I have not seen a clear explanation on this. What does it affect exactly? Does it also affect missions, or just normal races?

Information according to the manual below.

I am assuming someone who chose ‘easy’ on the global level will have difficulty with Missions having 1 or more chiles (and vice versa).

The AI simply drivers slower.

NOTE: The races on world circuits that have chili peppers are not affected by this. They have their own difficulty that can't be changed.

Take the WTC 600 Championship. Try to win it in easy mode (pi** easy), and then try it on hard mode. You'll see the big difference.

I don’t think this is true. I lowered my difficulty to easy for the wtc800 and it was al lot, I mean a lot, easier.

It’s confusing but I think it changes

are the credits affected in easy mode? could be a handy feature for grinding people who dont want such intense or serious racing.

Good to know everyone is just as confused by this as I am. So we can conclude that nobody knows exactly but polyphony.

I assume only the menu book races are affected, but I could be wrong.
