Well, I tried and failed to tame the Caterham for the Open Series A class races: It's relatively stable at Mugello and Homestead, but the undulations and uneven tarmac of VIR really upset the car.
I went with the Ford.Finished the Australian classics series in my Falcon Coupe - had a good little battle with a HQ Monaro at Bathurst where I clearly had the speed on it down the straights but it was fairly quick down the hill. And again at Laguna Seca where I finally got the sort of balance I wanted, being able to tip into corners with a bit of mild oversteer to get the nose into the Apex, then powering out of the exit just enough to straighten the car up. Was especially useful turning into the second last downhill corner and the first of the uphill left-handers.
Now which yobbo mobile to choose for the Ute series?
I'm tempted by the HSV mainly because of the much more sophisticated chassis and more power - why did you choose the Ford? More tuning headroom?I went with the Ford.
Would you believe I like its styling better? But it's a good overall ride.I'm tempted by the HSV mainly because of the much more sophisticated chassis and more power - why did you choose the Ford? More tuning headroom?
Its certainly a less fussy and overwrought design.Would you believe I like its styling better? But it's a good overall ride.
You cut that a bit fine! I normally focus on Open Tour first and just do the minimum on the Featured Tour to unlock the 10k/25k bonuses, then come back to the Featured Tour after completing the Open Tour.Finished last month's Open Class tour.
