Ripping on YSSMAN in the movies forum.
Looking forward to it...
...All while doing my American Foreign Policy exam, albeit, on a small break while here on GTP.

That is mental. I've done a fair amount of 3D in AutoCad but never to that extent!Ok....so you shocked me by saying that you have been cableless for a longtime. Now its my turn to shock you. That model was done with bare bones autocad! No Revit or anyother program to help things along. They did it the old fashion way! Our consultant had 16 people working on this project at one point.
talking of colleges as Loon mentioned, I got offered a place at the national college for motorsport the other day
Yes...that is THE Solaris.

We don't usually mess with 3D stuff but it was required by the owner that all the subs submit 3D renderings.
You'd rather not know what i'm doing right now.
What is your problem? I was only implying something, and in fact, I was disposing of my GT4 copy, because it died.
WOW!!
Was it all solid modelling? Can AutoCAD handle a solprof of that to make 2D profiles? How did you get it from 3D to 2D?
Yes...you can see in the pic the mind bending wire frame in the backround and I think my computer pulled a muscle doing the render of that section.
Each piece of concrete in the project is modeled as a single unit. All I have to do to make it 2D is pick it off the drawing and view it from the right axis to make it look 2D. I will not actually "transform" any thing in to a 2D flat drawing. Our laborers will have no idea that the paper they are looking at has a 3rd dimension.
It looks like column grid lines, but those are then used for dimensioning where the structural post are located, so correct, to a point.Good God! So.. many.. dimension.. lines! Is that what all of the orange lines are?
Cool! So it's just a matter of plotting individual pieces of concrete in all the right elevations?
My feeble mind just exploded.

Everyone seems to use solidworks and autocad... In our uni we only use ProEngineer Wildfire... apparently Airbus use it!
PILLAGE AND PLUNDER!Now I'm just wondering what to do for the next few days before I leave now that everybody has left for break.
I'm so glad we don't dimension any of our devices. I despise dimension lines.
Have fun!
Waiting to hear back from a college.
Thanks, Robin. It's just standard pine wood (cheaper), but I took my time (and tricks) to 'age it' properly.Nice one Beerz What type of wood is it?
