I hate it when my grandmother has to put her opinion out there on everything during a movie, TV show, or documentary. I'll talk to her about them, but it just ruins everything when you have to talk to her and watch the program at the same time. I don't know whats happening half the time. Makes me feel like Towelie.

So, I suspect you'll be starting at a call centre for 2 dollars an hour now? They're jobs that can't be done in our country because the government wants to tell us how much money per hour is "fair".

Yeah really, I imagine you would have trouble finding someone who WANTS to work at a call center and is unable to find a job doing it.

When people say "There's no jobs," what they're really saying is "There's no jobs I'm willing to do." Especially considering I've never seen a Tim Hortons that wasn't constantly hiring, and there's one of those every 20 feet.

Tim Hortons hiring constantly.... not where I live. Out of the 4 here near my location, no. Not interested.

Girls who knowingly date idiots, then decide to cry on your shoulder. All I have to say to them is:

When theres that one long hair stuck on the bar of soap that you can't get rid off.

When people cannot decide what they want to do with a device they never use and still get stuck between selling the useless piece of junk or keeping it despite never using it. That's like telling someone else they can have a thousand dollars from your wallet and not to care about it. Sorry for the ramble on but I had to let out some anger.

Women who treat problems with emotion rather than logic (most).
Owners of riced vehicles WHO THINK that it honestly looks great.
Sellers of riced vehicles who use the apt terms 'turns heads' or 'a real head-turner' as a selling point.

My mom thought there was a robber in the shed today because she "couldn't open the door".

It was frozen shut... All I had to do was push it.

....When my wife spends all day at home but decides to take/make all her phone calls, interrupting me, during a movie I'm watching after a long day at work!

The fact that a few companies are using the 1st world war recruiting poster saying your country needs you and modifying it to advertise something.
I find it very disrespectful as well, as that poster led 800,000 people to their death.

...Going out with coworkers for a 'dinner' which turns into a drunken night in a KTV room, too many beers an an orgy (went for beers while the orgy took place). Then having to explain to the wife why I was home at 4am and not 11pm like I said I would be. Those 🤬!!!

Also, when my wife and I are watching a film, and 3 minutes in she asks me whats going on and who's this, who's that?
GRRR!
I don't know yet, I have only seen as much as you!!

Same here happened everytime when my mother and me were watching Lost.

Crowded trains. More importantly, folks in such crowded trains stomping around on your feet, thereby dirtying your brand new shoes.

I just remembered another thing that really grinds my gears today:

When girls pronounce "women" like "woman".

I say girls because girls are just about the only people I hear pronouncing women wrong, and I don't think I've ever heard a guy say it wrong (maybe I'm just lucky), but what I really don't like is any female pronouncing women wrong.

It's your own freaking gender; if you can't say it you sound like you have no brain at all. If a guy said it wrong, I'd just shake my head because it would probably be one of the jocks that doesn't care about school, let alone pronouncing words correctly (just speaking from personal experience here, not stereotyping). But when a FEMALE says it, especially one who's at least fairly smart, it just makes me remember them and think of them as a moron because they can't pronounce the plural of their own gender, and every guy I know can perfectly well.

People who say somethings better when they haven't even heard the other option

People who think Bruce Dickinson isn't a good vocalist, when he is actually GOD in the vocal world, followed by James LaBrie, Rob Halford, and Axl Rose

People who guess that you're not going to end up anywhere in life, when there is a chance (for me) to be a famous metal singer (I know, 1 in 1000000000000 chance, but apparently I have the voice, so it's more likely than you think)

People who disrespect your morales or disrespect your interest, or role models, or appearance, or personality, or anything

People who don't realize that I'll respect them as soon as they respect me

Ya know what grinds my gears! 200 laps at Daytona, on lap 200 of 200 and you run our of gas and get passed... i finished 4th. 2 hours over 2 hours... wasted... all wasted...

Happened to me this evening.:grumpy:

I dislike being called ugly by someone whose face looks like the rear end of a horse.

I hate it when my cat misses the litter box while she's in it. I don't get it, she's in there but it ends up on the outside of the box.

People who say "I didn't do nothing...". In that case they've done everything?
The proper way is "I did nothing..." or "I didn't do anything..."

What grinds my gears?...

People. People grind my gears. Is it just me, or is everyone else I see/meet/talk-to/hear-from/know-about just getting dumber and uncivilized?

Am I just getting old and cranky? :indiff:

Double negatives!

Costco.

I feel like I'm walking into a POW camp - the associates are ALWAYS watching you and it's so incredibly obvious that they don't trust you (as evidenced by the little cardboard cards that represent anything electronic of value, so you can't even see what you're buying most of the time), it's unnerving. The associates don't do a very god job of making it an inviting atmosphere, to be sure...:grumpy:

And then there's the customers. I think Costco stores are hotbeds for IQ droppage - I get so frustrated trying to wade through the bumbling, ignorant, and inconsiderate crowds because it's almost impossible to get anywhere. :yuck: Plus, they only give you ridiculously-oversized carts - it's like trying to navigate downtown Toronto (or New York, or London, etc. depending on where you reside) at rush hour, and EVERYONE is driving Cadillac Escalade ESVs or Chevy Suburbans!:banghead:

There's a reason I only go very rarely... I'd rather spend my dollars elsewhere unless the price differential really is too huge to turn down, even though there are not many other places I actually feel good about giving my money to... bur that's another rant!

Wow. Did no one else notice this?

What grinds my gears is standardized tests. The 11th graders are taking them and my schedule's all jacked up and I don't even take them!

-Being sick

-When I have work I don't want to do.

College grinds my gears. I don't mean to be mean at all, but why would you have someone with a very thick accent and really broken english teaching ... Physics 2?!?

I hate that also right now. A 3 hour homeroom gets boring real fast until a movie is played.
