I can't do how to get a gold cup in all sectors.
I thought that at first. The rally at windmills was the hardest.

A couple I did yesterday I beat my previous best by 5+ seconds! I think when I did them before I was a newbie and used auto gears, this time I did the ones I needed on manual and it was a lot easier

First time this has ever happened that I’ve noticed. But as there was a Silver version of the ‘81 911 Turbo in the UCD I decided to buy that so I can finally engines swap the toothpaste coloured one I have. I like to keep original cars in their country colours and then the engine swapped version are different (as they’re more flamboyant!)

Low and behold there was another 911 Turbo in there of the same colour!

Talking about the 911 (930) if you are into the low mileage cars, you can get a 0 mileage copy from the My First Gran Turismo in said silver shade.

So today i wanted to try my track experience (and nerves 😀) on mighty “green hell” and after getting Gold in first sector i was pretty much exhausted to do another one. It took too many tries and i was dissapointed because Nordschleife is one of the tracks i race, drive, cruise most in every racing game i ever played. Still i wanted just for fun to try 1 lap challenge to see how bad i’m doing overall just to find out i was only 1 second behind the Gold. So i did the second lap and ended up with Gold 😀 and it’s funny because after that first sector i thought i will have to spend like half a year on that track just to get that Gold but never imagined it would be over after 20-25 mins 😅

Tried new TT and i am 0,5 from gold.
Raced the last race for weekly challenges with Toyota GTone and i won!!
Raced a custom race with 4WD cars at Spa. Inspired from TT in Eiger!
From winnings i got the usual 10k from a 4 star ticket and from completed weekly challenge i got a SF23

I ran a very different race last night. It rained from the first lap at WTC 700 and the rain level is 3/3. After 2 pit stops and 8 spins, I won the race with +10 sec. But 2 cars stubbornly did not give up on SS tires. They raced around the small map like ballerinas.

Did some Daily A for the daily login bonus. Lap 5, running in 9th, pack ahead of a little over a second ahead but there's a Brazilian around half a second behind me, so I hope they're going to be smart and want to work together to catch the pack ahead.

Nope.

Coming in to the first banked corner they decide to use slip stream to try to pass me on the outside... Putting themself in to the wall.

Real smart move, buddy. A1 quality move.

The Drag 180SX is back…

Today, I shredded the field in the CC+ race at Route X with the GT-R swapped 180SX. This run was with an accidental wall hit as I came out of the first bend. A little too hot.

Can get to 280 mph with slipstream. It is no Bugatti RC F though.

I came back to the game after some crazy months (family, job...). I returned to my usual 6am to 7am racing before daughters wake up. This past 2-3 weeks I...

... Start the PS4, update system. Start GT7, update game.

Receive some rewards, namely the Mercedes AMG from the AMG TT/contest and also some money because I bronzed it (I didn't even remember).

Then I picked up the game at Menu 32 I think. It was the last Porsche race at the Nordschleife. I got a bit mad because it's not easy to overtake 15 cars at max speed in that track so I decided to dial down the difficulty level from hard to normal (I play with all aids turned off) and try to push a little less and instead try to get CRB in all races. I think it was a good change of pace. I did OK on all subsequent menus sometimes missing CRB for stupid or unknown reasons but whatever. If I got a bit burnt out I would do some CE, license or missions which I try to gold too. This brings me to Menu 39, the last one. It was pretty miserable. I was locked from the rest of the game so I couldn't do some other things to clear my mind and even if all races went well I ended up at the Nordschleife (in 1st position) again after 5 days of beign locked out of the rest of the game and after 2 days racing it I decided to not push anymore, I did a slow clean race ending 10th (0 points) which made me lose the Champ but enough for the trophy and unlocking the Weekly Challenges (and the rest of the game!!!)...

... Then I was able to have fun again.

I purchased a Copen '02, put a silly Japanese McDonalds livery on it and had a blast on the Kei Cars Menu. Then I went straight to the last Menu because I wanted to have fun on a Jimny. Got the Sierra one and won all the races on the menu 100% stock. All of these were clean races.

After that I did some purchases for the Extra Menus: A lot of Toyotas: GT and GR86, Crown, Prius, Alphard... Some Nissans too. I asked the people in the game about them, read all the descriptions. I love this game is so nerdy and I hope they keep this trademark for future iterations.

Then finally I went to the Weekly challenge and I copy/paste from that thread:

Euro 400: I was not very interested in this one and with only 2 days left I decided to race a stock F430. It was total overkill. 1st place CRB.

Pickup Truck Race: I raced a stock Raptor to 2nd place CRB. I was really fun. I loaded a cool Dakar '25 livery that some japanese gentlemen did, tunned it a bit and raced again to 1st place CRB.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N One-make: Did anyone race a 100% stock one on this? I did to dead last place. My lap times were about 1:02 and I think I was driving OK? It was rather hilarious. I then loaded a Time Attack livery that some other japanese gentlemen did and did some tunning (I think only race tyres?). Got an easy 1st place CRB with lap times of about 0:53.

Glad to be having fun again in the game!

And to all that people creating all those cool liveries I download and put on my cars without much effort - You are the true heroes of this story. I love you all.

Messed around with my 1973 911 Carrera RS

A little history. Back in 1973, normal people got to choose from one of three models of 911, the base "T", the faster "E" and the top of the line road car, the "S". For most people the "S" was impractical, since it had a very narrow torque band and was a pig in traffic. The sweet spot was the "E", being a good balance between the entry-level "T" and the intractable "S".

An aside. As I recall it, the "S" went so far as to have a plug of sodium in each exhaust valve to assist with heat transfer. It melted and moved up and down carrying heat from the hot end to the base of the valve stem. Insane stuff for the time. But I digress.

Well over 50% of 1973 911s sold were the "E" model.

The RS was insanely expensive and was the choice for serious racers only.

It really ticks me off that "the real driving simulator" places such an emphasis on the extreme models such as the RS (and in the Corvette world, the ZR-1). I had previous detuned the Corvette C6 ZR-1 to Grand Sport level.

Today, I detuned the 911 RS to approximate the 911E, and it's a joy to drive. In 1973 I dreamed of a 911E, and subscribed to Christophorus, the Porsche magazine. Today I finally drive it!
