not your usual lounge **** either.

You know, being ignored doesn't amuse me much. I find it really tiresome handing out low-grade infractions to low-grade posts. But if you absolutely insist on it I'll make a start.

Quick reminder:

And now let's try those same posts again, but without the barely-concealed expletives.

Quick note: If you want to type a word you KNOW is filtered, think of a different way of expressing yourself.

You're talking about music. Expletives aren't really necessary.

Unless it's Celine Dion, but even so, express it differently while you're on here.

@ tait

Yeh Squarepusher Is good, and im a big fan of Boards too, also some other of mention too are Luke Vibert & Jamie lidell, both have a unique sound too, especially Jamie lidell, but he stricktley not electronic hes more jazz soul fusion esq. and for those who like to mix hip hop with electronic try looking for beans too, if you have noticed a trend, they are all on the Warp lable, best electronic lable ever.

Also from TDR (The Designers Republic) the guys who did all the design work for the wipeout games bring you this video on warp records.

Beans - Mutescreamer

and one for the Acid lovers.

Famine: I let a single word slip, it happens.

Sprite: Agreed on Warp. Amazing selection and variation of their artist, and each of them talented in their own right. Ninjatune is another one to check out if you're into the hip hop and electronic mixture. They also have the best down-tempo acts signed.

So I mentioned in my low grade post above that I would try to make a post of more ambient/chilled out musicians. There's a good chance some of you might have heard this stuff, but to some hopefully they will be new and who knows; you might like one or two artist.

Tycho seems to be one a lot of people like, it's really easy to get into as it has a bit of a generic sound. Laid back and strung out bass lines with some nice melodies on top. Sunrise Projector is a really good album to have for relaxing moments.
The Disconnect

Dictaphone's Lament

9 Lazy 9 is more down-tempo but still great to chill out to. Heavy with jazz influences.

The Album Leaf is one of my favourites, his music holds a lot of sentimentality and he uses more non-electronic insturments than most.

Caural is an absolute favourite of mine. Their music is just fun to listen, and always seems to fit a summer day.
This songs a bit darker than his usual stuff.

Luke Vibert

Hammock

Manitoba is one to check out, the album Start Breaking my Heart is amazing; too bad youtube doesn't have anything.

John Tejada is really good.

I am wondering if someone knows similar artists to Chicane that are good.

I am very big on the ambient/chill music, so I always like to find more when possible.

check out Solar Stone, Aindain, early Ferry Corsten and Blank & Jones during their 'dream' period. Hooverphonic also has some mildly dream songs, but they incorporate a few other instruments/styles.
