What did you do in GT7 today?

I managed to destroy my driver rating by doing the gr1 daily race at Circuit de la Sarthe and got enough track limits penalties (which are easy to get). So now I went from an almost A to a beginner B rating with a C SR rating. Ugh

Tidied the garage by culling certain multiples to five each. Got back into my Gr.4(GT4) custom races setting up one hour events like the real GT4 European series.

2 x Spa 1 hours.

First one in the 787B, where I got the most amount and heaviest rain I've ever had in that race.

Second was with the LM55, where the weather was the complete opposite. Only a decent amount of rain in the last 10 minutes that required me to put on IM.

Bought the Chiron to finish that menu. Got another Mustang engine. (Have not got a single newer engine in months. Always get ones that were in the game during the glitch).

After that went out and bought every car in Brand Central that was under 100k as I work towards filling the collection.

Tweaking the XJ-13 set up for WTC700-LeMans.
Anyone else see room for improvement?

On the Plus account, after finding the M3 GT3 too slow for Sardegna, I managed to make the 4C Gr.3 work on a 1-stop strategy in 27:20, mostly because Beauvois pitted a third time on lap 14. The no-cash 4-star marathon Wheel of Despair gave me a second GT-R GT500 engine. Too bad the no-contact rule at Tokyo is still in effect.

On the GTP account, I put the stock RM tires back on the 2008 Honda NSX GT500 and lapped everybody except 2nd despite a crash on lap 8 that cost me 12 seconds, The Wheel of Despair wasn't impressed, giving me a full-custom ECU for the 2008 Nissan Fairlady Z off a 3-star ticket. I temporarily gave up on saving for the 7-figure Hagerty's cars and bought enough of the cars currently available eligible for engine swaps to fully tune them with both normal and known S-parts, and with normal and wide bodies. The bad news is, thanks to the expensive December update adding the Ferrari F40, 1988 Lamborghini Countach and 1981 Porsche 911 to the engine swap list, I need around 16,000,000 Cr. to complete just that, and I now have just over 4,000,000 Cr.

Threw the Hellcat engine into the old ass Jeep and did the Special Stage Route X race. Managed to make it up to 2nd by keeping it pegged on the limiter in 2nd with brief shots of NOS over and over. 3rd would drop the revs too much. The Jeep is so awful aerodynamically it eats up all the 952HP the tuned Hellcat engine makes once you get deep into triple digit speeds lol.

All I really play is Lemans since its an easy grind race... got tired of using the same old 88 supra thats been great but also boring...been testing out a few cars thanks to praianos tunes which are phenomenal to say the least...played 3 times today and won...tried the r32 which was good but not my favorite... then tried the supra 97 which was really fast but the handle was decent at best... I enjoyed driving that car a lot... and last but not least drove the r34 which was my favorite... not as fast as the supra 97 but close to it... the handle on that car was impeccable... long story short now I have a choice of 4 cars to use on Lemans instead of the same old 88 supra... Im a definitely try to tune a few more cars tomorrow... also I got a 6 star ticket and won 500k which felt amazing lol

I tried out the TVR expecting to be disapponited like in other versions of the series. Turns out I actually like it. Not much to do with a NA FR Euro car yet, but it's good fun for the low paying races.

Golded a couple of outstanding missions. All that’s left now is one cone challenge and the stupid drifting.

A few more attempts at the S10 licence, even turned on a load of assists, but the gold (and platinum trophy) still eludes me.

Sold almost every car I had... From around 200 down to 12

Smashed the weekly race again... Managed to complete a couple Menus with engine swap rewards... Snagged a NSX engine, 4 Rotor, and a NismoGTR... Stuffed the NSX engine into the 92'.. did the typical 4 rotor rx-7 swap and put the Nismo engine in the 180 ( let the kids choose between the Z and the 180)

The daily run or two for that 550k on Tokyo Expressway 600 with the GTR swapped 370.

Bought the 3 Cafe Bugattis and got a 458 engine. I then ran LeMans with a freshly tuned A220. I also ran the new Alfa there. Maestro Praiano created another masterpiece. One of my top 5 cars, for sure. I then ran the Alfa in the WTC 700 at RBR. I enjoyed it as much as a custom race.

Got 5k from the wheel.

I didn't do much today other then having to sell and discard all my C8s cause I messed them up. :banghead:

The 4 star ticket gave me a level 5 weight reduction for the ford GT 17 so I bought that car.

On the Plus account, I detuned the M3 GT for Sarthe by knocking the ECU down to 90% and adding the full-custom race transmission (left untouched). Needless to say, it dominated, even though fuel lasts only 3 laps, and then only if one is mindful of fuel economy. The 3-star Wheel of Despair (6th of the last 12 from doing the marathon) insulted as usual, giving the low-showing 10,000 Cr. (for the third time). I guess I should be thankful it wasn't 5,000 Cr. again, like the other three 3-stars.

On the GTP account, after proving that the Suzuki VGT on SM tires (597.60 PP) can't hack it at Tokyo, at least if I want to keep the strict no-body-contact CRB, I took Old Reliable (a tuned Focus RS) to Sarthe for the cash. The 3-star Wheel of Despair gave not the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr., but a full-custom suspension for the 2019 Corvette.

I did Sardgena to get my ticket. Then I took out the new cars. I felt the C8 in stock form felt "heavy" so to speak. That said I was still able to get it around Laguna Seca ( this is my test track) at a good pace. I ran the C7 just to see the difference. The C8 was quicker but the C7 felt "lighter". Then ran the Alfa it was fun not heavy like the C8 but the rear did slide on me in T1 in Laguna Seca. I then went back and modded the C8 and it was night and day. My one issue I still have the C8 is I don't like the gearing I can probably fix but I don't know if I want to take the time to do it. Then I took the Ferrari to Lemans no chicane. I was going down the Mulsanne straight going 230 mph and I start slowing down. I think used up all of the juice, which was dissappointing because it is a blast to drive. Then I took out my favorite car Mr2 to Laguna Seca just to see how it would fare against the new cars. Mind you this is a fully tuned at 667 ppm and it was quuicker around Laguna Seca than the higher ppm cars but I do feel that Laguna Seca is more about handling and acceleration than raw power.

Started a brand new account so I can learn my new wheel setup better. Swapped from controller user of 30+ years to a wheel a few days ago. Realized I was getting super frustrated trying to drive the cars on my main with the wheel as well as I could with controller and decided to start a new account from the beginning.

So far it's pretty fun! I'm taking my time, learning the tools I have now, and really focusing on the License Tests and repeating the low level cafe races for practice.

In a month or two I'll swap back to my main and see whether or not I've made the progress I'm looking for

Since I can't restart from scratch like previous games, culled my garage down 20 cars, plus the four DLC cars I can't delete.
Might delete everything if the 917K arrives. Really waiting for, hopefully, the 190E. I need to create some period correct DTM grids. We're almost there.

you can if you create a new profile on your machine and use that. that's what I did

You don't have to use the same car over and over again. There are so many options.
Any road car above 640-650 PP, gives you an easy win. The closer to 700 PP, the easier the win. AMG, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, etc. No need for tuning, only the Intermediate Tyres set. Adjust the Fuel map accordingly (usually 5 or 6), and go!

IRL I snapped a "scapes" pic of a Skyline GTR (R32) in the parking lot of a local CVS. Not sure what year it was. Steering wheel was still on the right side. One of the most rare cars (for here) I've seen outside of a museum.

On the GTP account, I really struggled with the Corvette Gr.3 at Sardegna, but I got the win, as well as the now-usual lowest-possible 5,000 Cr. from the now-usual 3-star Wheel of Despair.

On the Plus account, I grabbed Exeter's (@shaunm80) tune for the Escudo and took it to Sardegna. I had to short-shift the first stint to make the fuel last 8 laps, but I believe the 24:42 time was the fastest I ever did the race. I wish that car would come back to Hagerty's. The 6-star parts Wheel of Despair gave me another Bore Up S for the 2003 Audi TT. I can't even get away from despair on special tickets.

Bought the C2 Corvette and took it Tsukuba.
Bought the DBR9 and took it to Kyoto.
Bought the DB11 and took it to Deep Forest.
Drove the McLaren F1 GTR Longtail on Le Mans.

Ran the Alfa at the WTC 700 at RBR again. Great fun. Got the lead after the last pit stop, won by 11secs.

Got a BMW i3 from the wheel and promptly sold it.

Detuned and drove my second DBR9 on the Deep Forest 700PP race to see how it performed, *It did well and did a full no stop on FM6.

Will probably do Le Mans in it soon seeing as it does well on fuel even though it's not the fastest car.

Also sold my MP4-4 for money as I planned on doing a 80s F1 grid but got burnt out and would rather just do 90s GT/BPR races instead.
