Or it's really for your parents but you will be driving it, or think you will be. And I wouldn't be too happy with an FD as a first car, the apex seals break around 50K miles, that one must have a rebuild. Insurence is going to cost way too much, and get into an acident and you're in debt.

But good luck anyway! :) lol. And if you need work on it bring it over here, my dad's an RX-7 specialist, and has been working on then for over 20 yrs.
I have to pay 1/2. And i just kight one day drive it over to missori when i'm 18 or something

Ah, so you would understand my pain...hey, did this thing have the same horrendous 3 speed auto with the bad torque converter? Mine did...

See, I had a 91, and I can't complain about after the Skyhawk... :P

What, already? Must be a fun car to drive... :smilewink

Yes to the 3-speed...ugh.

Yeah...I'm not sure what the issue is with the clutch. I've got a service appointment Monday.

Ruf, I donno, I don't think so as some of my frends have motorized scooters or mini bikes. But they probably use them illegally...

Yup, that's the tranny that put me off auto-trannies for the rest of my days... ;)

Well, I hope the service app't goes OK for ya (read: they find it's Subaru's fault, not yours :D ).

Lemme guess...950 is the engine's displacement in cubic centiliters? :D Sounds like the Tercel, though...just drive it flat out all the time, it makes no difference to efficiency or longevity (since the motor is so mildly tuned).

The 323 is a 4 speed luckily for me, and flooring it constently would be funny but the car is loud and I don't want to get it taken from me(it's not really mine...). And I have floored it and can say that it's fast enough to keep floored...

I think Alt would agree that the "3-speed" is not the bad part. Not compared to the crap torque converters that would stop unlocking after a while. The trannies were not especially long-lived, either. If you think the current J-cars are junk, hoo-boy...live with an old one for about a year. :yuck:

Yeah, it was funny...that was what gave out first. That car had 171,000 miles on it, and I was driving up a hill one day. The RPMs went up, and the MPH went down as the tranny slowly gave out.
