Not that simple - because no one will do microtransactions if the game doesn't work properly.
And your point also misses a simple case: even if you need a lot of time: you can get every car w/o mtx. So if it is your plan to boost mtx - then you include cars, updates and tuning that are only available through mtx. If you choose cars with a very good meta - you will push every hardcore and conpetetive player to buy them.
The current state will make it easier for casual gamers by mtx - but they are not required at the moment. You are maybe seduced to use them - but that's also requires you to be weak in this part.
