohio (I love that right hand turn with the drop!)

Hmmm... Why don't they just call it Pontiac Sports Car Series? :dopey:

I was watching that as well.... Good race...

Saw.

Some things on TV never grab me from my PC and GTPlanet, but this movie is...

This movie?

It's fantastic!

I found "Saw" to be rediculously predictable... Not to mention the terrible acting job by the two main characters...

I don't know what people see in that film...

Primer

An indipendent film that looks at time travel in a different way... It makes you believe it may be possible... This film might be a bit too "heady" for some, but personally, I like thought provoking films...

I liked the Saw, but yes, the acting by two stars were some of the worst I've ever seen. My friend told me that actor who played the doctor was supposed to be a great actor, too.

Primer also had really bad acting, and this one I didn't really like. Concept was very refreshing and it did feel more realistic. My problem with Primer was that some events in the movie that should been exciting were totally flat and boring. It could have used little more energy IMO.

Actually the acting wasn't that bad... Still, I can see what you mean...

It's not supposed to be an action movie... I think people are too used to the over produced Hollywood film style to be able to appreciate the subtlety of more abstract intelectual films... The film was supposed to be from the perspective of two programmers, and thus would never seem exciting... I'll give the film a B-... Good concept, but the story could have been a bit more involved...

Saw, on the other hand, was just purile nonsense... I can't believe how many people tell me how much they loved the film, and how much the ending suprised them... I thought it was incredibly predictable, to the point of giving the audience no credit for their intelligence...

If you want to see a film that will leave you pondering, and questioning your existance, check out Pi, by Darren Aronofsky... Truly a masterpiece...

Very good point. I'm not a huge fan of Hollywood typoe films or anything, but I'm probably affected by them to a certain point. :D To me, acting just wasn't consistent and at times was not believable. I wouldn't rate this film as highly as your "B-", but I do agree it was a quality work.

I am a sucker for that style of movies, so I am definitely biased. I actually didn't like this movie that much at first, but I did appreciate the "different"(perhaps little out of control) plot.

Are you refering to "Pi"?...

The plot is pretty abstract, but very linear... There is a lot of symbolism and projected idealism in the film... It's not a movie that you can just watch without first (or at least, at some point) understanding the ideas behind the message... What's between the lines, if you will.... I know a lot of people that loved the film, but didn't really, truly, understand it... It's something that you can watch a hundred times and still find new things...

Or...

Are you refering to "Saw"?

"Saw" I think I've seen parts of "Pi", but never sat down and watched it. I guess, that will be my next rental. ;)

Out of control plot, in "Saw"?... I didn't see any of that... The plot was akin to swiss cheese... Filled with holes, flat, and tasty on a sandwich...

BTW, Where in Oregon are you?... I live about 4 hours from Portland...

Now I'm watching...

Father Ted - Season 2
