ok..

.5 Seconds isn't CRAP of a lead when you're comparing stock cars. .5 Seconds on a lap is EASILY attainable when you're going from stock to modded, and you know damn well it is.

And I can't believe you actually think it's a FAIR Comparison!

You still didn't comment on the fact that there isn't a 30,000 dollar car on the market, that can't blow all other sub 100,000 dollar cars out of the water with 4,200 dollars in modifications.

Considering the Evo is a DECENT contender, they put it up against a 315HP naturally aspirated Porsche, which in itself is a good competition, seeing as how they are nearly the same power.
But no you're comparing A "271"(and I say that with the greatest of dissapproval) Evo 8 a rechipped ECU, a Xede piggyback, Turboback exhaust, a larger anti roll bar, an aftermarket clutch, aftermarket brake pads, lighter rims.

Yeah, it's a porsche, but it's not that "great" of a porsche, put the MODIFIED Evo up against a Turbo, which would be on it's playing field, and watch it get burnt.
Oh I am going to have a field day here :D. . .

1. Ok Driftster. . . I take it you have never purchased a car before. If you live in the U.S., there is a thing called tax, title, tags, and Dealer fee which have got to be paid. The $34,000 is an estimate. Tell me 1 dealer in America that does not charge for those things and I'll buy you a car. It is against U.S. laws to not charge for those things. If a company does not charge for them, wait until they get audited, they'll be out of business before you can say anything. With that said, there is your supposed Math skills young grasshopper.

2. Yes that is totally agreeable with a modded car versus a stock car, but do you have the cash to afford both??? If you do, then more power to you, but for someone making about $60,000 a year it is tough to be able to own a $82,000 car. For a fraction of the price I would prefer to buy an Evolution and burn a Porsche by an inch and only an inch and have bragging rights.

3. Under $30,000 to burn a sub $100,000. Well depending on what you meant by a sub $100,000 car, if less then $100,000 I can show you a Civic that would burn a Geo. . . Make yourself a little clearer. As for a car hovering around $100,000 that would get burnt by a $30,000 car, look at some Mercedes Benzs for example, such as one of the family sedans, I am sure there is one or two that could not put up the number like the Evolution 8 or WRX STI, maybe not even the numbers a Mazdaspeed Protege or Dodge SRT-4 for that fact in the performance field.

4.
Evo 8 a rechipped ECU, a Xede piggyback, Turboback exhaust, a larger anti roll bar, an aftermarket clutch, aftermarket brake pads, lighter rims.
With $82,000 invested into a car I would expect to have a car that has performance modification in it from the factory. . . yeah it has that work done to it, but, how much was the total bill again with the Evo and the Porsche??? A freaking S2000 can beat a Boxster S on the track. a $20,000 difference and both were completely stock. I believe that was in Road & Track or Car and Driver one of those magazines a little after the roadster explosion happened. What I am getting to at this point, if you are paying for a performance car, your money needs to be spent and worth what you spend. I truly do not believe that spending $82,000 on a Porsche that will perform a little better then an Evolution 8 is worth my time, my effort, or my money! Which also leads me back to you saying ,
And I can't believe you actually think it's a FAIR Comparison!
You're right it is not a fair comparison. . . get that dam under performing Porsche out of a league where it is too expensive to compete in. Take that to the bank Driftster. This is nothing against you, but a good controversary so don't get upset by what I say. I will back down if you do because that is the last thing I want.

In most states, registration is issued to a person and not an automobile making it impossible for a dealer to charge for tags. In effect, what am I saying? I'll take an '03 M5 in LeMans Blue with the M audio system, please! :)

No! You said you'd buy it! But I guess if you're buying the ribbons then you don't need to worry about the rest.
