So yeah.

What changes that are visible in the GT6 demo do you like best? I absolutely love the bodyroll/suspension model. The cars finally feel like they are actually cars! đź‘Ť
The menus are also pretty sleek. They look pretty good.

Much sharper visuals, I wonder if they've managed to get closer to 1080p native.

Much better shadows no jagged edges on licences plates and interiors.

Improved reflections on bodywork although their still not perfect.

Better lighting the sun peaks though the trees on autumn courses

Body roll on the cars

That's all I can think of for the minute :)

I haven´t done any straight comparisons to GT 5 but I was stricken by how ugly it was. But then I thought The last of Us was a bit ugly too I have been away from the PS 3 for to long lol

Huuuge frame rate issues. Better with no cockpitview or no bonnet view but still hardly drivable. Will boot up GT 5 then I will compare rFactor 2s 370z and recently released Silverstone. I have had huge stutter issues with that track on rFactor 2 so will see how that comparison go. beta vs beta so it´s fair I suppose lol

The layout and structure of the whole thing is fantastic, with Lucas walking you through. Magnificent touch.

The rest of it I could take it or leave it.

If you want your games to be sharp turn off antialiasing in PS3 menu. The FXAA makes the game a bit blurry, but it's more realistic this way because the jaggies are there.

PS3 resolution is very low, you can see by the jaggy edges. The image imo cannot be very sharp and at the same time have no jaggies.

Watching my flashed headlights on the replays looks very nice, much nicer than GT5, from memory :)

Smoke is cleaner than GT5, but not as dense, and not as realistic looking :(

There is a jet trail in the sky on one track, I think Grand Valley

A few people have complained of frame rate loss, however I have yet to experience it.
The first thing I noticed besides the obvious body roll and physics was how PD had touched up the Autumn Ring, the most noticeable being the trees. Although they still appear to be 2D sprites, they are much more detailed and look a lot better than in GT5.
Also, the sounds have not changed, yet they appear to have better mixing and seem to have more underlying sound to them.

AA in the ps3 menu? I presume you mean the (Normal, Flicker Reduction and Sharper settings) they only work for sub HD resolutions. The only way to increase AA is to set the res to 720p which will soften the image on a 1080p tele forcing the tv to upscale and lose sharpness but will help against jaggies.

You still get jaggies no matter what res you game at so it's not an indication that the ps3 running at sub hd levels. I game on a 50" Pioneer Kuro and I definitely see that the visuals are sharper and clearer at 1080p. Unlocking the R35 and selecting the cockpit view you can see the improvements from GT5.

I have massive Frame loss especially from inside the car view and when there is even a little tire smoke .I have slim PS3 and with no problem with any other game..

the map is shocking, no sense of depth with it to me, id rather it kept gt5's birds eye view one. but otherwise so far i found that:
Autumn ring mini's braking points are still the same,
Traction control really seems to do stuff all,

This a million times, I do this on all of my games, even if my TV is capable of full HD, Forza 4 for example looks beautiful in 720p, almost no jaggies at all.

Still one test to unlock yet. I think it'll be a surprise of some sort, no other reason to lock it if it's just another test on the GT-R at Silverstone like the first two.
I really hope so.

Even more awesome would be Deltawing on Willowsprings, or even a track we haven't seen yet.

Would running 720p help with performance as well by any chance? It´s really hard to evaluate physics at 15 fps... Will have to try it I am just afraid it will introduce some input lag on my monitor with it having to do the scaling to 1080p

I did a comparison with the 370z in rFactor 2 and GT 6 was utterly destroyed. But I suppose the rFactor 2 may be a more optimized racing version so it may not be all that fair. I also run 85 fps on a better looking version of Silverstone lol.

But the sound and suspension modelling and how the brakes operate feel so much better.

In GT 6 if I run without ABS it appear to have ridiculous rear ward brake balance. It´s like pulling the handbrake to stand on the brakes. With ABS 1 you can abuse the brakes all you want it will hardly upset the balance of the car just introduce some understeer.

There is more suspension modelling which make it feel a bit more like Forza. This is only a good thing in this regard but again I would have liked it to do more then compare :(.
Hopefully they will release a better demo later on. This is really not enough for me to buy even though I already got a PS 3.

Demo is 1GB in size, we've only driven on four tracks so far with three cars. I think there is definitely room for another car and track in there.

4? Autumn Ring, Grand Valley, Silverstone, and? What did I miss?

At the moment I am only able to watch videos of it but it looks to me like the car reacts much better to understeer. Once you slow down a bit it looks to react more realistically than still sliding off the track like GT5.

What I want to know is, is the body roll really THAT bad in the Leaf in real life? Seems really exaggturated

I think we might get the GT-R GT3 car at Silverstone. It made an appearance in most of the GTA promotional content, and is of course the car that the winner will spend his or her first season in! That'd make sense! :)
