What do you do to learn Nuerburgring?

I have to try the milk float at the Ring!

Anyway, a good way to learn it is to either drive like you have a death wish, or drive slow so you can learn the lines.

Driving like you have a deathwish is not gonna work.

Driving fast yes, but keeping control of your vehicle and a general racing line are of far mor importance.
Also driving a slow car to learn the racingline ??? why ?
Fast cars have way different racinglines on the ring.
For example when driving say a Lotus motorsport Elise at section
Bergwerk, Kesselchem, Klostertal (the long curved section right before karussell) you actually take this as a series of corners.
When driving a Group C car like the Toyota 88C-V this section is just 3 very long very fast corners which you move through at speeds up to 340 KM/H.

My advice take your time with the car of your liking.
lots of good articles are available on the web
like this one http://www.bremo.nl/pdf/nordschleife.pdf
(Thank you Scaff for hooking me up with this)
the lap is done with a BMW M3 so braking, acceleration and gears are useless
(Unless your actually driving one :P)
but read the text and find out more about the racingline.

Also settings are a very important part of conquering the ring.
Suspension is always a personal thing but i suggest softer springs, dampers, stabilisers and lowered camber F 1.0 R 0.4 .

also ASM really messes up your steering ie control over the car.....put it out
most real life cars don,t have ASM ....well atleast old and racingcars don,t

I use no driving aids, and I find either driving really fast, or driving really slow works quite well.

Different Strokes, I'm insane, so I try to drive on the absolute limit if I'm time trialing. If I'm in an endurance race, (which in the Rings case, could equate to three laps.) I drive a lot more consistantly.

It's hard as hell to explain your driving style to someone, maybe I'll post an ARMAX replay and you guys can analyze it.
