What did you do in FM23 today?

Took a Ford Cobra R SVT 1990-something (I think it's 1995) up to level 50 in the B-class Open tour.

This car was a lot smoother snaking through the turns then I would've expected from a car with a pony on its front grille. I think the tuning setup I used may have done a lot to defang its more slithery tendencies.

Any road up, it held onto the corners with a constrictor-like grip and I think that's enough reptile puns for now.

Finished Open C and B. Tried to run A with the Lotus GT430 but the Camaro safety car was just too strong on the straights and I came in 2nd at Kyalami and Laguna Seca and won Hockenheim. So now I have to waste time this afternoon to go back and run it again. Probably will try the Cadillac Black Wing this time.

Re-ran that A Open race again this time with the Cadillac Black Wing and won comfortably. It's amazing the difference displacement made.

Finished the rest of the open series. Used my C8.R GT3 car for Hakone instead of any of the on sale Porsches.

But now to the bad part. This rewards Turbo Porsche, you call this a reward? I knew Maple Valley was going to be trouble with this thing and it was. I used 15 minutes of the added practice time trying to get a handle on this thing and I just couldn't do it. As for the main race this was the longest 5 lap race I can ever remember. It took me nearly 45 minutes to finish the thing. I lost count of how many times I had to rewind. It just couldn't hang with the older GT3 RS with their aero. I finished a distant 3rd.

But because I haven't had enough punishment yet I ran it in two free play races just to make sure it wasn't just a Maple Valley problem....and it wasn't. I ran a 10 lap at Sebring and finished 14.5 seconds back in 3rd. Then I ran Nurburgring GP and this is what happened. Both of these races were on Level 5 not 6 even though the times look like I was on 6.

So I think this car goes into the digital dust bin along with the Koenigsegg One.

Currently running through my version of the IMSA WeatherTech Championship. Had to switch some tracks (Homestead for Long Beach, Sunset Peninsula for Detroit and Mid-Ohio for MoSport).

I sit down at my desk at work, looking to enjoy my lunch and browse the forum, only to be greeted with this dreadful paragraph.

I still have a few classes left before this race, but at least now I can prepare for the madness. lol
