What is missing from GT7 in your opinion?

Lobbies you should be able to change the amount of laps, the track and performance points and tires allowed.

Multiplayer AI would be nice. So many rooms open with one person in them. It would add an interesting element whether or not the AI are good or not.

I would appreciate better payouts online and for events. Why would I race certain races when the payout isn’t equal to the time spent and payout of another race? I usually just bang out the Porsche or Ferrari race that pays around $90,000 for 5 laps. It’s like 11 minutes. It would be nice to move around to other races and get paid the same amount For my time but it doesn’t seem to be that way.

i would like to see a REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR

-Tire Pressure indication and modification.
-Tire temperature indication.
-brake temperature.
-brake wear.
(Off course with the dinamic effect in real time.)
-Glowing exhaust in the night on race cars.
-More Effects, Sparks, Spray, smoke, dust, etc.
-Weather forecast.
-More Info of the cars, type of engine, I.e. v8,v6, L4, etc
-Some kind of demostration car running to show the track limits (Like in F1)
-More Real Cars, GT3, GT4 ,GT1, no VGT magic stupid concept cars
-And more content in general. Its seriously short of single player content.

I believe these two things are doable. I have zero music in the game. I think there's a body repair option in the Racing or Extreme tabs in the Tuning Shop to reset the weight to original.

Jerome
You can disable all of the music by going into the options and turning it off, but unlike the race BGM you can't pick and choose which specific songs you want to have play on the menus.

As for body repair option. I didn't know that was a thing, I know of the restore rigidity option but I'm not entirely certain if that undoes any weight reduction mods. Something to try, I guess.

Yes, It seems DTM is getting less and less love in Racing games. C-Class, A4, Calibra, and the rest of them. Also GT7, Where that Escudo at? that car is a Gran Tursimo Treasure, Give it back lol.
I recall seeing a post on here that stated that the DTM license is very restricted, which would suck if true as I personally love the C-Class DTM and feel like it's a very overlooked car.

I've said it a thousand times that they should make every car in the game available as a rental car in the Arcade Modes.

Either make them all accessible immediately like in Forza's Free Play mode, or implement something similar to GT4 where obtaining a car at least once and registering it in your Car Index unlocks it permanently as a rental car there.

It sound like you want a completely different game. Also, almost half your list is already in the game.

They mean the option to buy an entire new body for 1/2 the cost of the original car. It's technically an option that will reset weight reductions, wide-body, etc, but it makes more sense at current to just buy duplicate cars since you're going to pay the same amount to get a new engine/body as you would for another complete car.

Bring back the “Collisions OFF” option in lobbies, please.

(Not just to thwart saboteurs, but because it’s a fun option sometimes, even if slightly unrealistic)

Cones.

Get rid of the bright red braking area and bring back the cones. The cones were great for assisting you in learning braking points, as they were just something on the side of the track you had to look for, and if someone else knocked them over, you had to rely on memory more.

The giant bright red braking area makes it harder because that's all you focus on, there is no easily referenced point when you turn the giant red lines off, because they hid all detail under them.

Bring the cones back!

This 100%. There are a couple tracks I don't know very well in the modern physics engine so I use the braking zone on those courses. Two months in and I'm STILL using the braking zone on those courses. The cones are so much more subtle and instructive. The blaze-red braking zone is obstructive and acts as a crutch, not a learning tool.

Oh didn’t recognize the cones are gone😬 I don’t understand why, they just introduced them with GTS and they really worked great in my opinion

It needs

  • Improved FFB for the T300
  • The ability to disable individual HUD elements
  • The ability to move hud elements. The timer at the top middle is too low and when driving roof cam in some cars when you look back it blocks the view of the track behind
  • Rear view mirror in roof camera
  • Proper Carreer / Campaign mode (The CAFE thing they present as a creer mode feels like an ARCADE mode from past games)
  • The ability to restart the career mode (New Game+ With licence tests that you complete still complete)
  • All upgrade parts available instead of being thrown in the roulette
  • All of the fantasy tracks that were in GT from all the previous GT games
GT7 kind of feels like a prologue game that we got before. It feels incomplete.

Why so much difficulty in adding the original circuits of the franchise, since they do not require licensing or on-site digitization?
  • Red Rock Valley
  • Grand Valley
  • El Capitan
  • Autumn Ring
  • Midfield
  • Gridenwald
  • Apricot Hill
  • Special Stage Route 5 & 11

These circuits should be mandatory and already available in advance, at launch. It would be like releasing Street Fighter without Ryu, Ken, Chun-li and Guile.

I miss a couple of things from GTS - being able to list your cars in order of number of races won and how many times you've done a particular race.
A better UI for the cars in general is needed. Like a way to sort them into folders so that I can just click "Porsche" or "Gr.3" and have JUST those cars pop up instead of scrolling through a massive page to find where the "P's" begin. I've only got about 220 unique cars, around 350 cars in total, and it's already a pain trying to find a car let alone when I've got ALL of the cars with duplicates of all the ones that have highly tunable or customizable in some way.

Better UI's are also needed for the races. We need a screen where you can just click "gr. 3" and it shows all of the Gr. 3's available.

Though these are minor QoL issues. This game is absolutely starving for content, cars from the last decade, more tracks... It's got good "bones" but at the rate we're going GT8 will be close to launch before there's any meat on GT7's bones.

First and foremost!!! Fix the f'ing roulette system. -What a joke. I've played since the game became available, yet my pay outs on even the one and only 6 star ticket I've ever received have been dismal. What a joke. If nothing else, eliminate the whole graphic since its a farce anyway and just give the 'prize' whatever it might be. The suggestions that I will get something beyond the lowest possible reward is nothing short of insulting, especially since its been proven that you can abort the received gift, reboot the game, and then open it again....only to get THE EXACT SAME THING.

How about races where we are specifically needed to run electric cars. -Why are they even in the game if there is no actual need to use them (my apologies if races of this type do exist, and if they do, would someone be so kind as to point out to me where they can be find)?

Fixing this HORRIBLE AI. -During many of my time playing grinding money, I cannot count the amount of times cars will veer into my path. I've experimented enough to take different lines down straights and corners as well, and the pathetic blocking still exists.

Either fix or adequately explain how to enable playing my musical preferences while navigating in the menu's as well as racing. Regardless to any sort of explaination how to use this option, I find it total BS that when I played GT6, I could import and play MY music, but now can only listen to custom music by using Spotify or Apple. Somehow I feel like this is the only option because the game makers took money from one or both with the caviat that to do so, the player is unable to use or import any music they own, thus forcing them to only use one of the two options (and therefore paying $).

Its literally becoming amazing how this game is becoming such a money grab from EVERY conceivable angle (the joke of a reward roulette system as well as the limited music option).

I don't think there is much else to add. For me personally, it's a shame that in a racing game where you can very easily create a content for the player by adding a lot of racing events, endurance races and let the player be occupied by doing them. There are so many unused cars in the game, so many unused track configurations that it's a pity to talk. Even without adding content in the form of tracks and cars, there are many ways to increase CONTENT.

A reporting system, for the love of god, I just went from S safety ranking to C from doing the last 2 daily race B's
Half the players out there seem to know how to cheat the system and what is stopping them? They have incentives to wipe out other racers if they can get away with it. It's ruined this game for me

Races. A racing sim that doesn't have enough races. Can you believe it?

What's the point of buying a 20mcr car that you can't race against the AI because it's too rare or too easy against incompatible opponents or humans (because the lobby system is crap).

Makes you wonder how much thought they put into this game, if any at all.

I miss the real favorites feature, that hid the cars we weren't using all the time.

B-Spec is missing. For those of us that used the feature. It was good to watch a "live" race and with these bigger fields of cars and the custom race feature, it would add more replayability for some of us.

So many great American tracks are missing.

Road Atlanta
Road America
Indianapolis
Watkins Glen
LimeRock park
VIR
Sebring

These are must have tracks for any racing game imo. Two other must haves that are missing off the top of my head from around the globe and two I think would just be really cool to see in gt7:

Silverstone
Mugello
Canadian tire motorsports park
Yas marina

Also more street circuits or even country side circuits/point to point would be cool/different.

Finally compared to gt6(last mainline entry) the car roster is pretty limited. I know a lot of the assets in gt6 were probably still from the ps2 era but still, it's been a decade since gt6. One would think that gt7 would have launched with at least half as many vehicles instead of a third. Missing many modern exotic cars, modern race cars, and classic race cars.

This might sound a bit strange, but real tyres. You're never quite sure how the hard, medium and soft tyres (sport tyres in particular) compare to real world tyres.

E.g. the GTR 7:27 challenge in GT6 used SH tyres from memory and it was equally challenging and satisfying to match the real world record time.

In GT7, SS tyres are definitely too fast (eg they're more like semi slicks) but not sure whether SH or SM are more true to life.
