They'll change the daily races into a permanent choice of Tsukaba Honda Fit, Suzuka GR.3 and Fuji GR.2, before turning it off altogether a year later.
Also to note, there will be cross platform gameplay between ps4 and ps5. Could it be so far out of the question to have gt7 released on ps5 with a Sport mode infused into the game, and the current ps4 gtsport capable of continued gameplay against and along side one another. Just a thought.Hmm, you know, updating Sport directly into GT7 isn't entirely out of the question. I believe Kaz even hinted at it in an interview from last year, IIRC. 'Cause I've seen some PS4 games change their names and icons on the dashboard via updates before (Destiny 2 being one example).
I mean, the cars and tracks are already there in Sport and they can easily add more. The GT League can be reshuffled into a proper GT mode, etc etc. Really, all that's needed is proper tuning and GT Auto. That's pretty much it, IMO.
Sure. Sony would rather have 7 as an entirely separate release (and it's the likeliest scenario, especially with the PS5), but honestly, let's not pretend that Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition doesn't exist.
Buuuut yeah, I agree. It's too early to be thinking about this.
I just hope they continue with new tracks, maybe some more japanese super gt/formula, maybe a new american (I can wait till gt7 for laguna seca) and of course Euro or international.
A fantasy 5000bhp GrX car and a fantasy track with jumps.
GT Sport will probably also work on the PS5 with some patching.
I would think that if a certain expensive world track hasn’t made its way into the game by GT7 release, Sony could roll the cost of that track into GT7 and give it as a parting gift to Sport owners for on/offline play.
They shut down the servers of GT5P, GT5, and GT6 shortly after a new title came out. The later one was very recent and also had micro-transactions for cars. I'm surprised you don't remember. What track record are you referring to specifically?

It's relevant because the topic of the thread was about what I think would be PDI's "send off". I thought that was already established. But I guess not.I remember servers being shut down for previous games, but I don't remember micro transactions being a thing before GTS. There were definitely paid car packs for GT5, but that's not the same. But how is any of this relevant though? A game doesn't expire because online servers are shut down. GTS will only expire if the game doesn't allow local saving before all servers are switched off. People still have their GT6 save files intact after all, which is why I wasn't sure what track record you were talking about.

You already answered it for me and acknowledged the point though. You said that unless PDI adds local saves you won't be able to play GTS once its servers go offline. It's the same way I feel about it. Not sure why you insist on running around in circles on this manner when it's settled.Your first post said that “people won’t be able to play anymore” when GTS servers shut down. I questioned that point and then you brought up a track record about previous games having their servers shut down.
The thing is, people can still play GT6 despite its servers being no more. So I ask again, what is your point when saying stuff like “expiration date”?

It is not guaranteed. Look at GT5. When it loads it spends ages looking for a server that isn't there and then gives you an error code. It doesn't fill me with confidence.Answer for yourself. I questioned your point.
Because you brought up PD's track record of shutting down online servers, which came across as a counterargument to my point that PD might patch in local saving to ensure that GTS won't expire. But I guess there's nothing more to say now that you suddenly see the same possible outcome.
We all know it has to be Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps!!
