Finished Fallout 4 including all DLC.
That engine surely cant handle all that it has to offer and seriously crashes alot.
"Oh, you made 3000 bullets with contraptions, I guess this is too much, so try again; crash."
"Oh, you have 35 settlers here and 35 settlers there, now I dont know how many ressources both of them have."

Well, whatever, it was fun except for this, and please dont tease little Miss Cvrie too much.

Next again is Returnal, finding those last pieces of information scattered throughout the biomes.

Still Stardewing, I've just gotten to my first winter. I still don't really know how I feel about it, it doesn't really feel like a game, it's weird. That's not to say it's bad, I just don't really know where all the stuff I'm doing (fishing, mining and buying tool upgrades) is taking me so I just keep going.

I do feel like I need to build a shed full of fish smokers though. And maybe another for bait machines (whatever they're called). Also what the hell Marnie, I want to buy some chickens

Just tried again deus ex mankind divided, prey, fallout 4, they were running at an unplayable low fps a year ago on ps5, now all run reasonably well.
Must have been a ps5 update to fix this at some point, glad for that.
I still have a lot to do in those games too.

I like these sim systemic type games, letting you try play as you figure ways to do things.

Been on bioshock too, dishonored 2,..
I just got deathloop from Arkane studio, looks cool, gonna get dishonored 1 ps4 remastered complete ed. on sale at 6 bucks on pstore.

And maybe the mooncrash dlc for prey.
Also wishlisted system shock 1 remake, waiting for a reasonable price. Looks like a well made remake by nightdive studio dev i think is their name.

Since I recently got the Xbox version of Star Wars Battlefront II, I've been going back to the PS2 version some. Been a long time since I sat down and played the game again, so I felt it was necessary to remind myself of what this version of the game I grew up playing was like. That way I can better appreciate the Xbox version I just got, which will undoubtedly look a lot better on my Series X whenever I decide to play it. Someday in the distant future, I am going to play the PC version a bunch as well.

Going back to the PS2 version again, much like my desire to play the original Spyro games again, is also something I've been meaning to do for a VERY long time now and I think now it's time to finally commit to it.

Still playing Crime Boss: Rockay City. Still not bored after all this time. :)
I started the single player. I'm enjoying it. I'm on normal difficulty and it seems easy enough so far. I feel the investigation meter is going to be a bigger issue than me messing up and dying. 😊

I’ve been buying up some of my childhoold favorites since they’ve been on sale on steam.

Halo Master Chief collection, the entire Command & Conquer series and Axis & Allies. Now I’m thinking of getting the Metal Gear collection.

Spoke too soon. I got surprised by a certain friendly golf game. Ran out of ammo, Picked up a few AR-15s from enemies but panicked and died. Seemed worth it though. Not soon after I started my 2nd run I was just given an epic team member with a tricked AR-15 and silenced pistol.

@NLxAROSA

As someone who has played the game a while do you have any tips or tricks I should now when playing? I've already worked out that I don't have to waste soldiers when defending territories near the beginning of a run. TD with his LMG is enough to win. I imagine that will change and defending territories will become more difficult further on requiring soldier support.

Failure is expected at low level because you dont have the fancy boss/entourage perks yet. Even on failure you still collect boss XP. With those in mind, and the roguelite nature of the game, don't dwell too long on a single run if things don't go your way. Collect XP, pick perk cards / magazines and go at it again.

Which perk cards? Nasara cards usually have to do with team and soldiers, Casey with economy, Gloves with investigation and Touchdown/Baker have their own stuff.
Which magazines: For SP focus on team member and weapon unlocks.

Magazine unlocks and perk cards are permanent across runs, the rest is not. So at the end of the run, buy any available assets you can (use loan if needed) to boost that boss level :)

Turf war tricks: if you capture a turf and it isolates another turf, you get 2-for-1. You can even do a 3-for-1 if you plan it (though rare).

Oh, and with the Steam release, all DLC is FREE on ALL platforms right now. Until July 11th. And the base game is like 15 bucks.

Thanks. Appreciate the insight. That's a good idea about using the loan if you know the run is coming to an end to buy office items. Yeah I always pick the weapon mag unlocks. I need to unlock my first silenced weapon. Hopefully won't be too long. I did unlock a few team members. One of the better ones being Cracker - Decked out AR and silenced Baretta. Shame he's so expensive 😂

Yeah I recieved the DLC automatically when I bought and installed the game. I think I may have just started the Dragons gold heist before I got bumrushed at the golf course by the police haha. 😂

Have you tried much Multilayer and if so how is it? Are people friendly for the most part? Understanding with new players?

If you unlocked better weapons/characters like blue or purple ones, they usually become available once you gain more notoriety (=number of turfs). And while you dont have any stealth weapons unlocked yet, check the characters for hire for any with stealth weapons. Note that to play stealth you dont need all stealth characters, only the one you play. Unlockable characters that are stealth-oriented: Runaway, Vamp, Tulip and Mozart.

More turfs also means better rewards. I usually start in the 25-30k range for a small job, but late game I end up with 300k+ Baker can be used twice a day, so use him wisely. And get some upgrade cards that boost rewards (Gloves).

I have 470 hours in this game and 99% SP, no idea how good MP is. :P

Feel free to hit me up in Steam chat with questions too, or check the games Discord. Community is pretty decent.

Thanks so much! I appreciate your replies 👍 Its funny how straight away you can kind of sense if its going to be a good run or not. I had a run where I took over the majority of the city only to get to confident with Baker and that was it. The next one was over within 3-4 days  Also I only just noticed I can tag guards and enemies with scroll wheel. That makes stealth a tad bit easier.

Its strange though. I still seem quite bad at keeping stealth and I'm quite experienced with Stealth games Ghost Recon, MGS, Farcry games Etc. A little something always seems to go wrong and escalates into full blown firefights. Maybe I should just not worry that much with stealth until I unlock some better perks and stealth orientated weapons/characters. I have unlocked runaway, I'll have to give her the one silenced pistol I have collected so far and give her a go 👍

Edit - I think I was mistaken into how the DLCs were integrated into the Single Player. I thought they would be added to the regular Roguelite option and pop up randomly as hiests. It seems though they are more like longer stories rather than singular heists and to play the DLC they have to be selected seperately. Is that correct? @NLxAROSA

They are both integrated and standalone. And regarding stealth: I'm more of a 'loud' person too. :)

And the story in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is 100% done. Very recommended if you are a fan of the films. On the production side, 5 stars, on the main story side, 3.5 stars, on the gameplay 4 stars: Busting an RDA base whether by stealth, raw firepower, strafing runs with your Ikran, or a combination of all the foregoing never gets old, but the hunting/gathering/crafting/cooking are not really essential, and like many Ubisoft open world games, you can be flooded with side quests.
And IMO getting your Ikran is one of the best side quests not only of this game, but of all time!

Decided to put Stardew Valley on pause for a minute (we'll see if I go back to it I guess) to dip into some other games that were either on my list or that I'd added for free and forgotten about, which are:
  1. Classic Marathon: good but I think I want to try Aleph One instead because I don't think the latter makes you use the awkward original sort-of windowed view.
  2. Doronko Wanko: runs poorly, seems like a fun concept executed boringly.
  3. Plasma: an abandoned early access engineering sandbox thing with controls I couldn't be bothered to configure and poor performance.
  4. Helium Rain: an Elite-like, also with controls I couldn't be bothered with.
  5. Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate: this is great and I like it a lot!
  6. Toodee and Topdee: nice idea but maybe played a little too straight? I like puzzle games that have hidden depth and this doesn't seem to.
  7. Forgetful Dictator: excellent, a fun way to learn some geography (country names, capital cities, flags and trivia) and I fully intend to use it to that end, I've already learned a bit about Eastern Europe and Asia from it... I'm ashamed to say that until yesterday I thought Bangladesh was a city in India. Not anymore! It's also the second game on my list of things to let my son play, the first is Kerbal Space Program.
  8. Liberated: I'm one "issue" in and it seems fine. It's like 1984/V for Vendetta/China's social credit system meets Mark of the Ninja except you're playing as one of the NPCs and there's no ninja.
I've installed Roadwarden too, I have no idea what that is and I assume I got it in a Humble Choice bundle at some point.

First ever time playing Halo, bought the Master Chief Collection for the Steam Deck and started with the first game of course.

It's a little dated of course but I can see why this was such a big deal back when it released, gameplay holds up very well even to this day, coming to the end of the first first and can't wait to play the others, plenty of games in this collection to keep me busy for a while.

Playing a lot of random PSVR2 games. I'm convinced that even a basic game can be a fun experience just because it's in VR.

For example Jurassic World Aftermath I have on the Switch but didn't care for it and deleted it, but in VR it's fantastic. Kinda reminds me Alien Isolation but in the Jurassic World... uh world.

Since I was a kid I've always liked geography and learning about Countries, Flags and Capitals. I've enjoyed Seterra and Geoguessr in the past. After your recommendation I searched Steam and it's free! I love it! The apposing "Dictator" is amusing and ads some thing else to the game. Even though I have what I would describe as at most an average intelligence I do know my stuff with geography so it was nothing more than a massage of the ego for my playtime. Still, It is a well made game and is a good sharpener even for advanced players. The added hardcore and differing modes are great. The upside-down mode was especially interesting and challenging.

This would be a great tool to use in the classroom or like you say yourself, To play along with your own children. 👍

Played this week:
  • Gran turismo 7
  • Bus Simulator PS5
  • F1 23
  • Farming Sim. 22
------------------
  • God Of War Rag. Over
  • Dredge is Over
---------------------------

Games that will never be deleted from PS5:

No Man Sky
RDR2

Cyberpunk 2077 - Bought Phantom Liberty at launch bet never played it as I had just finish a playthrough and was rather burnt out. Started a new playthrough so I can experience all the new changes since I played and so I can play it. I did start PL on my main char that is at the end of the game but it was a wierd feeling of the city being empty and just dogtown with gigs and jobs. So I wanted a new playthrough so I can complete PL at the prime time of the playthrough (about halfway through Act 2)

- Crime Boss Rockay City
The Devs have turned the fortunes of this game tremendously. When it was released it was ridiculed and was in a pretty bad way but they seem to have Done a good job turning it around. It's like a more accessible Payday with decent bots and a good single player mode that has great replayability. All the released DLC so far was made free for early purchasers on Steam too!

- Farcry 4 (FC5 & ND)
Played these on playstation but always wanted to play on PC. Once I've finished FC4 I'll be on to FC5 and New Dawn.

Starfield - Haven't gotten far in my playthrough, Had it ages and it didn't appeal to me at first. It is starting to win me over now though.

EAFC 23 - Manager mode, Most recent is with Wrexham.

Games I'm planning on starting but haven't got around to -
-Selaco
-Mullet Mad Jack
-Fallen Aces

I'm in a rut, can't find anything I want to play! Since my last I've tried:
  1. Roadwarden, which seems good but I'm just not in the mood for all that reading, plus it doesn't work all that well on the Deck; the on-screen keyboard covers the text entry field and the game sometimes asks you what you want to do so that's pretty awkward.
  2. The Looker, didn't work
  3. Poly Bridge 2, meh, I just don't really care
  4. Project Warlock, not my kind of thing, even for a "boomer shooter" it feels like it lacks polish or something. There's just something off about it.
Maybe I'll go back to R4 or Stardew Valley, but I want to play something new (to me) that grabs me. I've got some lists but don't know where to start.

How about Hitman World of Assassination trilogy ?

I'm really into boomer shooters and stuff at the moment, Looking forward to starting Selaco and Mullet Mad Jack. I've had PW for a while but haven't started it yet. My favourite of the type I've played recently is Fallen Aces. Great artstyle and its so much fun!

I played Disruptor for the longest, but I finally beat this game on Regular difficulty today. Disruptor is a PlayStation 1 first-person shooter released in 1996 in case you never heard of it. I sort of casually played through it on emulator (DuckStation), and I cleared the first six missions before finally dying in the seventh mission. Playing on Hard has more enemies around at once but also a few extra items to keep things fair. Disruptor isn't on most peoples' all-time great first-person shooters lists, but it has been a title that has been good to let time fly with.

How about Hitman World of Assassination trilogy ?
I've played the first two to death (maybe pun intended), haven't got the third because Io's consumer hostility became a little too hard to ignore, which is a shame because I'm sure it's an amazing game. It'd need to be much cheaper than it is for me to buy it though.

Selaco is great, I played the demo some months ago, amazing that it's built on a modded Doom engine. Mullet Mad Jack also looks great, I almost bought it during the Steam sale just gone. Not heard of Fallen Aces though, will have a look! Your mention of Selaco has (somehow) reminded me that I still haven't given Prey a fair shake, maybe that's what I try next?

I'm determined to finally get as far as F1 23 and 24. I'll only ever allow myself to compete in a season if I've run the previous one, I think as I've got older I've finally embraced my neurodiversity. Till now my most recent completed F1 season was 2020, which I've done once with Racing Point and once with Williams. So starting my summer holidays I've ploughed through 2021 in the woeful Haas scoring like two points, now I'm a third of the way into 2022 also with Haas but much stronger results.

My aim was that once I'd completed the 2022 season I could finally forget F1 22 ever existed and get up to date. Except personally I'm enjoying 22 much more than 21, which ultimately I found buggy and unrewarding (could be partly the car though!). I don't actually think F1 22 is all that bad. I was on for third place at Imola before getting into a clash with Russell in the closing stages, where he DRS'd me and then neither of us gave an inch into the first chicane. I was gutted but it felt kinda satisfying, like a clash that actually might have happened in real life in that situation.

Just finished downloading Driver (PS1) on my laptop, will play it using an emulator. This game was soo much fun when it came out, the storyline and missions were ahead of its time. I remember the driving test in the parking lot and I didn’t know what slalom meant as a kid. Pure nostalgia.
