So if Japanese cars are rice, what are american and european cars called? and indonesia and china grow rice dont they? so their the same? Hey I could make a list of these. hehe.

Well, for one, the US isnt the biggest exporter of rice either (its the biggest in Wheat Export, enough is grown in Illinois, Iowa, and the other midwestern states to feed the world with bread). Its more of a stereo type. When I think Japanese, I think of people eating rice. When I think of the US, I usually think of Beef, or a nice big, juicey, T-bone stake, grilled over an open flame with onions, green peppers, cayenne pepper, garlic, A-1 stake sause...mmmmmmm......errr, and when I think of German cars, I think Saur Kraut, on a hotdog, flame broiled and a slight smokey taste, served with a nice slab of double chocolate fudge cake...yum, or when I think of Austrailian cars, I think of a Blooming Onion (because of Outback steakhouse), deep fried, served with tangy Honey mustard sause, all hot and delicous, Yum Yum Yum, or when I think of Italian cars, I think of Spaghetti (sp), with big Italian meatballs, in a rich tomato sause with green peppers, onions, garlic, basil, mmmmmm, or when I think of french cars, I think of Escargo, AKA snails, raw, slimey, and really bad.......yuk...

No, I said, like I have said a million times before, that rice is the definition of someone who makes their car look fast, and then tries to act like its fast and intimidate actually fast cars. But if they just want to look "good" and not intimidate anyone, Im alright with it. Do you comprende?...
comprende what? i did a long time ago. dude i know what your trying to saying, the definition of it and all that, im just saying i dont like the word rice. you know the word itself, that i dont think its the best word to use, not the definition of it. im not trying to challenge you with my definition or anything, and im not disagreeing with you. comprende for the third time!? if u dont get it this time, i give up.

Well, your entitled to your opinion, just as I am. I think it is the best word to use. IMO, a word isnt really racist if the intent you put into it isnt. Calling an overdone car, Rice, wouldnt offend me any more than if a Brit called me a Yank, its just a stereotypical name that is given to it. Comprende?..
i did a long long way long time ago, yes you have ur opinions, and yes i have mine. i know the word isnt racist and all that stuff about what it means, i know that, but its still the word rice that associates with japanese people when you think of cars and rice even though it doesnt mean anything like that. but you have your opinions i have mine.

I have gotton what you meant before you even joined GTP, read a few pages back. I have always said that Rice is a car that tries to be fast and really isnt (or something along those lines)...

Well, the only cases that I know of people getting offended by the word, is because they took it too seriously.

fp hit it on the nail. rice is when someone kits out their car too look fast when it isn't and THEN tries to intimidate fast cars. if they just kit it out to look nice, but know it's rubbish then its not rice.
