first more cars premium then better gt mode and then better engine sounds
I also want customization but it's not the first thing I want

I want is to drive the jag xkr-s with a good engine sound ;)

I would like them to add the correct specs for all of the LMP, Group C and GT1 racecars that they messed up, and not just one of them like they did with the R10.

For me, it would be nice to hear superchargers on the cars.

We can hear Turbos well enough on Rally Cars etc but wheres the whine/scream from a blower? I've very faintly heard it from the Lightning truck when it's been left stock.

For me there isnt just one thing, for a start having 12 drivers in a room with mics on and getting lag is terrible for this day and age, i can play 64 player battles on battlefield 3 on the PC without lag so why only 12 or under on gt?

The crazy draft even on weak is like being pulled along by a huricane

And it would be nice if the setups actually behaved like they should in real life.

Id say these are my 3 main issues with GT5, if GT6 simply fixes stuff like these issues then id be over the moon, anything else they add would be a bonus.

Of the choices I voted for sound since it sounds like we are getting the physics these impact all cars.

The thing I want most is not on the list though and that would be a good leaderboard system.

I really could care less about GT mode being expanded. Online play is where it is at.
I don't really care much about a full blown livery editor something simple that allows stripes and numbers and maybe some sponsor decals and/or team decals would be great.

I'm not concerned about the visual damage model as I do not drive to crash my car and look at the damage.

Engine swap would be cool if kept within reason

Better tire wear is a biggy

More RM options would be awesome

A way to invite a friend to a race from within the game is another biggy

I would also like to see the setup page changed to be able to save the setup to a named file rather than A,B,C

Things I want that haven't been mentioned.

*An intelligent AI with options.
*Dedicated servers and/or better online code.
*More tuning options with beginner (what we have now) and expert modes.
*A real track creator. One that isn't based on an algorithm .
*More offline racing and an event generator with tons of options.
*More options for everything.
*Don't forget about the drag racers, drifters, dirty racers, those that play games (cops, etc.) and cruisers.

Things I want that have been mentioned.

*New/better menus with faster load times.
*Better physics.
*More tracks.
*More visual and performance car customization. I expect way more than wheels and wings.

Overall I want more actual racing and tuning and less time farting around in slow menus buying, repairing and modding cars. I also want to option to make the game more fun. Let me control my racing experience from serious to fun.

Improved AI is #1. In a racing game, having somebody to actually race against in a moderately realistic manner is central to the whole experience.

But out of that list I'd go with an improved career mode with more events. Though the seasonals are a huge help in that area, it's nice not to have to wait two years for a big variety of those events to accumulate.

A livery editor would be next. I'd like to at least be able to put a few racing stripes on my cars.

In priority order:

1. Improved customization (I'll also add improved track creator here, because there were no option for it)
2. Improved physics (tyres, suspension, mechanical damage)
3. Better sounds
4. Better GT mode (and improved online multiplayer)
5. More cars (and tracks)
6. Better visual (dirt accumulating on the cars would be nice)

I am a little surprised how many people I see on the forums who want AI and career events above several other things.

For me the AI and career both take a back seat to online. No matter what events they add in Career mode you are still racing against AI and no matter what they do to the AI it will never be like racing a real person.

Not everyone likes online racing for a multitude of reasons and some people can't use it at all.

1. Online play. Needs to be more than just open lobbies. More filters and seeing room rules before entering.
2. AI. At least be able to match cars for a close race. They need to be able take a curve without coming to a complete stop.

I'd be happy with improvement in just these areas.

True but there really is nothing like racing against a good group of real people.

I did not do much in the way of racing games until I started playing NFS Porsche Unleashed [which IMO is probably the best NFS game ever] I bought 3 copies of the game, installed it on 3 PCS networked them and had my friends over for some racing. That was awesome, of course being on the network there was no lag and being all in the same room talking to each other was easy and the game was a blast.

Online play so long as you are with a good group with good connections is the holy grail for a racing game being able to race my brother who lives 500 miles away and meet and race new people from all over the world that have all levels of skill and different personalities. It just doesn't get any better than that.

The more they could do to enhance online play the better and should be the top priority in any current or next gen racing game.

That is not to say that the AI should not be considered important nor career mode they both could benefit from an upgrade.

Customization options & a better offline mode... and a new PD CEO... Kaz lost his edge some time ago and the franchise needs a new leader IMHO...

Dito, ill do offline events just to get the cars i want to race online with friends, without online i wouldnt play gt6 longer than a few weeks, same aplied for GT5

I've loved online racing in GT5 but there's been enough issues that have lured me back to offline as time's gone by.

It's mostly a convenience issue. I can't always race at set League or Club time slots. Sometimes there's someone with a bad connection lagging or there's crappy frame rates. Hopefully revamped servers will happen.

The time spent searching in random lobbies looking for a clean group. I've spent 45 minutes to an hour searching then giving up. I'm way over that mess. The cars or tires I want to run aren't always popular choices. I like stock vehicles on comfort tires with no aids.

I still race with a couple online groups but I like to test drive a lot of different cars without it always being an online race situation. A more dynamic AI would be great for setting up my own races at my own convenience. And would make GT6's career far more re-playable.

I not to fussy with the sounds, if they are improve a bit then thats good for me. A livery editor would make me jump for joy.

Your poll is not really going to show a true picture as you did not include anything related to online play which should be a very big part of the game
True, but posting fills in the holes in polls. Plus, it sounds like the online structure got a huge boost in capacity. The ability to create and host online clubs and leagues, events, series and championships?? This sounds like the online system we've been begging for.

I know the sound guys must be cursing us all, but I think damage should come before sound improvements, personally. And as others have said, a Livery Editor is almost essential in order for the online clubs and leagues to function.

I'm just really looking forward to a smoother game engine as it has been promised, all GT games up to GT4 had smooth beautiful graphics but GT5 was a bit of a mess with screen tearing and slowdown , well compared to previous GT games anyways.

I would prefer more premiums over standards obviously but still not as important as a good GT/career mode as i also didn't think much of the career
mode in GT5.

All in all a few improvements to all areas you have stated in your poll will make GT6 the game GT5 should have been and i can't wait for it.

The big lack of GT5 is IMO the online section (if you can/want please add the option to your poll).
Almost everyone of us love to play among friends.
The online environment is the real challenge; it should:
- be robust (I would pay for stable connections)
- have qualify sessions
- have lap time leaderboards (something like in GT5p)
- allow a little bit of car livery customization (livery color for race cars would be enough with me)

I hope they learned the lessons from GT5 experience.

The poll is flawed, but even still it's interesting to note that nearly 60% want car liveries/customization and better racing options.

I would vote better GT Mode, but you have B-Spec in there. I could do without that entirely and just have more races, events and tracks. Then better AI and sound.

I think I'd be happy if they used B-Spec-free 3 as an example of career progression and number of events, even drastically lowered the number of cars, kept all the tracks in any GT game thus far, kept the graphics and physics improvements of 5 and finally gave it decent AI.
