So far for me, the rarest car is the R92CP... I think I'm between 2000-3000 game days, and I haven't seen one in the UCD and the OCD.

I've seen Mugen S2000s several times this month.
But I've only seen the Gillet Vertigo Racecar one time since I've owned the game - which I bought on release day - and I couldn't afford it :(

I've seen that a few times actually, every time I saw it I couldn't afford it.
 
I guess the rarest car is the last standard car you don`t have.

The GT-R Concept (Tokyo Motor Show 2001) '01 was my last standard car I had to find to have 100% of all ingame cars.
 
I really don't want to rain on anyone's parade here but for the love of...when will people realise that just because *they* have only seen some car once or not at all, this does not qualify it as "rare"? There are a crazy number of cars in this game, even that other site is pretty bogus with its rarity factor for certain models, when there are millions of players and well over 1000 cars (multiply that many times when counting paint chips too)

I can't find it yet. Got every other group c car except mazda and jaguar. I'm also looking for peugeot 905.
 
All people have an opinion of is their experience. If the question of the thread was answered by a well researched, statistically or mathematically accurate answer, then it would have died on page one and it would no longer be an open ended question. What's rare to some is not to others, and it adds to the conversation of the thread, the content of GTP and people enjoy talking about which cars they have a hard time finding. To point out that their experiences differs from others, which nullifies their opinion, would defeat the general purpose of this website. Everything would be known and little to discuss.

The cars are not actually rare there is a pattern in the ucd. There are days for certain cars so every car is not rare, it has a set time.
 
I know this, I was making a point that there's nothing wrong with discussing one's own experience. Even though you could find out how much longer it will be until you see a car you want, what's wrong with saying, in your experience, it's been a long time since you've seen it, and as a result it feels rare to you? So on, so forth.

I missed out on a Chapperal 2J. Had to earn cash before ucd took it off.
. Managed over 4mil in 4 races but missed it.
Still waiting now on day 900+.
Hope it hasn't appeared then gone again when I have done 5 races without checking!

You can get that one in one of the newer seasonal races as a prize.
Never mind, it's the R89C that can be won. Sorry about that I remembered wrong.

i have never seen the w12 nardo concept 01 in ucd i know it was in ocd like last week but i had to start my game again and couldnt gain enough credits in a day.

I've seen the Nardo five times in the used lot, and three times online.

Days 127, 680, 686, 717, and 829 used. 4/12/12, 8/30/12, and 12/20/20 online. I didn't buy GT5 till Dec '11.

1.5 million credits...

That's not hard. Race Online A-Spec #4, 3rd race several times. 1 million credits a win (with 200%). I see the McClaren usually on the first race. The Mazda 787B, Nissan R390, and a few others beat it easily. The Ford GT is on the 2nd race usually, and far easier to beat (exit race, start again.)

You need to check the online lot. I didn't buy the game but a little over a year ago, and seen it 5/24/12 and 10/25/12 in the online car lot. Twice only in the used lot with over 800 game days played.

The online generally rotates every 14 days.
 
Nismo GT-R LM Going Version '95 anyone?

I have not seen this car in the used lot. I have only seen it in the online lot, and it popped up today. Should be available for two weeks at 500,000 credits, along with the Suzuki GSX-R/4 Concept which is also not a common car to find. I didn't have all the Mazdas that came up today either, till today. Here are the 16 cars that came up:
