What is wrong with this race?

the 5th race in the formula Gran Turismo series has made me just about break my PS3 due to just everything going wrong with it. Other than having to cancel a pit stop every single lap because in the pouring rain it's trying to change me into racing: hard tires, I'm still spinning out on every corner with full racing:rain while being lapped by people in hard tires. Not just passed, lapped. My times went from 1:35 per lap to almost 3 minutes. I changed back off of racing hard back into rain and my spinouts got worse, so now, down by 2 laps with 5 laps left I switch back to racing hard while it's still pissing rain (got sick of cancelling pit stops) and suddenly I'm tearing through the course. There's something horribly horribly wrong with this track, and it's just cost me the championship because of it, so suffice to say I'm pretty livid about it. Anyone else have issues like this?

Got lucky and didn't have any rain on my FGT championship...Got 4 first positions and one 3rd. But in the Cote d'Azur my Bob was constantly taking wall on the very last chicane before the start/finish line... B-spec championship that took a lot of coaching..almost A-spec..

Nice, that is lucky. I've had heavy rain 2 tracks in a row Luckily on the second course everyone else had hard tires from the previous race (despite the heavy rain) and so by the end of the second lap I'd lapped 5 of them, and by the end of the 3rd lap I was 1 lap ahead of everyone.

I'd come in second just one race before the rain because out of stupidity I assumed I'd be fine being in first with a 15 second lead going into the final 2 laps, but alas no. My guy pit stopped twice in the final 2 laps, despite having more than enough gas and new tires. I don't get this game sometimes.

I had rain but found the FGT series was fairly easy compared to some of the others.
A lot depends on your driver. Just keep trying eventually Bob will find his way around it.

It can really get frustrating at time but if you learn to laugh at it will go a bit easier.

just to clarify, my issue here isn't that it's raining. I have no problems with that. It's that while raining, my Racing: Rain tires were acting like Hard and were spinning out every turn, whereas in pouring rain my Racing: Hard were gripping as if it were the middle of the desert. Made worse by the fact that when it did the first auto pit stop it put me in racing hard and as a result I did a 4 minute lap, then when I changed back into racing:rain it got even worse, then back into racing: hard and suddenly they're miracle tires.

tl; dr game physics got completely messed up, not the b-spec aspect or my driver, it just became opposite day

just finished A-Spec FGT Championship...never hated a championship like this one before. FYI, i'm using a classic DS3 controller. I just quit Cote d'Azur before breaking a controller when dumb IA driver hit me at turn #2 ( I was at 1st position) then my car flip out. I manage to win the championship. Oh and I came 3rd on Suzuka under 20 loooong laps with rain. Ask me if I'm gonna do this championship again....
