What WILL you make with a GPS enabled or very detailed track editor?

Hi all, I don't even have a PS3 yet...

Anyway, can't wait to see this feature in action.
Just wait until the feature is actually in the game before buying a PS3. I'm pretty sure the track creator is not going to be anywhere close to what PD says it will be.

PD must be looking at this and think, how are we meant to kindly say to millions of people that this isn't going to happen?
Yeah... I hear more and more people saying they won't bother with GT anymore because of the endless empty promises.

Way to disappoint him before he even plays the game
Would you really recommend someone to buy a PS3 specifically for GT6? Do you think he should spend $250 just to see if GT6 is any good? Even most GT hardcore fans are disappointed with GT6. Someone who is new to the series will be bored to death. Watch the review of InsideSimRacing.

I was just talking about the course maker :odd:

Y'all might be right. I might stick with PC and Assetto Corsa and wait and see on the track creator and/or GT7.

Of course, I'm sure I would end up with more PS games eventually, and 2 kids + wife would surely find fun stuff to do with a Playstation as well. I have played GT5, and while it didn't "feel" as hardcore as my old Simbin titles, it was enough good fun to interest me. The course-maker, if it works well, will push me over the edge.

I appreciate the input.

I've given up all hope of getting this feature. We would have heard / seen footage of it by now surely?
They haven't shown anything in advance ever in GT history. ITs usually just kaz saying something in an interview/article.

Japanese Drift Tracks of course like Ebisu or Nikko but also tight one as Yamanashi ;) !

Good Idea since they aren't very long or anything, Bihoku as well.

I just hope one of the templates is set in Japan. It feels weird to say such a thing, but with so much stuff in Spain being thrown at us lately it feels like they have taken a 180' and have forgotten about their home country to an extent, which can be just as beautiful.

(Also, love hearing him work the throttle on that 86...)

I was just reviewing this thread and had a thought-how much elevation change does the Blue Ridge Parkway have...?

I looked it up. 650 feet to 6683 feet above sea level.....

Too bad it's too long to put in all almost 470 miles ( http://wikitravel.org/en/Blue_Ridge_Parkway ), but maybe I can drive up to Mt Mitchell...? ;) Then to Chimney Rock.... ;)

I'm excited for the possibilities. Too bad we can't include the scenery! I hope this shows up before winter!

It is winter.

I want a lot in the track builder. Random-ish small lumps/craters on the track - rather than billiard table smooth circuits. Something to make the suspension work and to add to the lap.

If I could make something like Cadwell Park I'd be happy.

---Would be great if you could alter the season to a track... A winter version of Autumn Ring... Frost and snow dusting the grass, the trees bare and the clouds low and threatening a snow flurry.

I just want the track creator to show up in the game at this point... please PD.. :grumpy:

And if it does show up I'm going for the Isle of Man course! :D

I found the perfect race track yesterday... Ill post its routes... (a circuit and a point to point) Theres a crest on the corner labeled jump I was going about 15 mph and got an inch off of the ground, lol. The highest point is about 2400 feet and the lowest is about 2100 feet. Lots of hills, in the California Mountains.

Definitely going to create two-lane narrow long highway with various elevation differences like those Nevada Speed Challenges in ProStreet, that's the only reason I really liked that game.

Let's just hope it comes soon in a month or two. Hopefully, my brother's phone will support the app. I was hopeful about being able to do this, but then I heard about the restrictions of certain phones. Damn, will I be disappointed.
Restrictions? To what phones?
