What car would you want to make Racing Mod. on?

I would LOVE to see a livery editor added to GT5. I really think it is the major missing piece that's missing to making this game pronominal. I don't see how games like Midnight Club can do this but PD can't work it into this game. đź‘Žđź‘Ž There is no excuse in my opinion to continue leaving this feature out when almost all other racing games allow soooooo much visual customization. I don't want to see engine swaps added though. For as much fun as it would be to drop the 2jzgte into an ae86, I think it would be horrible for the overall game's feel and especially the online racing.

A livery editor would be pretty cool, I love the one in Forza 3 and if they could incorporate something like that into the next GT5 update or even GT6 i'd be glad to use it. I think they should put engine swaps into the game but have some heavy restrictions as to what engine you can swap into what car, for instance an engine swap that is commonly used IRL such as Honda motor swaps that are done all the time.

For me...

Yes, that was sarcasm.

Being able to take ANY car, upgrade it with engine parts, engine swaps, body kits, race interiors, aero parts, wheels, paint, vinyls, and liveries, would only make GT5 better.

It would make GT most certainly more like Forza which brings me to the question Why not play Forza instead? They perfected the customization and GT wouldn't be half as good even if PD chose to implement these features. It's a big difference between building a game around these features or adding them later As a patch.

Anyway, I would very much like to See a themed RM DLC: FIA GTs, BTCC, and so on. Just random RMs wouldn't Cut it for me.

i say all premiums should have RM variants

but when you RM a car it doesn't do any of that
say what?...when i RM a car in GT5 it most certainly adds a livery to it...

and like I said earlier I just think the use of race modifications would be way overused and what not.
who cares?...its a racing game...what is the problem with using RACE cars...if anything its more realistic..

Second I hate livery editors because nothing would be special anymore. (Had to put in my opinion)
ive got to be perfectly honest...that is one of the weakest reasons to not have a livery editor that i have EVER heard...

The Enzo would never be RM and its unrealistic.. Its like RM'ing a Veyron.. Its too expensive..

you mean like the MC-12 race cars like...

and...

Maserati_MC12_Corsa.jpg

and...

Vitaphone_MC12_GT1.jpg

with the MC-12 being based on the Enzo chassis, those are in many ways Enzo RM cars in real life...

no it would not be as good as Forza in their first try...but that doesn't mean they should forget it...i still think it should be incorporated....you've got to start somewhere...

Crazed_Coupe you've got a rather strange fear of RM's being overused....

On topic, gimme the MP4-12C GT3 and I'd be happy :D

I see...best refresh your memory of the AUP (thats Acceptable Use Policy) too then...

You will post all messages in English.
You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

Just informing you of forum policy is all.....

Back on topic, I'd love a RM pack with RM versions of the cars currently competing in the GT1, GT2/E and GT3 series' around the world along with liveries (plus a generic one or two for each you can change all the colours on).

So is the M3. There's lots of RM'ed versions of it ;)

True and false. There is one race version of the M3, and that's the GTR Race car based on the E46. The CSL is "just" a lightweight version of the M3 (best car ever BTW), and the GTR is the homologation road car of the GTR race car. And the 320i Touring car is a RM'd 320i, not an M3.

My list would be:

M3 Coupé '07 (I want an M3 GT2!!!!)
Z4M
F430 Scuderia
SLS AMG
Mini Cooper S
DB9

FXX IS DIFFERENT BRA MORE LIKE THE P4/5 by Pininfarina

Of course it's different, but it is basically a RM'ed version of the Enzo. Same platform, modified engine (bigger displacement), different gearbox, different brakes, different aerodynamics...

The P4/5 is just a one off build for a millionaire, but also based on the Enzo.

I dont play Forza because I dont an Xbox. But I play Shift2 for that reason. FIA GT3 and 1 cars, and being able to rm all the cars, and customize with liveries...or make your own.

I agree that GT5 wouldnt do so good "patching" it in. But its something that I am amazed was left out.

Oh...and all cars should be able to be rm'd imo.

I think just to stop PD wasting time making RM'd Prii and other hunks of crap they would be better off concentrating on RM'ing sportscars and only one of each model (only premiums) to avoid RM'ing all 5000000000000000x versions of the Skylines and Supras....

This goes back to quantity vs quality. I remember from release to today people all saying they would rather have 300 premium cars that could upgraded and visual customizations than 1000+ mix of standard and premiums. I still agree. A good cockpit view on all cars would make me play it again.
