What is your favorite racing group for sport mode? (Poll)

The recent topic bashing Gr4 had an overwhelming majority of people vote to defend Gr4 and say that they enjoyed it (myself included)

This has made me curious of what group is the over all favorite?

This is a tough choice as for me, it is very track dependent. For me Gr3 just beats out Gr2/Gr4 (tied) with Gr1 a little further behind (but still very fun at the right track). My least favorite are the GrN/GrX one make races.

A lot of it is track dependent, so just try to think in general which group you prefer

I enjoy Gr 4 mostly, Even in project cars it was my favorite category, The cars aren't stupid fast and because they are slower getting your lines right makes the most difference.

Now if only PD could make the cars just that bit more equal.

IME... the harder the car is to drive, bigger the gap between 'alien' and 'normal'.

What kind of logic is to merge Gr X with N class ??

Please add N class to the poll so I can vote in a fair way instead of Gr X. Race A is always N class so very strange to not have that as an option.

GR3 for me, mainly based on the fact I settled on a car I really like, haven’t quite made that connection with GR4 cars yet. That said I enjoy GR4 races as you can push harder with less fear of spinning out.

I'm not 100% sure - whenever I venture over to the one make or we've got a N300 race in Daily C, I seem to be racing with DR.B's a lot more who focus on the lower powered cars and know how they react.
Put those same drivers in a group 3 car and we wouldn't be competing vs each other.

Could also be that I hardly practice street cars...

For me that's Gr.3 or up. I find the N-CLASS to be easier. But it is what I run 95% of the time.

GR. 4, primarily just because I love driving the Cayman. I love the feel of the car so I'm there for any track on the Daily Race that allows for it.

I voted Gr.2. Gr.4 is awesome for Sport Mode. In Arcade, at most tracks, they're pretty cautious at certain turns.

Gr.2 AI are fast at every track. Even where, in general Groups, the AI seemed programmed to be slowest of the slow: The Cutting to Forrest's Elbow at Mount Panorama.

At the moment I would say Gr. 3, because not only are the cars great but the BoP is very good right now. Gr. 1 is possibly more fun to drive but there are only two or three competitive cars. Gr. 2 hasn't featured enough in Sport Mode for me to judge it yet. And Gr. 4 is fun but probably the least exciting of these groups.

I'm at Gr. 4. BoP is still not perfect, but it's reached a point where you actually have a choice, so it's pretty diverse. And I also love that it relies more on skill and mechanical grip. Going from Gr. 3 to Gr. 4 my lap times would temporarily slow down since I suddenly have no downforce to rely on, but going from Gr. 4 to 3 I'm much faster

Like the title says, just want to see what everyone prefers for cars groups? Personally, I'm a big fan of the gr.4 cars as I feel like they are fairly balanced (maybe it's just the people I race against, which is totally possible). I'm also fairly consistent across the board the gr.4 cars so I can switch cars whenever I feel like and run about the same lap times. I like the gr.3 cars as well, but I feel like I'm not as consistent with them, with the exception being the Corvette. Gr.2 is fun although I don't drive them much, and gr.1 is just to fast for my brain to keep up with them most of the time. The road cars just aren't my flavor.

Gr2 is way to fast for me.
In Gr3, automatic vs manual - I lose about 1.5 seconds per lap on manual.

Gr4 is super super cool. I generally love slower cars, not much of a fan of hyper cars. My manual time is pretty pretty close with automatic.

It just suits my driving style the most.

I'm huge fan of Gr4 and Toyota 86.

To all that answered Gr. 4, has the addition of the Trophy swayed you?

I personally did, and now I enjoy Gr. 3 more than Gr. 4 becaude of the absolute dominance that the Veyron and Trophy hold in that class. I was okay with the Veyron to begin with, a one-trick pony at Monza. But ever since the Trophy was added I felt like the only time I wasn't using the Trophy is when I'm using the Veyron, so yeh

I'm interested how the Trophy affected you guys

Close call but I think Gr. 3 edges it with Gr. 2 a close second. Gr 3 has a lot more variety in it in terms of the grid lineup. The Evo X Gr. 3 might work brilliantly on 1 track *cough*Blue Moon, but borderline useless on another which makes car selection interesting and varied. Gr. 2 is a lot of fun as the grip from those monsters is phenomenal and the racing is pretty close. I used to enjoy Gr. 4 until the Megane Trophy was added. It should be classified as Gr. 3.5 or something along those lines. The daily B race today at Alsace for Gr. 4 cars might as well be a One Make Megane Trophy event.
