Wait, a 40 minute daily race?
More like 43 mins... 12 laps of Le Sarthe with at least one stop.

I think I overdid it a bit yesterday playing GT7... I topped 300 miles for only the third time, but this morning my right knee is pretty sore - I guess they don't call it the 'Sore Knee' Playstation for nothing.

I'm still having fun (and a break from time trials) taking the cars I haven't driven around Monza for the Sunday Cup race..... each getting 11 kM and (usually) Cr. 45,000 per race. If struggling to win I will tweak with a part or two to make it competitive.

Very relaxing and great to drive some of the cars I wouldn't normally use.

Been grinding Tokyo with the original F&F cars lately. If you want to try them they start here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ps-tips-and-cars.408979/page-73#post-14053986

Made about 5.5M credits doing that, then got the free Porsche 917 from the e-sports event. Saved the livery, sold the car for ~10M credits. Bought 12 cars with my money including the Chiron, Valkyrie, McLaren P1, some VGT cars and a few Gr.3 road cars.

Two " things " contributed to minimize the play of the game yesterday and unfortunately the days that follow for unknown period.
Excessive heat ( plus smoke and particles in the air from the fires even if they are far away ) is the one .
The air condition has stop working 😵‍💫 with all that means when you have to deal with temperature above 40 .

Did one race today , got a 4* ticket , bought stingray that i skip last time and thats all .
The scenario of just half hour a day will be repeatable for at least 5-6 days God will first.
That's all from me and hope for " better " days in every aspect.
Although am enjoying every day visiting my friends here and their " achievements " .

Stay safe , stay cool and enjoy your day , everyday.

Indeed Smoothy..

I was in that exact spot 2 years ago.. I know the feel, and the smell, and the smoke/ashes hit'n the ride, and smellin' that nasty odor first thing in the morning when you wake up & when you go to bed at night.. We had it comin' up here (Oregon) from Cali', and it wasn't a bit pleasant to say the least.. First and foremost, get that AC in order, 2, keep your house sealed the best you can, 3, RACE!.. no better escape, 4, have some nice COLD adult beverages right next to you, 5, like you said, enjoy your day!.. take care bra'..

PS: not even get into Kilauea in '18.. but I will share this much.. my backyard (Pahoa Hawai'i, Nanawale, ) lookin' to the East @ 2am, middle of the night sky.. one of the most terrifying sights one could imagine, was literally like looking at hell, the sight, sound, smell.. you had to have been there.. good thing you weren't.. THAT was the '18 Kilauea eruption.. sleep well my friend..

On the GTP account, I took possession of a Porsche 917K for slowly doing the Porsche time trial, then took the rented Porsche 959 for a few slow laps in the Sardegna dirt (1:23.0). I made the mistake of trying said 917K at Sardegna - it requires a very delicate touch on both the steering wheel and the throttle to keep from spinning out, even after maxing the downforce, and it takes FM 3 to make it 5 laps on fuel. It can turn a 1:42-flat lap though, and since Fraga was fast but not fuel efficient, my eventual 26:57 was good for the win.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the usual lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. With that, I bought the next two fake Gr.3 cars - the Subaru WRX and Suzuki VGT. That brought me to over 400 unique cars (including the DLC-specific models and Dior Mangusta, which means the car collection shows only 397).

On the Plus account, I sent the newer Lexus RC F GT3 to Sardegna. It won't break 1:43 without drafting help, but it will do 6 laps on fuel and 15 on tires. That, and Fraga being human, allowed me to win with a time of 26:55.

The second engine ticket of the month pushed out the 1992 Porsche 911 Carrera engine. At least it wasn't a complete dud.

I took the Mark IV to LeMans and then I took the Audi DTM to Sardegna. Went to the LCD and saw the Sauber and the group C Jag. I started to buy them because I want a 2nd one for both of them but I made up my mind to not buy anything so I can get to 100 million credits. I can't get there as fast our resident billionaire but I will get there eventually just have to resist the temptation to buy stuff. Got 100k from a 3* ticket so that's 2 days in a row getting 100k. Both times I saw the bar in the upper left hand corner I knew I had it.

1. Despite many laps at Lake Maggiore TT with the RSR, wasn't able to improve my PB to join the "0:51" club :( Still in gold but at 1.500 sec from the WR... :yuck:
#KeepPushing

2. Bought some cars (Sauber C9, Corvette Stingray racer, SRT Tomahawk VGT, GTS and GT1, Ford GT Race car '18). Now, I own all the Asian and all the American cars 👍

3. ⭐⭐⭐ : Cr. 10.000 :boggled:

Almost back to 100M and I plan on buying.

3 more 787b to have 4
3 more Sauber Mercedes C9 to continue my full grid of group c cars.
Only missing 3 more Nissan R92CP and the Porsche.

Also for some reason I have to buy the GR10 cause it says I don't own number 8 but in fact I do own #7 and #8.
I also have to buy that X2019 car that's 3M cause again it says I don't own it when I have the 25th anniversary version.

I've been investing some time in circuit experiences and have around 20 tracks completed at this time.
Some tracks, like Tokyo Expressway, can be quite challenging... I must say I had to do around 200km to put together a clean lap that will get me gold... It was probably as challenging as the final S-license test for me :)
Here's the run...

On the Plus account, I toyed with the field with the VW GTI Roadster VGT (after buying the full set of rain tires) at a sopping-wet Sarthe. Despite making 4...that's right...4 pit stops, I lapped the field, eventually setting a 4:18.5 time on the unnecessary lap 7. That's not to say the VGT is without faults - it requires FM 6 to make it 3 laps on fuel, it doesn't have a ton of top-end power, and it is slow through the slow corners.

Tonight's Wheel of Despair was of the 4-star variety. The all-cash wheel gave the 2nd-low-showing/lowest-legal 30,000 Cr.

On the GTP account, I washed the Ford Focus Gr.B in the rain at Sarthe. The EIGHTH 3-star Wheel of Despair of 18 on this account, and 11th of 36 between the two accounts, this month puked up a Mazda RX-8, which I hung onto for tuning purposes. I picked up the VW Beetle Gr.3 and the VW VGT Gr.3, leaving just the semi-real Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept and the real GT3 cars left to get in that class.

Played 5 Daily race A's and 4 DRB's. Did several scapes, and grinded credits anywhere possible. However I'm not finished.

Finally.. some ME/free time!

So, off to my fav.. TM/HCP (5 laps per).. had the itch to stretch the garage out a bit, soooo..

1). Lambo Veneno: 9:23/CRB, 2nd place was -35 , coincidentally, a Veneno.. LoL

2). Porsche 918 Spyder: 9:30/CRB, 2nd place was -23.5 (Vulcan)

3). Ferrari Tributo: 9:53/no CRB, 2nd place was -19 (Veneno)

4). RUF CTR3: 9:50/no CRB, 2nd place -17 (Veneno)

Where the heck is that Enzo ????.. sleepin' ????.. zzzzzz..
Chianti' in the fuel-tank.. smh.. meanwhile..

5). Ferrari FXX: 9:41/CRB, 2nd place -23 (Veneno)

6). The Late Night Bonus Race: yeah, "THE Enzo".. you knew I couldn't sleep on this..

6a). MY Enzo: 9:31/no CRB (smh.. minor scuff lap 3, not car involved, hit a corner so lightly.. ridiculous!)
2nd place -29 (Veneno, again)

Overall speed & handling: I definetly give it to my fellas in Modena Italy.. but for cornering and braking, Stuttgart/Deutschland (Germany).. such a toss-up.. great night of opening things up from da' garage.. quality>quantity sleep well gentlemen..

I set up a Custom Race at Spa - one make Lamborghini Huracan GT3s in an attempt to recreate the Super Trofeo race at the Spa 24h, and I started with the intention of doing 6-7 laps (enough for the Daily Marathon*), but I was enjoying it and wanted to figure out the angles a bit more, so I ended up completing the entire race... 90 mins, and I won by 1.5s :scared:

I set the race to Pro difficulty and with fuel usage at ~2x, so I had to stop twice to refuel. I used RH/RS/RH but will probably set tyre wear a bit higher as RS were still OK after 12 laps... the race lasted 37 laps IIRC.

A few observations:

1) The Huracan GT3 seems a lot easier to drive using the controller. I used it for the Spa WTC800 a few days ago with the wheel and I was struggling. With the controller, I hardly put a foot wrong for the entire 90 minutes.

2) Rubber-banding - well, no surprises here as this is an issue in all Custom Races, but boy it was reaching almost absurd levels in this race. It does, however, keep you on your toes, but the purist in me can't help but feel that the race is rigged to let you win from the outset.

I would love it if the entire field had unique liveries, but alas it uses the livery (or liveries) of the cars you have, i.e. I have two Huracans and it used the liveries I have on those two, which was kind of weird. I don't fancy collecting 20 Huracans just to achieve a realistic field, however.

* 160 miles, got a 3* ticket and 10,000 Cr.

1. Banked the Cr. 2.000.000 from BB Raceway TT 🥇

2. Bought the absolute beauty Ferrari 288 GTO 😍

3. Got a modest bronze on my first and unique lap at Spa with the Red Bull Junior. Grinding here very oftenly + CE in gold helpt me a lot to learn this wonderful track. :)

Made my first tentative steps back to on-line racing following a break from the game.
I did consider the daily's but really race b on that track, just not my scene. So I headed to the lobby. Tbh there was some good driving, but so much punting/side swiping/general aggression. All the things that made me quit before.
I will carry on, I do love the game, but please when is the Manu Series? I found the driving standards way higher in these, and at least there is a track to practice on prior to the race without the jerks.
Keep it clean.

Took a few minutes before work to collect my 2mil from the BB TT and bought the Sauber C9. Very slowly making my way through the legendary cars.

If my work doesn't go completely insane later today, with the wife set to be away later today, I might have an hour or so to try and put in some more laps in the Lago TT chasing down half a second and do maybe 1 grind at Sardegna. We shall see, otherwise won't be until the weekend.

Last night was interesting. I took my swapped DMC out. I haven't used it in awhile because it was very hard to use. So I turned it up TC to 5 and it back every stable. I went to LeMans and I could only get 2.5 laps which I was fine with because the car is so fast it doesn't matter. So I start the race and I pit after lap 2 the rain is starting to come down so I switch to wets. Unfortunately there wasn't enough water on the track for the wet tires and unfortunately for me the DMC eats tires. So by the end of lap 3 my tires are gone so I pit and switch back to hards. The rain has stopped so it was sensible. BUT while I'm on lap 4 the tsunami comes halfway down the Mulsanne so I told my son they don't want me to win so I quit and took my 10k from a 4* ticket. I started playing Horizon Chase Turbo and then NHL 23. After my son went to bed I decided to play GT again this time I chose one of my Alpine 220s. On the first lap I got to 4th place and I got spun by the G70. Dropped 9th got back to 8th and spun out around the Porsche curve after a touch up with a WRX . Make it back 6th and the same WRX that spun me, I ran into the back of him and spun again. I was thinking the game still has it in for me. But I decided to keep going and eventually I was able to get back into 1st and hold on to win comfortably.

I did a lap of the second Porsche time trial, featuring the 959 at Sardegna - Windmills. I only completed a single lap since I'm mostly there for the free cars with special liveries. Speaking of exactly that, I collected my first 917 since I did the first Porsche time trial, so that's very cool - I had thought that maybe they'd be giving us a skin, but no, they gave me a free car that's typically worth over 18m credits.

I also hadn't put in any time for the online time trial featuring Gr.3 cars at one of the smaller layouts of Maggiore, so I did some very fast laps with the 911 RSR. It didn't feel like long before I got into gold range, either - though I'm currently less than 0:00.010 off from the threshold. So I do feel confident I could get a better time if I have to - especially since my optimal time at one point was something like 0:51.xxx.

I then collected a four-star ticket, and it netted me a nitrous kit for the Renault R.S.01 GT3 - a part that I promptly discarded. I definitely don't need a nitro kit for any car, even when it's free. I don't care if it was basically a free 100k credits, I will never install a nitro kit.

EDIT: I also bought my first Mercedes-AMG 300 SEL, and my second Ferrari F40, as I like having two of each car that can be engine swapped. This is because I like my plan to modify one with its stock engine, and a second with its swapped engine - and the former could come especially in handy for Sport Mode events where you can tune the car you bring, but you're not permitted to use an engine swap. A good example being an online time trial that featured one of the NSX Type Rs at the Nurburgring. You could tune it, but because the swapped engine from the NSX Concept-GT was turbocharged by default, you only could tune the stock engine. I think this was similar to a Daily Race featuring the BMW M3 E46, where you also could tune it, but the Z4 GT3 engine was prohibited since it's a turbocharged engine.

EDIT2: I also installed various body parts and made a relatively basic racing livery for my second F40, if only to make it more visually distinctive from the other F40 that I have and plan to tune with its stock engine. For one thing, I'm going to leave the F40 with its stock engine in Rosso Corsa, whereas this one that I'm saving for an engine swap was repainted in Rosso Scuderia. I would've repainted it in Giallo Modena, but I feel like it would've potentially clashed with the red seats. I also installed some OZ Racing center lock wheels on it, and added some stickers from brands relevant to the car itself such as Sabelt, my personal racing suit which is from Puma, my personal life such as Citizen - as I own an Eco-Drive Satellite Wave - and the official tire supplier, Michelin. Unfortunately, there's not many other parts available for the F40, as there's no widebody option, a single front splitter, a single side skirt option, a single alternate rear wing, and the option to put in a rear diffuser.
