What "standards" can't you wait to photoshoot?

Since it looks like the "standard" models will be getting a pretty good facelift it makes me wonder what cars we'll see showing up in the photostream first.

Quite a few cars were really bad in GT5. Some were epically horrific like the 1970 Chevrolet SS, Buick Grand National, 1970 Plymouth Superbird and many others (sorry those are just the three in my head right now).

So I have a short list of cars I'll be taking out for a photoshoot as soon as I can.

What legacy standards can you not wait to shoot?

This is weird and slightly random, but the Subaru Legacy B4 Blitzen would be one of the first Standards I'd purchase, and photograph.
It's always been a favourite car of mine, most likely due to memories of GT3. I love the unique wing and the looks.

It's never been clarified that all standards are getting a facelift, nor that it's "good". I won't get too excited until I see what's actually been done.

True, but man they can't be as bad as GT5. If they are I might puke all over my TV.

Ok so what "would" you shoot if they are a whole lot better?

if there has been an upgrade...and assuming its not been given a premium status....one of the Oreca Vipers...im a sucker for the Viper lol

Definitely the DeLorean, I would love to go to one of the older locations and treat it like I went through time, Yeah.... and then go back and photoshop time machine mods onto it... I think I'm going too far..

All Kaz said was, "In terms of graphics quality, the bad quality Standard models we’ve updated so they look better."

I take that to mean only the worst looking models are upgraded so it could be 20 or 200 who knows? It also doesn't say they look premium, just better. I'm not getting my hopes up that's for sure:lol:

Probably none as I don't think any of them will be up to premium quality. I did take some track photo's of standards for tuning purposes, race date photo's etc. but I always applied some post processing to make them look better.

Fair enough JP ;)

Maybe I'm just weird but I've often tried to find some of the more "normal" cars to shoot. Like a non sporty sedan or K car of sorts. There is a whole lot more to pick from if the standards get a boost in res.

Odd question as I'm not into photo shoot but I'll likely snap a photo or 2 of the 67 Cougar XR7, I had a shot of it air borne on cape ring as my profile pic in GT5

Until I know for sure if they've received any attention compared to GT5; none. Maybe as background cars, but I've had access to them in Photomode for nearly a decade now, even GT6's lighting engine can't convince me to shoot them again when we have new, current-gen car models to enjoy.

Oh, that bolded part is a bit... bold. I'm not really expecting much of a facelift, if any.

On top of my target list is the RUF Yellowbird, though. After I've painted it red.

agree...only thing i can see is if this "adaptive tessellation" stuff they are talking about is implemented well, then we are going to see cleaner looking standards...but unfortunately the textures are what they are....things like sponsor decals on race cars are still going to be painfully low resolution in comparison to premium cars...

My favorite since GT4 of course: Peugeot 406 V6 Coupe :D

Just hope it can be fitted with a decent bodykit this time!

Adaptive tesselation shouldn't even apply to standards. They're so low poly that it should be the highest quality mesh, all the time.

just a man holding out hope that PD has figured out a way to use it to smooth out things like wheel wells and such ;)
